The River Stone, a force-sensitive rock, could allow the owner to protect it's mind. However, during the process and ritual in which Via Dolorosa created her Heliox Stone through the dark magik spell and the dark side of the force, the stone had gone a radical change. Now instead of protecting a mind, once placed into a corpse it could reanimate the dead, once the incantation spell is activated, whist brining all the memories of the dead to the forefront of the mind.
Also, the stone's change now forced the corpse to answer truthfully any question it was presented. If no answer could be provided, it was clear the dead one's memory held no knowledge of what it was being asked.
Unlike other animation spells, the alchemized stone possessed one flaw; the inability to give the corpse mobility. At first, Via Dolorosa spied this as a failure; but later found the stone to be precious and rather useful. Now, she could extract information from any corpse, though the corpse must have been dead no longer than twelve hours to be effective. Anytime longer than twelve hours and the corpse was useless to both stone and Via Dolorosa.

- Resurrection Incantation (Dathomir Magik): The stone, now alchemized, is infused with the magik spell to reanimate the dead. However, the stone must be sewn or surgically placed into a corpse for it work properly. Unlike the spell itself, the lifespan of which the stone is activated within a corpse is ten minutes. During that time, the corpse though animated possesses no mobility only speech and memory recollection. After the expiration of time, the corpse cannot be re-animated.
- Speak the Truth: The stone, through the ritual it underwent, forces the temporary living corpse to answer any question truthfully, or to the best of their knowledge.
- Limited Function: As stated in the special features, the stone cannot grant the corpse mobility; thus discarding the ability for the corpse to fight on behalf of the owner who resurrected it. In essence, outside movement of the mouth only, the corpse lies in a state of paralysis. Also, the corpse must be dead no longer than twelve hours for the stone to be effective.
