University of Commenor
Welcome Center
Mi'la Undari Mliss Roo Mliss Roo
It was the University's Day of Archeological Remembrance. All throughout the various schools within the university, students and faculty were in the midst of final preparations to display their works on archaeological remembrance throughout the galaxy. It was a weeklong convention, hosted within university grounds, with a multitude of speakers, classes, special displays, and discussion groups of important and vital archeological findings since the Four Hundred-Year Darkness. Technological wonders, Force Organizations, Ancient Lore and artifacts, species of fauna, and flora brought back from extinction. Name it, and odds were, that there would be special interest archaeological groups who came to the convention to discuss their passion and network either for work, internships, or even funding.

Ambling along in a quiet manner, a tall, and slim young girl of a youthful appearance would weave her way through the crowd. She had been tasked to hurry towards the welcoming committee so as to be an escort for visiting students or guests. The white and gray student robe she wore had a small pin along the right side of her chest, indicating her to be a student of the Department of Engineering Cybernetics. It was a stark contrast to the brightly colored strands of her hair, pinned up and away from her face, falling in shades of magenta, aquamarine, indigo, and cobalt. There was a multitude of muted brown, beige, salmon, and cornflower blue markings along her face, tracing down along her neck and across the expanse of her exposed arms.

With a slight murmur of apology, she quietly side-stepped a tall Kamonian, bowing her head in respect -- only to suddenly crash onto someone else as soon as she'd straightened and turned to continue her path...

M’liss was SO excited! She had many many hobbies, her most prominent and permanent that of an author. She traveled all around the galaxy in search for story idea’s, from Nar Shadda to Coruscant to an unnamed planet in Wild Space.

Needless to say, she met every type of person that was in the galaxy. From Smugglers to University teachers- and that last one is what lead her here today. A lovely teacher by the name of Mrs Letta, she had met on Tatooine, had told her about today!

Originally she was Having too good of a time doing demolition work for DarkWire, because, Why not? Now she was interested in a new story

A young girl visits a University for seemingly harmless reasons- but there are many other reasons behind her coming to this place, so many-

Then Mliss was thrown out of her thoughts by slamming straight into someone. “Oof!” She stumbled backwards before promptly falling on her behind.

Ha-! Now this is how it feels to randomly run into fate! Hmmm- It feels... like I fell in a puddle of something.

Mliss laughs at her odd thoughts and looked to whom she collided with. It was a tall, slim and quite young looking girl. M’liss immediately took in the pin that sat on her robes.

A student then-Aha! The young girl with the hidden agenda decided to stretch out to those around her. Mingling with the populace.

“I am so sorry- that was my fault,” Mliss said as she stood up and offered the girl a hand,”I prooobably should have been looking where I was going.”

Needless to say, the sudden clash made Zaiya's iridescent eyes widen in alarm, the muted rose gold of her skin shifting to a pale green, the indigo stripes along her skin melting into a pink of embarrassment, and her iridescent spots along her cheeks and neck mottling to a pale yellow.

"Forgive me," Zaiya immediately bowed her head, sending the multicolored strands of long hair falling forward, heat flooding her face as her embarrassment manifested in a kaleidoscopic shifting of color. Her voice was low, the typically introverted Lovalla seemingly placed on the spot.

"No, it is my fault. I should have been aware of my surroundings," multicolored eyes would stare down at the shorter female, and while the Mliss Roo Mliss Roo as a Lorrdian could not interpret a Lovalla's color-changing combination and what they meant, the kinetic reading of her body would surely relay the taller girl's anxiety.

Being a Lorrdian gave Mliss much insight into the emotions and feelings of others due to their unspoken language. It is especially helpful when you cannot interpret another species body sighs. This was one of those times. The beautiful and mottled skin colour of the Lovalla’s skin changed when they crashed- though Mliss had met many of her kind, she had yet to find out the exact meaning of each flush.

She didn’t need to know what the colors meant to know that the unsuspecting crash caused the taller girl some anxiety. Though Mliss didn’t quite know why- an unsuspected crash was a BRILLIANT opportunity for meetingnew people, but she sought to but her worry at ease.

For if one wears yellow she is directly offering to be bright!

