Following the fall of Coruscant and the Covenant's consolidation of power, reports began to circulate of unmarked Sith swords appearing across the capital—first in sealed vaults, then in the possession of select individuals who had distinguished themselves during the invasion and its aftermath. No formal announcement accompanied their emergence. No records exist of their manufacture, and no forge-world or artificer has ever claimed authorship. They were simply there, gathered and distributed with deliberate intent. Each sword bears the hallmarks of advanced Sith alchemy: a curved, serrated blade that does not dull, a weight that feels heavier than its size should allow, and a subtle distortion in the Force surrounding it. Embedded within the hilt is a Red Dantari crystal, an archaic and volatile focusing medium known for intensifying Dark Side resonance rather than harmonizing it. When wielded by a Force-sensitive aligned to the Dark Side, the blade functions as both weapon and conduit, amplifying aggression, grounding Force lightning, and allowing its bearer to channel destructive energies through the metal without immediate self-harm.

What sets these swords apart, however, is their inherent power to evoke a Force Wraith. When sufficient Dark Side energy is fed into the blade, a Force Wraith may manifest—an entity neither fully corporeal nor entirely immaterial, tethered metaphysically to the sword itself. These wraiths are capable of obeying direct commands, acting as extensions of the wielder's will. Recorded uses include battlefield assault, defensive screening, message delivery, and reconnaissance beyond line of sight. Observers describe the experience of witnessing a wraith's manifestation as profoundly unsettling, often reporting sensations of pressure, vertigo, or the impression of being watched from multiple angles at once. Strangely enough this sensation remains with the wielder each time a Wraith in summoned. Seducing them more and more further into the Darkside of the Force.

Despite their potency, the swords are not without risk. Force Wraiths remain vulnerable to Force light and purifying energies, which can vaporize them outright. Repeated exposure to such energies may damage the sword's alchemical bindings. Sustained lightsaber contact has also been shown to destabilize a wraith's form. As a result, wielders are warned—often informally—that careless reliance on the blade's metaphysical aspects may lead to catastrophic failure at critical moments. Among the Covenant, these swords have taken on an almost mythic reputation. To carry one is understood as a mark of proven worth and survival, though by what criteria such worth is measured remains unclear. Some claim the swords "choose" their bearers. Others insist they are distributed by unseen hands, guided by intent rather than hierarchy. What is known is that those who wield them are watched—by allies and rivals alike—and that the blades themselves seem to remember violence, responding more readily the more blood and fury they are fed.
