OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
SETTING INFORMATION
  • Structure Name: The Hawk's Den
  • Classification: A Casino
  • Location: The Promenade, Nar Shadaaa
  • Affiliation: Ar'ekk Daesharacor
  • Accessibility:
The Hawk's Den is a casino located in the heart of the extravagant Promenade sector in Nar Shaddaa. It features a single front entrance with a set of small steps rising towards the main hall of the establishment with two security guards standing as part of the screening process. This casino is located in the centric part of The Promenade which means it's easily visible/accessible for any prospective client.
  • Security:
Albeit being a newly inaugurated establishment, The Hawk's Den provides its clientele with a vast amount of bodyguards and security on high alert should any situation arise. Most of the security staff members are armed with small blasters and count with military experience.

One of the requirements put in place by The Hawk's Den administration is that every single person must go through a screening procedure where they're patted down from head to toes and if any illegal weaponry is found, they must be confiscated and placed in a secure locker before entering. Security cameras record every movement at any given time in multiple locations throughout the casino and including the main gambling tables, slot machines, VIP area, etcetera.

The administration also counts with two heavy laser turrets that are located in strategical points of the casino's interior should any situation of high consideration should surface to provide its clientele the safest experience.
  • Description:
The establishment's exterior counts with a large bright neon advertisement hologram above its entrance. The steps lead up to a bright red carpet and a plethora of candy-eye designs in the walls, floor and ceiling. Inside there's an abundance of gambling machines, television sets broadcasting different galactic sports in a 24/7 schedule, Pazaak tables and anything that a casino should include in terms of variety for its clients or visitors.

POINTS OF INTEREST

"The Hawk's Den" Main Hall: As part of the entrance for The Hawk's Den, the main hall was decorated in the most awe-strucking way possible to draw in customers to play in the casino. Two bodyguards stood guard before anyone could enter the hall itself and behind them stood a big metallic structure which sole purpose was to scan visitors for any weaponry.

Dimka's Sports Bar & Cantina: The sports bar counts with many high-definition televisions so gamblers could see their favorite teams play/perform and see how well they did since the casino offers sports betting as part of its many main entertainment forms. In the middle of the sports bar is the cantina, which offs many different types of beverages for any kind of individual whether they were off-worlders or not.

Pure Pazaak!: The Pazaak tables occupy the largest part of the gambling area in the southern side of the casino with multiple seats available for those who wished to join into the games. A maximum of four croupiers per table are available to conduct the games, hand payouts and distribute the bets made.

Slot Machines Area: Pretty self-explaining, the slot machines are assigned to the medium sized area of the casino in the south-eastern side. A vast quantity of machines with different payouts and rewards are available for clients, ranging from galaxy themed to miscellaneous games.

VIP Area: This area is restricted to high-profile individuals associated to The Hawk's Den and its slots were usually reserved with anticipation prior to contacting the casino's administration. A variety of comfortable couches, gambling tables and a bar are available for those who wished to spend their evening in this area.

Bareek's Lounge: A resting place away from the loud music and chatter of gamblers, the Lounge acts as the main meeting spot for clients to discuss whatever they liked: Business, daily life, etcetera. Its availability of comfortable couches, sofas and small tables were perfect for someone with a headache after playing all day. A plethora of waiters and waitresses roamed around the Lounge to offer their assistance to the casino's clients should they need a beverage, food or other type of service.

Buffet: The administrator's favorite is the all-you-can-eat Buffet. The Hawk's Den offers only the most exclusive and exquisite cuisine in the Promenade and the Buffet displayed its most delicious delicatessen to the public who were free to pick any combination of food. Every single type of food of the galaxy is available in here without excluding any plate whatsoever.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

After being abandoned for at least a few years, the old structure of now called "The Hawk's Den" was renovated by Ar'ekk Daesharacor who is a rising underworld figure and also Jedi Padawan with an ambition not many people have or would expect from someone of his calamity. Despite being a Jedi, his desire to earn a generous amount of money expanded before his reach and gained a substantial quantity of credits by performing multiple jobs for a local crime lord called Gorba The Hutt. This abandonded place found a new place with Ar'ekk Daesharacor who quickly put things in motion to make this place an opportunity to increase his wealth and become acquainted with multiple underworld figures to gain more cash in the process.

The Hawk's Den is enroute to becoming one of the most successful casinos in Nar Shaddaa's Promenade thanks to Ar'ekk's involvement and investment. This place would become one of the major hotspots and meeting places for criminal figures spread out through Nar Shaddaa and that motivated the young Jedi warrior to expand his operations although these ideas would remain in the shadows depending on how this new venue does in the nearby future. It's certain that there's a lot of potential and hopefully this would become a stable business opportunity to finally settle down in a place instead of going back and forth without a set path as Ar'ekk had done for the past years ever since the end of the war in Malachor V.

With the backing of an unnamed criminal organization, the Jedi's urge to expand to other type of business would become as lucrative and with the credits earned by the casino he could make his greatest dreams come true should everything go as planned. The Hawk's Den is truly a gem but had to be managed with patience and extreme care so it doesn't become a failure all of the sudden. It was finally time for Ar'ekk Daesharacor, former war-veteran, to be paid back after all the sacrificies he had made without being given anything in exchange despite losing so much. It was time and he knew it.