“You know,” Mliss said with a laugh,”This is the third time I crashed into someone today!! I really should stay out of my head while walking, I hope you aren’t hurt.“

Then Mliss noticed her notepad was on the floor- looking sad and wet. Letting out a small gasp Mliss grabbed it off the floor and started waving it around rather crazily to try and dry it.

Noooooo! So many stories!!!! Dry dry dry dry!!!

Slip had been minding his own business, walking through the crowd, when he slipped on the puddle of water, and lost his balance.

Okay, in his defense, he had been more or less distracted by the two girls that had crashed into each other nearby. And there was quite a lot happening around him, and his hyper-reactive mind was always swarming to take everything in. That was the curse of being a genetically modified supersoldier.

Slip was here in the University because it was the University's Day of Archeological Remembrance. Ever since his meeting with Jacen Nimdok Jacen Nimdok , Slip had had a mild fascination of history and stuff related to that. So, here he was. Curse Nimdok and his long, nerdy lectures.

As Slip lay on the ground, dazed, the shadow man seemed to be having a blast at watching Slip fall. Of course, no one but Slip could see, hear, or in anyway even notice that the shadow man was there. The shadow man was most likely another hallucination of Slip's, but he was uncertain about that, as occasionally some people could see and hear the shadow man. Or maybe Slip was, without him realizing it, using the Force to project what he could see hear, and feel onto other people. Whatever the case, most of the time only Slip could see him.

As the shadow man laughed, Slip lay on the ground in a daze. He had hit his head pretty hard on the ground, so no doubt he was dazed and confused. And he probably had a concussion. Great, just great.

"Why does stuff like this always happen to me?" He moaned quietly as he lay in the puddle of water, next to the two girls that had run into each other.

For a brief moment, Zaiya was at a loss. Her mouth fell open only to close, unsure of what to say. Yet as soon as it became evident that the young woman's notepad was now sodden with water, the Lovalla's anxiety rose anew.

"I am so, so, sorry!" fretting in place as she tried to search for something to help assist in drying the sheets of filmsi. Gone were the pink stripes of embarrassment from her face, instead they melted into a daffodil yellow of concern. Her base color went from the tinge of green of embarrassment to a silver of fright. The cherry on top was the manner by which those pale yellow spots would shimmer a pale gold of distress.

"Here, use my robe to dry it!"
Zaiya would insist, grabbing the fabric of her white skirt to offer it to the blonde to help dry her notepad. It was at that exact same time that Subject 648 Slipknot Subject 648 Slipknot figure would slip, flail, and then crash onto the ground. The sudden sound and the resulting anxiety over the situation only prompted a jumpstart to the Lovalla's emotions, an overwhelming wave of alarm enhancing the outer edges of her markings and provoke the rare bioluminescent burnished golden

.

A half step towards the boy, only to stop and look at the blonde apologetically, "Forgive me, one moment," and then back at the boy, "Are you alright?" she asked, bending down to try and assist him to his feet.

It was strange being here. So many years since she last walked the halls, she had nearly forgotten what it was like. Mi'la put on a smile as the students milled about, moving past the Twi'lek as if she wasn't even there. The Day of Archeological Remembrance brought back bittersweet memories for the wayward Archeologist, her studies here having been long since abandoned due to life interjecting itself against her will. She couldn't help but wonder where her life might have taken her if she hadn't been picked up by jedi, if she had just ignored the last time her parents had tried to reach out to her, if she had just finished her program like she had planned; maybe none of this would have never happened. Now she walked the halls, neither an Archeologist, nor a jedi; or at least a jedi with no force powers.

Up ahead, a new development caught her attention, as a pair of women seemed to be hovering over a man that was laying on his back. The trio seemed to be having so manner of commotion, but the former padawan was unable to decipher what was going on. The social anxieties of being at her old school took hold, and Mi'la desperately wished to distract herself from it, so she moved to attempt and hold a conversation with the trio. "Is everything okay over here?" She inquired, her hands clutching together as she made the trio in a quad.

"Her entire existence terrifies me to no end"
Mliss was hopping around, waving her arms in absurd ways to try and try her notepad, then there was a loud crash from behind them. The tall girl spoke.
"Forgive me, one moment.

They both turned to the boy that was now lying in the very puddle of water Mliss had previously sat in.

I feel you man- a wet bottom is no joke.

