The Gravest Danger is in Plain Sight

lw4q0pol.jpg

Location: Solar Gardens, Nubia

Presently, border security was one of Cath Lorr’s main concerns as the new Home Secretary of the Republic, although at times, the role was so nascent that when someone called her Madame Secretary, she would nearly look behind her, forgetting for a moment that the title was now hers.

She’d already had breakfast with the mayor of Nuba City, and the Eldorai hybrid was just moments away from a speech in the Solar Gardens next to the Nubian Palace. Padawan Lorr would have preferred a less stately locale, offering to speak at Tallera Downs, or even at a large Ronto farm where she could be more among the everyday Nubians. But still, the Solar Gardens was a source of pride for these one-time human colonists. Even if the lavish and ostentatious palace loomed nearby.

Adrenaline spiked in her body momentarily but washed away when she began to speak into the microphone. Holo cameras were positioned in front of her blocking most of her view of the crowd who’d gathered to watch.

“Gentlebeings of Nubia,” started Cath. “As the acting Home Secretary of the Republic, I have been impressed by your fortitude and graciousness during my short time here. Which is why Nubia needs to be protected from constant threats from the north. Likewise a new Sith organization has emerged on the Republic’s eastern side, dangerously close to Yutan, our capital. During my meeting with Mayor Rotem this morning, we discussed at length the need for more security at our borders…”

Meanwhile as Cath continued speaking, a Nubian tourist drew close to her podium, wielding yet another holocamera but to a more trained eye, the camera was really a Stingbeam.

Nubia was new place, relatively new but on the radar now and buzzing in ever conceivable holonews outlet as a rising power in desperate need for an army to make up for it's booming economy and resources. Mythos, Animus, Lord of Atrisia, Fallen Emperor was now a freelancer, a warrior without a true cause searching for his own piece in the galaxy that did not belong to any faction, he was raising an army along with the loyal Jar'Kai at his back that always were never too far. The solar gardens... he had heard of them as emperor of Atrisia, now he walked through them with military hardware in his chest and back, weapons and a high tech bow as well as his lightsabers adorned beneath the cloak. Usually he packed more than just his rudis, bow, blaster and lightsabers but he was traveling light and stealthy, he did not stand out and he had made it just in time to catch the famed home secretary of the republic... as a former Sith Lord... his face would be recognized instantly so he kept a low profile...

Still, curiosity and the desire to take a closer look overtook his better judgment as he got behind the secretaries podium as the cameras made it impossible to get near. Every step he took shoving through the crowds brought him closer to the secretary. He had heard she was so beautiful that her mere appearance could dumbfound most men... for once... gossips were right. As she spoke Mythos was shocked at her beauty, it was unlike anything he had seen, he had never seen an Eldorai other than in the holonet. Shaking his head and chucking to himself he pushed forward until he met the wall of security, by the looks of them... not very well armed... 'not very well armed at all' Mythos thought.

That threw up a red flag, instantly, when dealing such a massive crowd and such an important V.I.P. security was never this light. He narrowed his eyes as she kept speaking, he eyed every man woman and child, droid or organic in the crowed yet he found nothing amiss. Reaching into his earpeice Mythos contacted the Captain of the JarKai currently in a high position with a three hundred and sixty degree vantage point of the entire gardens.

"Birds' eye, this is specter, is anything amiss?"

Lee, his captain, upon receiving the communication pursed his lips. This wasn't supposed to be a military op, just recon so this command was also throwing a red flag on the observation team. "Gimmie ten" Lee communicated to Mythos, lingo for giving him ten seconds to respond before he took any actions. Lee switches his coms to team speak, and communicated to the more than one hundred Kai in the area on their ear coms. "Specter wants report"

They scanned, some of their hands instinctive went to their weapons sides but nothing more. When none of them reported back Lee contacted Mythos... 9 seconds. "We got nothing in sector"

That's when Mythos saw it, the glimmering hint of shining plasma inside of one of the cameras aiming directly at the secretary. Split second to act. Mythos dug his boot into the back of the knee of the nearest security guard and in the same movement pulled his blaster from his belt a placed it on the mans shoulder as he went down. One Shot to save her life. Screams, the shock of movement and weapons rattle the crowd, Mythos had about two seconds before the remaining security converged on him. Breathe in... fire.

The green blast left his blaster nanoseconds before the stingbeam shot, the impact caused the blast to narrowly divert it's trajectory... His act of heroism... could be his first ticket into republic prison. Luckily his face was covered. Now, the security would jump on him in which case, the Jar'Kai had every single one of them, out gunned and in sights, lightsabers and force powers ready to be unleashed and create devastation, only if Mythos gave the command. Quiet professionals... they made no move.

