It doesn't get any more middle of nowhere than the junk wastes of Jakku. Captain Bones of the freighter Unreliable must have taken that into account when he decided to lay low in the middle of a starship graveyard. Some investigation is enough to reveal that a strange new drifter has taken up residence in one of the ancient star destroyer wrecks out in the remote Graveyard of Giants...

So it had begun. A Great Hunt, a tradition dating back to the to some of the first to call themselves Mandolorians'. A test of skill, of honor, or brutality, of cunning. Each hunt was different from the last, but every single one was an experience few warriors would walk away from. When Cero received the call for participants for this particular one, he'd instantly agreed to it. The basis of the competition was of course, bounty hunting. But unlike others, competition was not just encouraged, it was mandatory. Each competitor would have to disable their rival before claiming their target themselves.

Speaking of which, Cero brought up the bounty and his would be opponent. A Corellian smuggler, plying the trade that seemed as ingrained in their culture as the Resol'nar was to his own. Must have bitten on a little more than he could chew on his last shipment, because Jakku could be used as the definition of a backwater world. Only those that wanted to either be forgotten by the galaxy, or thought dead, stayed on the desert world. He didn't appear to be the difficult a catch, but from experience he knew that smugglers often had more than one trick in their sleeves.

His opponent.... wasn't as a easily measured. He seemed to be a veteran and skilled mercenary, with a decent track record as far as it came to bounties, contracts, and agreements. It'd just be wise to keep on guard and treat him as he would any trained soldier or mercenary. That was, no underestimation.

It was easy enough to go off the intel of the locals. Being on the edge of civilization meant you could clearly recognize a new face. Especially if that face rode in a freighter in flyable shape, to a graveyard of starships. As the Ne'tra Tracinya approached the coordinates, Cero activated the decoy and sensor masking system, to maintain an element of surprise. With the ship flying close to the ground, it'd just appear like a landspeeder was coming by, nothing to raise too much alarm, if the man had any kind of sensor array.

He landed close, near what looked to be the hanger of the Star Destroyer, figuring it'd be the best place to conceal a ship, and grant the easiest access to the entire structure. Upon setting down, he engaged the targeting systems, directing it to shoot down anything that came by or out of the star ship.

With his precautions settled, he departed.

Jakku. A miserable little planet covered in sand and people whom Thom had little care or respect for. Scavengers and pirates, criminals hiding from the law they rightly feared, or looking for wealth among the wrecks of ages past. They weren't warriors, they weren't soldiers, and they were most certainly not worth his attention on most days, but however the current situation he found himself in demanded it. A Great Hunt, a Mandalorian tradition lasting far longer than any one man or woman could remember. A hunt to achieve greatness, for oneself and their people. Today, the hunt was not for a great beast, but for a man, and unlike the past this hunt he would be fighting another for the prize.

The smuggler, Booster Bones had fled to Jakku, hiding among his ilk on the world. He was not located, as Thom had suspected in any of the local settlements he investigated. Simple questioning of the locals had pointed him towards where they believed the smuggler might be hiding. Second hand rumors and small talk for the most part, but Thom had used less in the past. What he learned for certain however was that he was not the only one looking for Bones. He knew he would be up against another, but from what the locals said, Thom would be up against another Mandalorian. A troubling prospect, but one he would deal with when the time came.

Now, Thom stepped out of the ship he had brought along for the mission, a Gra'tua model. It did not have the most space for passengers, but Thom was certain he would be able to make it work. Thom slung his rifle across his back as he began to walk towards the hangar of the Star Destroyer, glancing at it briefly before walking towards the large hangar. Others, in this competitive situation would have taken the chance to destroy their opponents transportation. If he was against anyone else, Thom might have actually done it, but he was fighting a fellow Mandalorian. Their fight would be decided one on one, and the winner would get to leave with the prize. Thom would not rob his foe of their transportation, and potentially their livelihood.

Unholstering one of the pistols at his side, Thom ducked his head under a hanging panel, and entered the Star Destroyer.

The trek to the hanger involved navigating a path through the graveyard, which was populated by both entire and partial wrecks of starships, in varying levels of disassembly. It was quiet, besides the occasional sound of the wind blowing through the scrap, knocking loose small parts, and the skittering of desert creatures through the gaps. His hand rested on the grip of his RSKF-44, ready to be pulled and fired at a moments notice.

The hanger itself was lodged partially into the sands of Jakku, his guess being that when they scuttled the vessel it was simply left to drift and crash from orbit, slowly allowing time and weather to consume and erode it as most of it's valuable components were scavenged. It still seemed large enough for a ship to come into and depart, from his point view. Upon entering, his HUD would brighten to it's low-light settings, as the other half of the ship was buried beneath the sands, only allowing light from the entrance into it.

He paused, and flipped down his rangfinder, magnifying his view and overlaying it. In the far distance, it was able to make out a distinct figure within the hanger, standing out from the wrecked TIE's and other starfighters that littered the inside like carcasses. "Bingo." He said. His infrared showed no heat signatures around, meaning that although he'd found the freighter, he may not have found the owner. "Might as well see what's on it." Cero flipped up his rangefinder, and approached the Unreliable.
