Description: The Great Ziggurat of Hurom is a massive structure that dominates the very center of Thule's capital city, Hurom, and has served as a focal center of worship for thousands upon thousands of years. Built to ancient Sith design, the temple features gradually sloping and tiered outer walls reminiscent of the decrepit tombs on Korriban. Four separate spires were later added to the original structure, each tower built at the site of each cardinal direction and connected to the primary structure by large bridges. The interior of the temple itself had been originally built to Sith standards during the height of their power, statues and other idols littered the forums and halls to venerate the Dark Side of the Force and the supremacy of the Sith.

While much of the original decorum had been lost, looted, and destroyed in the thousands of years since its construction there has been a great effort to restore the temple to its former glory in the modern era.

History: Built as a center of Dark Side worship and a place to instruct new neophytes in the ways of the Sith, the temple has changed many hands over the generations and has shifted between being a temple, an administrative bureau, and a royal palace many times. The temple was originally constructed by Sith Lords who had fled Korriban in the wake of the Sith Holocaust perpetrated by the Republic and the Jedi in the aftermath of the Great Hyperspace War, where they established a military oligarchy and lorded over the gloomy populace of Thule from the temple's pinnacle.

Eventually Thule would become a major battleground during the Great Sith War, and the temple would be fortified by the Sith of that era to combat the Jedi Knights who besieged the planet to destroy the Dark Reaper. The Sith would inevitable lose the battle, and the temple was occupied by the Jedi and stripped of its idolatry and refurbished as an administrative center for the local people of Thule to govern themselves according to their own designs. As fate would have it the Sith would return to Thule after many centuries and reclaim its temple and its people for the Empire, but again they would be driven off from the world time and time again.

During the last decade of the Republic Dark Age the planet's population was bolstered by Chiss colonists, and they infused a smattering of their distinct architectural design into the restoration of the Sith Temple. Centuries later the temple would be occupied by the Separatists during the Clone Wars, but after the Battle of Thule they would be driven off and the world would again fall into obscurity.

In more recent times the temple was taken for the personal palace of Karin Dorn, who ruled the entire planet before she was deposed by a young Sith by the name of Kaine Zambrano who styled himself King of Thule and transformed the temple into a lavish palace. But as history showed the Sith would not hold the planet indefinitely, and in the aftermath of the Great War between the Sith Empire and the Grand Republic the Sith once again abandoned the planet, and the temple was reclaimed by the people as a place of worship. And again, true to history, the Sith would return decades later and wrestle control away from the people with Kaine Zambrano once again reclaiming his title as King of Thule.

Intent: Flesh out a canon structure that had been used by other characters on Chaos before
