Yeehaw, Pardner: Against all odds, provided that (and perish the thought) THE Hat isn’t destroyed and the owner hasn't yee'd their last haw, it has a strange way of always returning to its chosen owner. As if not even the force can bear to see them parted for any length of time.

Is What It Is: It’s a Hat. It offers no real protection. Beyond an extremely mild force imbuement, which can be negated through standard means, it has nothing going for it.

Boy howdy, when you see a hat like this, you know this ain’t your regular run of the mill lid for that leaky brainpan of yours. Why, a hat this fine, well, it simply ain’t deserving anything less than to be known THE Hat, you feel me?
Sure, it might lack all those fancy accoutrements that those core world fellas seem to love in spades, with their hoighty toighty feathers and spickspack spangling glitterdust, but you know in your gut of guts that stuff ain’t what makes a hat a hat. It takes grit, gumption and a whole lot of soul to fashion something truly great, something truly iconic and legendary. Something with which to yee all your live long day haws.
And if that ain’t just what THE Hat happens to be, well, there’s something clearly wrong with this ‘verse.
Providence wise, befitting its aforementioned status, THE Hat is something of a mystery. Which is to say, it simply turned up one day and Mav Vohaloveer never got around to questioning the hows and whys of it. It fit, and that was enough for him.