"Are you alright?"

The girl asked as she knelt down next to the boy to help him up, then Mliss noticed something. She knew this boy!! She smiled, giving a small disbelieving laugh, while still waving one arm about to try and dry the notepad. She knelt down as well next to the green-haired boy, ceasing in her antics. He looked dazed, lying there moaning.

"Are you alright Slip?"

She asked him, genuinely concerned. They had become friends a few months earlier- him being one of the few who could put up with her. Before, or even if he was going to answer, a gorgeous purple twilek came up to them. She had her hands clasped in front of her, and Mliss, as a Lorrdian, could tell that she was anxious. Not about the current situation, but about... generally being here. If Mliss had to guess, that was the reason she decided to come over, though she had no opinion on that.

Hm- the group grows around the girl with 'harmless' reasons for being there. But her cover may have been blown by a one in ten billion encounter.

Mliss again looked anxiously at Slip before the woman spoke.

The twilek came over and spoke
"Is everything okay over here?"

Slip heard someone ask if he was okay. Did it look like he was "okay"? Probably not. He was laying in a puddle of water after knocking his head on the ground. He didn't feel "okay". Then again, it was all in perspective. Did she mean "okay" in a general sense, or more of in a rhetorical stance? Slip was definitely overthinking this.

He looked up, and saw one of the girls that ran into each other standing over him, bending over him. She was strange, with a ton of shifting colors all over her body. From what he could tell, both through observation, previous knowledge, and through the Force, her colors corresponded to her emotions, and boy, was she anxious.

"I... I think I hit my head on the ground. How many of you are there supposed to be?" He asked her, as he could currently see three of her standing over him. That... most certainly was not good. He'd be fine, it was just a minor bump and he'd be perfectly normal by the end of the day. Still, it did not help with his already broken mind.

The amount of anxiety coming off the girl fed to Slip's own anxiety. Oh Force, and she was really anxious, quite a lot like Slip, actually. It was definitely not helping his own anxiety.

Just then, the other girl knelt down next to Slip. Slip turned to her, pure shock written across his face as he recognized her, but then he smiled.

"Are you alright Slip?"

"Not as bad as when we first met." He laughed weakly. Mliss was also anxious, and Slip had no idea why. Usually, she was blindingly upbeat and excitement, to the point where it gave him a headache, but he still put up with her, apparently not a lot of people could/would. But despite the fact that the sheeramount of positive energy radiating off her gave him kind of a headache, she did help to ease some of his anxieties with said energy. But now, she seemed kind of nervous, which made Slip nervous, which added on to his already festering anxiety.

"Is everything okay over here?"

Slip turned to the newcomer, it was a strangely familiar Twi'lek, one Slip had definitely seen. Slip thought about where he might have seen her... He got it! He had seen her around the Silver Jedi. She was a Jedi, he remembered, but something was off about her, just like the last couple of times he had seen her. But he couldn't put his finger on it.

But with the entrance of the newcomer, she brought more of her anxieties the the group, adding more of it to Slip's own anxieties. This was absolutely horrible, he could barely even think without hearing the anxieties speaking to him, just making his situation even worse. He put his hands on his head, clenching his teeth.

"Okay, okay! Can everyone please back up! Just, step back for a minute! Gah! Just- Just give me some space!" He suddenly yelled out, snapping at the three ladies. He couldn't take it anymore. It was terrible, feeling his own anxieties, reinforced by the anxieties of the other three. The voices were getting louder, now overlapping each other, ever increasing in volume.

Slip exhaled a shaky breath. "I'm- I'm sorry. I just... All of you crowding me, I can feel your anxieties, and they're feeding to my own. It feels so suffocating. Please, can everyone just- calm down? I can't take it anymore." He apologized, he had lost control, which was very dangerous for Slip. If he lost control and fell too deep, he would fall into insanity, and never come out of the depths. He'd been training to control it, but sometimes, it was just too much.

"Okay... I'm good now. Sorry." He affirmed. "Can I- erm- have some help getting to the infirmary? I think I hit my head a bit too hard." Slip told them.

Subject 648 Slipknot Subject 648 Slipknot 's anxiety fed on Zaiya's and now the whole encounter had her fretting about like a bird, seemingly shuffling left and right, wringing her hands, her skin a riot of colors and glowing biolumicent highlights.

