  • Intent:
My intent is here is to provide further depth to a personal story arc in which Brennan Cabrol (Caehl Ren) received an essence transfer by that of [member="Darth Carnifex"] and [member="Ara Zambrano"]. Using the former (Original) body that Brennan once inhabited, a clone consciousness will instead be placed that it might continue to represent Brennan's interests and endeavors within battle and duty of the Knights of Ren while he himself can serve the First Order in other avenues all kept black-listed, Highly confidential and off record.

This will not replace or remove Brennan Cabrol as a character in any capacity but rather act as an extension and counterpart to his new endevours, expanding upon the characters potential story and possible directions.

  • Role: Clone - Knight of Ren.

  • Age: Early 30's
  • Force Sensitivity: Knight Of Ren
  • Species: Human
  • Appearance:
Almost always seen wearing the Armor fitted to his cybernetic implants, for those to see Caehl Ren without his helm represents a great deal of trust for the individual in question. In size alone Caehl Ren is an intimidating presence sculpted throughout his training with the Academy on Skye and the Bastion of Ren upon the world of Virgillia.

His broad and masculine form only complimented by the phrik battle attire, stands at a height of six foot three, the epitome and representation of what a Knight of Ren should appear for the sake of their cause and pursuit in their duties.

That said, with the removal of his attire, the scars covering the left side of his head and upper torso are severe and shocking. His left eye has been rebuilt with a synthetic implant giving off a dull red glow behind the artificial iris and from all accounts his experience in battle is evidenced by these scars.

Where he walks in stride, the weight of his body modifications holds no bars in subtly, his footsteps cannot be hidden nor does he seek to attempt to take to any stealth actions for he is simply too large and stands out far too much to avoid such fortunes.

Forever armed with his lightsaber hooked to the left side of his belt, a blaster pistol on his right and several incendiary grenades at the back of his waist, his is a threatening presence to all those outside of the Knights of Ren and a continued reminder of their readiness to crush the opposition of the Supreme Leader's righteous cause.

  • Name: Caehl Ren, Knight of Ren.
  • Loyalties: The First Order, The Order of Ren.
  • Wealth: All Financial requirements are covered through The First Order, his wealth is null and void.
  • Notable Possessions:
Sith Dirk
Lightsaber
P-23 Sidearm Pistol
Incendiary Grenades

SB-U01 Wrist Datapad
Talisman of Calling
Furious Class Corvette
  • Skills: (The Force)
Tactus Otium
Altus Sopor
Art of the Small
Curato Salva
Tutaminis
Telekinesis
Telepathy
  • Skills:
Lightsaber Combat - Caehl Ren is most skilled in the lightsaber form of Djem So, yet is experienced in the other six forms taught by the Jedi and the Sith alike.

Melee Weapons Combat - As a pre-requisite within the Order of Ren, Caehl Ren was expected to train in a variety of weapons and has adopted a liking for aggressive and confrontational weapons rather than the likes of ranged fire-arms such as blasters.

Hand-to-Hand Combat - A jaw shattering strength like few others, his arms and hands are reinforced by phrik and metal plating making him an imposing force to be reckoned with when engaging in hand to hand combat.

Commanding Presence - Through his experience in battle and the authority vested to him as a Knight of Ren, Caehl Ren has learned to become a commanding presence for the First Order Military, lifting morale in his joining them in battle and directing them in mission critical tactics.
  • Personality:
Caehl Ren's personality is seemingly cold and defiant of all; his refusal to admit to personal sentimentality and the denial of everything that has come to pass before his entrance into the Order of Ren has given others around him the impression that he is incapable of portraying an individual stance upon life and all matters therein.

His opinions are shaped by his perceptions of what the Supreme Leader, Sieger Ren would approve of. The entirety of his dedication and devotion to The First Order borders upon extremist fanaticism, and at one stage of his life having had attempted to take his own life for the deterrence of the First Order's enemies.

For lack of a better way to describe the Knight of Ren, he is emotionally scarred and unstable yet too in complete denial of these faults and his allegiance to the Order of Ren is unwavering, it is therefore rather more likely that the only victims of his short temper and eager blood-letting be felt upon those outside of their own.

  • Weapon of Choice:
Though he is a skilled swordsman with the lightsaber, Caehl Ren's signature weapon is the use of his Sith Imbued Short Sword (Dirk) accompanied with the use of the Talisman of Calling acquired through the reach and contacts of the First Order Security Bureau.

The Artifact for which can be worn either as a ring or around his neck has the unnatural ability to summon the short-sword for a short duration of two hours; the price for this combination however was the original weapons destruction in order to be paired and therefore summoned by the conjuring tool.

The blade itself however was constructed for Caehl Ren in the early days of his entrance into the Order of Ren, the weapon carries a specific poison known to the Sith as the "Blood boiler" in which can result in excruciating death upon contact with the skin.

