Kark.

All the lanterns had gone out in their area. Just as Mic froze, he felt his arm being grabbed. Looking down. he saw Ash clinging to him in the light of the moon.

Huh.

Mic grin spread from ear to ear again. He did not expect this kind of reaction from her. He should do this kind of thing more often to bring her along for. He was also quite surprised when she said that going home empty handed wouldn't be so bad.
"Wait, you don't want go trinket hunting anymore?" he almost pouted. Yes spooks were scary. Yes, the dark was creepy. But there's got to be something of value around here.

Noises could be heard in the darkness. What in Hoth was going on? What kind of blob monster was making its way towards them? He did not have enough booze to face blob monsters.

Mic pushed Ash behind him and pulled his blaster. This bum was shooting first and asking questions later. He was just about to spray and pray when laughter rang out through the night.
"Whoa, dude! Please don't shoot! We were just messing!" a young voice called out and some torches clicked on and shone in their direction. In the light of them, Mic saw that it was a bunch of adolescent kids. Mic sighed and holstered his blaster.
"Get out of here" he said, somewhat annoyed. He could have shot them. Jeez.

He needed a drink.

What had he just said? "What?" Ashryn's attention shifted from looking around, to Mic. What had he just asked her? Did she not want to treasure-- Oh! Quickly the blonde's head shook and she loosed one of her hands only long enough to wave away his concern. "No, I do. Bring on the trinkets." she assured him, then put her hand right back against his arm with the other one to keep herself pulled close to him. She didn't care what it looked like, or if it bothered him, or anyone else around for that matter. It made her feel safe - which she was undoubtedly question later - and that was all that mattered.

Though when Mic shifted around and drew his blaster, Ash had stepped only just slightly behind him, one hand still against his arm, so that she was out of the way. And then the lanterns regained their light and there was laughter. Laughter!

That made Ash frown and she stepped out from behind Mic so that she could get a good look at these obnoxious youths. "Seriously?!" she growled out, scowling now. "What is wrong with you?" she stooped to pick up what she could only figure was a small chunk of metal and threw it after the retreating group. Once they were out of sight, she scoffed loudly and laid her hands against her hips. "What the hell would they have done if you'd have shot on the draw? Honestly, the intelligence of some people..."

Yeah, he wasn't the only one who needed a drink - even if Ash didn't know he was thinking the same thing.