It was true that Cath didn’t travel with much security at all. A mixture of naivety and hubris, she supposed she needed to own up to. Still, how are the beings of the galaxy supposed to feel safe if they see their public officials, armed to the teeth and flanked by dozens of bodyguards?

She had one Republic soldier for detail, and under the hot sun in the Solar Gardens, she’d excused him to go get some refreshments. There were also Nubian security guards on the premises, but they were more or less there as crowd control.

Suddenly the Eldorai hybrid heard a blaster shot so close to her that she jumped back quickly, her reverse lunge enhanced by Force Speed. Making sure she hadn’t been pierced by a bolt, Cath crouched behind the podium now as the real holocamera men and women scattered along with the screaming crowd. One or two of them kept filming, and while the Padawan hated the thought of them risking their lives, at least she could review the footage later to find out what exactly happened.

Spying the Nubian guards atop of two men, the situation under some semblance of control, she emerged from her hiding place, while Mayor Rotem came barreling up, saying, “Madame Secretary it’s not safe to come out yet.”

“But I need to know what happened! And I want to help if there are wounded civilians. Who’s that on the ground?” she asked, pointing to Mythos. “Was he the shooter?”

“Right now we still have a live situation, but my security detail tell me that he actually prevented you from being shot.”

“Then we must let him up!” Cath protested, striding quickly over to the pile of Nubian security who had the stranger on the ground. Soldiers and guards milled around the Eldorai, and though the throng of protection was quite claustrophobic, she realized this would be her new normal. The Mayor began speaking, but the padawan stopped him with her hand in the air. She was no political wallflower after all.

“Let him speak,” she commanded the guards. “You, sir, did that man over there really try to kill me?”

Chaos... What else could be expected after shooting a blaster in the middle of this crowd, as expected he was quickly detained, sorrounded and the nubian guard he had used as a firing stand now rose and held him at blaster point. Cameras... the worst possible thing, he held his face down to prevent them catching any glimpse of his face or anything that might reveal his identity to the masses through the mass media. 'You just had to be a hero this time didn't you Animus?'. As always, the weakness of being the knight in shining armor to a beautiful maiden was his downfall... or could be, before long the Eldorai noble approached him, by the look of her moves Mythos deduced her to be a Jedi, or a force user at the very least. That made things no less complicated than they were...

"My Lord, we have them in sights, the men are ready to move in at your order."

"Negative Birds' nest, keep close but do nothing" Mythos whispered in his ear before the padawan approached him and asked him if it was true than what Mythos had done was save her life. He did not raise his face, only slightly glance upwards without making any sudden movements. He was on the ground at first, his blaster was gone and luckily the guards did not fumble around to find his lightsaber or other weapons... Lucky...

When he got up he was met with the face of the secretary, facing away from the cameras. Normally he would have spoken immediately but he stammered and choked, he never thought he would have gotten to speak or so close to the secretary. Brave enough to charge into battle, shoot down an assassin but when it came down to talking to the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, he choked. Swallowing hard and giving a faint grin he mustered up his courage.

"Aye my lady... Stingbeam, i recognized it just in time and made the call... my years as a soldier come in handy for saving a life for once instead of taking it" He ended with a smile and a calm tone reserved more for a dinner than an assassination attempt. Fully expected now to be arrested, detained, questioned and then taken to republic prison for his crimes in Chazwa. If it came to that... he had a contingency plan. Chaos....it was everywhere in the garden and the killer was right now either running, or slipping into the crowd. Wherever he was, he had a Kar agent a feet feet behind.

“You’re a soldier,” said Cath. “For the Republic? Or another organization? And in either case, what are you doing on Nubia? Are you stationed here?”

The Eldorai official had so many questions, but before the quick-thinking military man could answer them, the Nubian Mayor whispered in her ear as she peered down from the vantage point above him: “Look how he hides his face from the cameras. Perhaps he’s a wanted man?” Cath’s brow wrinkled, although the ritual scarification on her forehead, a symbol of the Bardottan aristocracy, would hide any furrows.

“He saved my life and yours, Mayor,” she said in a louder voice, not trying to hide her decisive tone under the hush of whispers. “I, for one, am grateful." The Mayor nodded and also gazed down upon the soldier, but with a haughtier look and said, “Do you seek amnesty for your actions?”

Well, he was certainly jumping to conclusions, thought Cath, but she was also curious to hear the man’s answers as he was, in fact, hiding his face from the many holocameras which were now trained on the scene as the attempted assassination was more than newsworthy.