Two hours however is the limit of it's calling and once the weapon has been dispersed off, it takes equal time for the Talisman to "recharge" thus making this weapon of choice a matter of tactical decision and often leaving the Knight of Ren relying heavily upon his Lightsaber.

  • Combat Function:
Ground combat and general warefare is a strong emphasis on Caehl Ren's usefulness for the First Order and the Knights of Ren.

Due to his cybernetic body modifications, Caehl Ren has become a front-lines elite of the First Order. Where some of his peers are more skilled in manipulating politics or taking charge in naval conflicts, Caehl Ren's preference in battle is up close and personal taking to one or any number of foes with melee combat.

His physical capabilities have been amplified due to the strength of metal used to reinforce his skeletal structure and compensate for lost limbs and muscle mass since the battle of Bespin. His strength is twice that of a normal humans though can be rivaled by other known species (Such as the Valkyri for example).

Due to the majority of his form being artificial however, his ability in the Force has fallen short and will not grow beyond that of his present experience as a Knight of Ren. To account for this loss in potential, on top of these augmented parts has been the creation of his Armor for which can counter energy displacement weapons and that of Force Lightening.

His Helm allows for advanced visual and audio acuity while also serving as a means to remain in contact with the Order of Ren or otherwise reach out across military frequencies in the field of battle. Combined with the use of his Ocular-Neural Interface, his ability to see beyond situational deterrants such as smoke, darkness or low temperature climates has been succeeded with the aid of thermal, infra-red and night vision as well as an advanced targeting system for which speeds up his cognitive reflexes ensuring Caehl Ren to be a significant threat towards the First Order's opposition.

  • Clone Consciousness - Walks, talks and thinks like [member=Brennan Cabrol] and thus ensures absolute secrecy behind the lie that is the nature of Caehl Ren's continued existance.

  • Torrent of Might - A walking tank and aggressor of physical confrontation, Caehl Ren excels in close quarters combat whether by use of melee weapons or hand-to-hand combat.

  • Iron Will - Caehl Ren is defiantly armed and well equipped to face the heat of battle. His armor protects against energy displacement charges and softens the impact of strong kinetic damages. While not indestructible, his armament is a continued threat to those directly engaging him and compliments the strength that his cybernetics provide him.

F83ecFK.png

  • Force Impaired - While Caehl Ren is able to use the Force and commands it in the strength equal to a Jedi or Sith Knight, his expertise and ability will go no further in progression and thus will be out-classed by others whom surpass him in their training.

  • Alarming Presence - Caehl Ren is an obvious target for bystanders seeking unusual sights, his appearance and make of armor and body modifications rids him of any potential secrecy of presence and is devoid of any potential assignments where the need for stealth and subtlety is required.

  • Ranged Combat - Caehl Ren is a stronghold warrior in close quarters yet falls short in ranged weapons training and the ability to reach targets outside of his threshold within the Force.

  • Goliath's Pace - Weighted down and built of muscle, his mobility is lack-luster when compared to the average trooper. Caehl Ren is rarely seen moving in any speed above that of a stride both within and outside of combat. While this may appear intimidating, it will leave him at a great disadvantage where evasion is concerned.

  • Reliant upon respiratory and homeostatic life support systems - Due to the nature of past injuries and the artificial replacement of his lungs and heart, Caehl Ren's life is forever tied to the workings of the First Order Security Bureau. Due to this, should the faraday cage within his armor be destroyed and he then hit with a significant Ion or anti-energy displacement field, his life will be forfeit.

  • Kill Switch - Against his knowledge and at the instruction of [member="Samka Derith"], a kill switch was embedded within the brain of Caehl Ren, that of which remains following the essence transfer and upon her mere choosing, fleeting or otherwise, can induce severe brain damage and result in his immediate death.

  • The Will and Testament of Sieger Ren - Caehl Ren is so devout in his service to the Supreme Leader that he has become something of a fanatic extremist for the Order Of Ren. His refusal to acknowledge any sense of individuality forfeits any potential sentimentality where friendships, alliances and personal pursuits would otherwise be possible. He is a tool to be used by the Upper Echelon of the Order of Ren and plays his part perfectly, portraying a strong lack of self regard where his mission parameters might otherwise take priority.

The History of Caehl Ren is a complicated story to tell, one not entirely his own to claim for [member=Brennan Cabrol] is responsible for all actions taken and leading up to this point. In order to accurately describe the history of this Clone Consciousness to the Knight of Ren, we must look at what occurred upon the world of Bespin during the First Order's defense against the invading armies of the Galactic Alliance.

In a bid to remove the First Order and take over control of the sector, the Knights of Ren were called in response to the encroaching invasion force of the Alliance. There they targeted civilian cities and the nearby Hilikan Industrial Smelting Plant for which Caehl Ren and [member="Ara Zambrano"] were tasked in securing. The battle that ensued would change both of their lives, it was brutal and bloody and on the cusp of his defeat at the hands of two Masters of the Jedi Order, Caehl Ren unleashed a wave of fire upon himself and his enemy, the Incendiary weapons meant to cleanse all and purge the good people of two opposing warriors of the light.

