Wow! Simply fantastic work there!!!
I can't speak on behalf the Imperial Remnant, but as a person who finds stately affairs and the rule of nations to be primary drive of conflict in the world I like where this is going and if given the chance would be interested in attending what ever roleplay conference this takes place in.
There are plenty of story hooks that can come from this as well!!!
Since this is your lead it will have to be you that reaches out In Character and such.
Again I can't say that the IR will be on board with this and obviously we will be disagreeing on some points. Hell it wouldn't be the first time a 'Republic' faction and an 'Imperial' Faction sat down and worked things out diplomatically.
Its kinda discouraging that most people are not interested in developing the political side of things. Considering how laws and the action of the state are what create the environment people grow up with these value tend to get instilled in people or at least have an impact on their perspective. What I'm getting at is the decisions made by the politicians drastically effect their people. Random ranting!

Sadly it hasn't had any attention in the senate and it doesn't seem like the republic is interested in being humane towards POWs and injured civilians