"My apologies," Zaiya replied to the younger boy's anxious plea for space, although she had to struggle with wanting to step in right back and check to see if he was wounded anywhere or if he had a concussion. Thankfully, Mliss Roo Mliss Roo , the young blonde she'd bumped into seemed to be familiar with Subject 648 Slipknot Subject 648 Slipknot .

Another voice joined the fray, a Twi'lek (Mi'la Undari ) with lovely lavender skin - as a Lovalla she couldn't help but admire it - and Zaiya immediately gave a dip of her head in greeting, "Forgive us for any interruption. I accidentally caused a ruckus," taking the blame on herself for the sudden chaos.

Turning back to Subject 648 Slipknot Subject 648 Slipknot , "Oh no, you are all wet. " she began to fret again, biting her lip and looking around. "Maybe we can find you some fresh clothes..."

"Her entire existence terrifies me to no end"
“Sorry ‘bout that.” Mliss obediently scooted backwards a bit, covering up her worry for him and the now-deceased Sheela with the Force.

True that- her trust companion was... Dead. From race tracks to ships to jumping into a Sarlacc's mouth for fun... Shyan was safely locked up somewhere after the Rathtar incident... The only part of her past left. The visitor mourned for a second of her lost and dead friend. Then she straightened her shoulders- she had more important things to handle. Though could they be more important than Sheela's funeral...

Of course- being that Sheela was dead. Mliss had no way of writing this stuff down- so it just frothed in her head. Of course, this wasn't really the best thing for her... There was a reason she had to write down the first story that came to mind. Otherwise, her mind would get... crowded and she's go a bit... Beserk. She shrugged it off though- and hoped she could acquire another pad soon.

"Okay... I'm good now. Sorry." He affirmed. "Can I- erm- have some help getting to the infirmary? I think I hit my head a bit too hard." Slip told them.

Mliss nodded, sighing mentally as another story idea popped to mind. She stood and offered him her hand as Zaiya Ceti Zaiya Ceti offered to get him some dry clothes.

"Course- that sounds like a good idea." She agreed as she helped him up.

The perfect way for the unsuspected visitor to look around- the infirmary. The perfect cover story. The visitor kept her face blank but smirked on the inside, this was FAR too easy for her talents.

At the talk of the infirmary, the young woman's mottled spots across her skin gave a ripple of silver, a positive twist in her emotional state. While her stripes were still tinged yellow to reflect concern, there was now a new focus.

"Here, let me guide you to the nurse," she would offer, still gesturing with her hands as if unable to stop her fretting over Subject 648 Slipknot Subject 648 Slipknot . She turned towards Mliss Roo Mliss Roo , adding, "Since you appear to be acquainted with him, may I ask you to come along?"

Turning towards Mi'la Undari, she bowed again, her skin flushing a pale green to reflect embarrassment as her stripes melted into a pale pink. "Forgive us for intruding. Please let me know if I can be of any assistance once I take care of the youngling's injuries."

Mi'la wasn't sure what she had stumbled upon, but it seemed to be a bit of a work hazard. The Twi'lek examined both parties, unsure of how to proceed. If she still had her force powers, she would have offered to help, but alas she was just....a non force user. The was nearly killed on Onderon, her attempts to keep friends close at hand failed several times on Nar Shaddaa, and even her own master had effectively abondoned her. What was she even doing here? Looking for some meaning? A purpose in this seemingly endless void of the forcelessness? Truth be told, she didn't know.

Her brow furrowed as she stepped back, unsure how to respond to Zaiya Ceti Zaiya Ceti as the woman bowed to her. She apologized twice before Mi'la had even gotten a word in. The Twi'lek smiled, bowing in return as she left her jedi laments behind, focusing on holding a conversation. "No need to be sorry, I was just looking to walk around my old school. If anything, I'm sorry for disturbing you." She explained, seeing that the trio were intent on taking the young man to see someone that could actually be of some use, she had a realization. She needed to go somewhere she could actually do go, and stop lamenting her current life. She didn't belong here, perhaps she never did. "Apologies, I hope your companion is well." It was foolish to even come here. Frowning, she took several steps back, before leaving the way she had come.

She still had a role to play in this world. Only, she didn't know what that was.
