This masterfully crafted steel shield was throughout its creation imbued with the light side of the Force, from the first strike of the blacksmiths hammer to the last. Its heavy phrik body is able to withstand countless blows from sword and lightsaber alike, and can easily deflect blaster fire and projectile weapons, but its main feature is its powerful connection to the Force. It forms a connection to its master not unlike that of a Force bond, and lasts until the master passes away or becomes corrupted by the dark side. The owner may summon the shield with but a thought, from any distance until in their possession. It was designed to adhere only to Thurion Heavenshield and his descendants, so that they may ever shield the innocent against the forces of darkness.
Strengths:
- An incredibly durable and sturdy metal shield, capable of blocking damage from projectiles, explosives and energy weapons, including lightsabers.
- Imbued by the light side of the Force, it forms a bond with its master who is able to summon it to his side at will.

- Cannot be wielded by anyone but its current owner, and only by members of the Heavenshield family.

When the Sith descended upon the unassuming world of Midvinter, her people were unprepared for the sheer onslaught brought on by the followers of the dark side and the resulting slaughter left countless dead in its wake on both sides. With the aid of the Silver Jedi, coupled with the re-emerging Beorni people turning the tide at the crucial moment, the Sith were beaten back and were forced to retreat back into the shadows. The battle left Thurion Heavenshield with a deep sense of loss and grief, having to watch his homeworld become entangled in the most ancient struggle between light and dark, all because of him and his ties to it. It was his last battle as Grandmaster. Now retired from his duty to the Silvers alongside his wife [member="Coci Heavenshield"], they settled down on Midvinter were they would raise their newborn son Thirdas.
During this time, Thurion began work on this most ambitious project of his; a symbol his people could rally behind in times of need, able to stand against the tides of evil unflinchingly. This shield was worked by the finest blacksmiths on Midvinter - Valkyri and Beorni master craftsmen joining forces to achieve perfection - and was throughout its creation imbued with the power of the light side of the Force by the former Grandmaster himself. Four focus crystals were incorporated into the face of the shield, each bonded to him and filled to the brim with lightside energy. The process left him feeble and weary, pouring so much of himself into this relic, but he was determined to make it as powerful as could be, for when all memory of him is long gone, this Heavenshield will remain.
Because it is so attuned to the light, anyone corrupted by darkness is unable to even lift it off the ground. No matter the amount of strength or evil sorcery, it will not budge. Even amongst Jedi its use is highly restricted, limited solely to members of the Heavenshield family. It can ever belong to but one master, bonded until death or the wielder is corrupted by darkness, in which case it will fall to the ground as if no more than a hunk of metal and remain there until another Heavenshield proves worthy of it. With but a thought its owner may summon it to their side, soaring through the air from halway around the world if need be.