[member="Mythos"]

"We have got them in sights my-"
"Just get those cameras off me for a few seconds"

Mythos had trouble speaking into his earcom without being noticed, he spoke through his teeth in atrisian as to not alert anyone around him in basic as to his machinations. His men approached behind the flashing beams of the cameras and began overloading their wrist communicators frequency to a point where it would disturb any systems of communications for a mile long radius, it would however not last long at all. When Mythos noticed the annoying static on his ear he brought his posture back upright and feigned a back pain with his body language. He stood and looked right at the mayor, a man of about his size and looked at him with a puzzled expression. "Amnesty? For saving the secretary? I suppose so" He finished with a smile then turned to the secretary, an action that changed his body language from confident soldier, back to handing romanira flowers in Naboo...

"My lady, that information if very sensitive, if any of it were to reach outside influence both me and my mens mission would be put in grave danger, we are here to help as best we can but military actions and details are best kept behind closed doors, not in front of the media..."

He narrowed his eyes, he thought again of how to best escape this situation without making a galactic scene... he needed a scapegoat and it would come in the form of an assassin that he just halted. "My lady, every second we waste here is a moment the one who tried to kill you has to escape, please..." He met her eyes, for the first time, the imposing confidence of nobles... and the beauty of this one in particular. "Time is of the essence, allow us to act"

Although Cath didn’t know the trick that Mythos had performed to disable the cameras, she’d most likely be impressed by it. Some of the surrounding journalists began to complain that their holocams weren’t working but by this time Security and most of the Nubian dignitaries were completely ignoring the news outlets. Later perhaps they wished they hadn’t when they needed to review any of the footage, but for now, the Nubian security team began moving the press back and putting up caution tape around the scene.

“Is your assignment connected in any way to this assassination attempt?” asked Cath. “If not, as Home Secretary, I would like to be briefed on these kind of covert assignments ahead of time.” She made a mental note to meet with G.R.I.M. later on this matter, but for now, she would agree with the handsome and quite regal soldier. A fleeting thought occurred to her that he may be royalty of some kind if only for her own noble upbringing. The telltale signs were all there – the cadence in his voice, his speech patterns and accent, the way he carried himself, all spoke to a highborn childhood.

“I agree about the threat, but I don’t know that I can make that directive without checking with the Nubian officials,” she admitted. “I don’t know the laws between Nubia and the Republic in matters such as…”

“Forgive me to interrupting you, Madame Lorr, but you are the Home Secretary of the Republic. Your authority trumps that of our own Home Secretary and perhaps even the Nubian Army General."

Her face flushing briefly at her naivety over even her own post, she said, “Very well then. Continue on with your actions as long as it puts no citizens or Nubian guards in harm’s way." Cath still didn't know the man's name, but she knew there would be time to collect that information later, provided he would let her repay him in a small way even, perhaps over dinner or drinks.

Mythos pursed his lips as the thought of any connection between is men and this assassination attempt. He had no idea of any such intentions, he was in Nubia in search of one thing, able bodies men who would join his crusade of shadow warfare and information about the fall of the republic, any details of prominent figures within republic hierarchy that would make his job and the jobs of his men easier. Knowledge made war almost childsplay...

"My lady, i swear to you we had nothing to do with this... if you would retreat back and set up a a meeting we will be there within the hour to brief you and your team about our mission, goal and findings." Mythos gave her a bow of respect, natural and cultural of Naboo and to those who knew of their culture it would be obvious that Mythos was Nabooian of birth.

He turned heel and vanished into the crowd flanked by two Nubian guards to his right and to his left that kept watch on him, the static gone from his ear gave Mythos the sign of contacting his men. "I want him alive, he is our ticket" He said in Atrisia, in ear shot of the Nubian guards... he only hoped they did not speak Atrisia.

"As you wish My lord" Lee responded. All men behind the running shadow of the assassin, a man they never let out of their sights switched to non-lethal weapons and heavy tranquilizer darts either in guns or in bows. It was not long before the man had so many needles in his body he would be presumed dead of overdose... yet he wasn't of course... his men had been trained better than that."Target is down..."

"Tag em and bag em"

Mythos lead the Nubian guards to the position, the sight of a Nubian in the grassy floor and not a Jar'Kai in sight... it was their way, they were best when out of sight and unrecognizable. "We escort the guards back to the meeting point...good job" There was an almost palpable relief in the coms after those words. Another mission accomplished without a single loss of life.

Cath pressed her lips tightly together as she listened, and with her silvery irises assessed the soldier for signs that he was lying – body language or fidgeting maybe – but she could not detect anything. The Padawan wasn’t one to go probing into the mind of others, so she would have to take him on his word.

Turning to the Nubian Guards she said, “Do as he says. Let him go and finish his mission."

Even though the Mayor had indicated otherwise, Cath felt that she was not in any position of authority on Nubia to detain the warrior. The fact that he had Nabooian royal traits made her feel slightly more encouraged that he was, indeed, someone who was on the side of the good and peaceful of the galaxy.