With the defeat of the Galactic Alliance, the First Order Security Bureau swept in to reclaim and recover the fallen soldiers of war. Among them was Caehl Ren's broken form for which the upper echelon and leadership of the Knights of Ren set to work upon in a bid to salvage what was left of his life; resulting in the half cyborg soldier that would soon be bestowed upon the title of Caehl Ren, a Knight of the Order of the Supreme Leaders vision.

In alignment with one another's motives as fellow Ren and servants of the Supreme Leader, Caehl Ren and Ara Zambrano slowly began to form a bond of trust in one another; yet forever marred in her frustration over the Knights complete and utter refusal to act as anything more than a tool to be used by that of their over lord, Ara sought to convince Caehl Ren of his worth as an individual for both his interests as well as provoking a stronger asset of the First Order, one of sound mind and tactical strength.

Seeing an opportunity in her connections through the Zambrano Dynasty, the Queen of the Pacanth Expanse took it upon herself to set Caehl Ren up, coordinating with the Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Carnifex for whom had been supplied a sample of Caehl Ren's biological DNA and thus created a Clone body of which resembled what he would have grown into had he not surrendered himself to death on Bespin. Through a twisted sense of loyalty and deception, Ara succeeded in her plans and the soul essence of Brennan Cabrol was transferred into the clone leaving his former form motionless and unused...-And this is where Caehl Ren and Brennan Cabrol were truly defined as individuals.

Rather than wasting the potential strength that he had grown accustomed to, Brennan Cabrol with the approval of Samka Derith used the experience within the Order of Ren to create a cloned consciousness of his own, installing it within the cybernetic husk that was formerly his body and giving rebirth to Caehl Ren, the Hand of Sieger Ren.

Now, with only the Council of the Order of Ren aware of this facade, Caehl Ren continues to serve as a Knight under the Order of the Supreme Leader, yet too advancing the motives of Brennan Cabrol as he seeks to use his new found position to give the Knights of Ren and eye on the inside of the First Order Security Bureau, acting as an agent for both sectors of the First Order Government and working to route out any and all possible vulnerabilities and keep the Order of Ren at the height of awareness for the greater good of his growing Empire.

Okay, so this is a bit of a tricky one.
Two of his Weaknesses are essentially negated by his equipment – the Armor offers extensive EMP/Ion protection, and the cybernetics allow him to move much faster than normal.

Speaking of equipment:

  • That's what you have listed as belonging to the old body / clone NPC.
  • But in Brennan Cabrol's biography, there's this:
d025a406ac34921e11b1cdbc9ca7410a.png

Since these things are all unique, only you, the PC, or Caehl the NPC can possess them. Please make sure to annotate that in some manner.

Looking at this as a whole, it pretty much reads as a PC in terms of power (kind of understandable, he's an extension of one). He's got a bunch of extremely powerful equipment and very solid Strengths. Compared to those, the Weaknesses fall a little short.

Thus, please tone this sub back a bit to a power level and breadth more fitting of a NPC. Either add some more Weaknesses or go easy on the strengths / equipment section, I'll leave it up to you.

Regarding my Character Biography and Special Inventory, I have removed all specific items meant for the use of this NPC.
These items were made and acquired specifically for the Character build, I had meant to cross them out as seen with the cybernetic submissions in your comment above.
These I have chosen to keep as they are provided by the First Order as a Faction and I felt don't add too greatly where his strengths and weaknesses are concerned.

As for the Submission itself, I understand the concerns and had expected some questions raised given that this is more or less my Character being refitted to the template of an NPC. In my experience it's not the most straight forward route to go and I will work on balancing it a bit more.

The Armor itself was created to bypass any potential weaknesses that might detriment his cybernetics due to the Kill Switch embedded in his head that otherwise might result in a Character Death.

Weaknesses Added:
  • Alarming Presence - Caehl Ren is an obvious target for bystanders seeking unusual sights, his appearance and make of armor and body modifications rids him of any potential secrecy of presence and is devoid of any potential assignments where the need for stealth and subtlety is required.
  • Ranged Combat - Caehl Ren is a stronghold warrior in close quarters yet falls short in ranged weapons training and the ability to reach targets outside of his threshold within the Force.
Strength Removed:
  • Zealot of Ren - Well beyond that of a fanatic now, Caehl Ren's faith in the vision of Sieger Ren has led to his becoming a known Extremist for The First Order and will stop at nothing to help the Supreme Leader achieve his overall vision for Order in the Galaxy. His lack of fear borders on insanity and his lack of self-regard has earned him a bloody reputation in battle.

Thank you, that works.
As powerful and well-equipped as Caehl Ren is, be aware that he's still just a NPC – unlike a PC, he can be killed without any special permissions.

Pending secondary.