“I have a suite in the Nubian Palace resort. Meet me there after you’re done with your men,” she said, giving him a slight curtsy that would place her as someone with noble blood as well. “There’s a balcony with a lovely view of the waterfront, and we can have an early dinner or a stimcaf."

Truth be told, Cath was rattled by the entire assassination attempt and wanted to relax in the seclusion of her room for a bit. Perhaps unwind and meditate to shake off of the stress of the day.

The Nubian Palace resort... Another highly protected, high risk, extreme security, impregnable office in which infiltration and arrival without invitation would be near impossible without an insurmountable amount of effort and training. Mythos had the assassin given to Nubian Authorities for interrogation and as he was thinking of accepting the invitation of the secretary he remembered the amount of cameras, peronell of the republic and possible jedi in the area... entering through the front door and the "Normal" way was out of the question. He would meet the secretary... but only the secretary. Mythos smiled as he arrived outside the compound of the Nubian Palace resort, alone, his men given the day off to enjoy the Nubian Solar Gardens and to have a nice weekend that special operation forces well deserved after months of training and a brutal regiment of military combat, tactics and operation classes and scenarios. They deserved their off time. Mythos however, dusted off his old sith assassin armor and tools of infiltration along with an assortment of propellers, gas powered hook liners and the works... Also, one bag of clothes fit for a formal meeting compacted into his back bag.

Just like old times.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAYhNHhxN0A

Mythos saw the outside of the compound through his high tech powered monocular and the device sent the data straight into his wrist device to give him a reading of patrols, security numbers, cameras, devices and civilians in the area. The fence outside the compound was also protected by concealed sniper towers disused as regular architecture. He scouted, after a few hours of compiling the necessary information Mythos activated his Scout Drone, to relay geographical and architectural data back into his wrist com while Mythos... went through the fence with a swipe of his black core lightsaber, good thing about such a blade was it was very hard to detect and his speed allowed him to move through very well. He timed it perfectly, civilian hover vehicle crossed his path and the silhouette of the fallen king Mythos vanished behind it only to reappear several yards away behind a crowd of civilians and ambassadors from all over republic space. To not sick out like a soar thumb, Mythos kept to the shadows and darkness in the corners of the compound... it was not easy but his armor helped quite a bit.

The information he sought was to be found in the main security office, he needed to find that office first...

Every second his drone was out flying it relayed more data into his wristcom and suddenly he was getting a lot more data than the human eye could process. The drone was flying in-doors and scanning the inside of the palace, the drone was so small it could fit into the palm of his hand yet it was so advanced that it could scan a big room almost instantly. Mythos, by the time the droid was sending it's data was already half way up a wall with the cloak of the armor making him look like a blot of blurry paint to the trained eye. In his hands and boots, small microscopic adhesive sensors made his climb easier than the one back almost half a decade ago in Sarvchi. Mythos climbed for what seemed at eternity until his wrist com activated his one eyed visor that slipped on and showed him areas of high priority according to the profiling system of the scout drone and the S.O.R.I. combat systems. Made by Warforged.

Twenty yards to his six o clock, a high concentration of electrical energy, bigger than anything in the compound save for the energy generators used to keep the lights on and an unusually high amount of electronic hardware detected. "That must be the nest beebee, thanks" The drone came flying like a bullet and stored itself safely into his arm, integrating itself into the combat System wrist-com, becoming one with the device again and uploading everything it had scouted into the system.

From where Mythos was "Hanging", the room in question was a far, impossible jump and from where he "stood", the only way in or close to was through a single line corridor that he could not get to because there was no access to it from the outside save for a single one way elevator from the bottom that no doubt needed an access card to utilize and an ID card to enter. Mythos smiled to himself, tight security... a challenge.

He turned, placing his back to the wall and making quite the effort not to look down to the more than one hundred feet fall to the well decorated lobby below. From his leg Mythos detached a rifle, a weapon modified with gas powered, specially designed harpoons with a songsteel coated tip to reduce vibrations upon impact. It was compact, once in his hands, Mythos pulled on it and it became a long weapon system that hooked to the duracrete behind him for leverage while locking on using the weapon system in his person, aligning the ballistics and trajectory to the security room. Two clicks, the harpoon went flying, hooked on a transparent metallic chord behind it and a made zipline almost a full quarter kilometer long.

Don't look down...

Mythos hooked himself on the zipline, activated the compressed gas on the weapon and blasted himself at almost one hundred miles per hour instantly through the ceiling while the cloak of the armor concealed his flight. He platted on the room with a subtle *plop* that made the Nubians outside the room raise a proverbial eyebrow, yet, to his luck, they did not look too deep into the matter after checking a few camera feeds and seeing nothing unusual expect a strange movement sensor anomaly they deduced to be a malfunction, since there was clearly nothing there... Meanwhile, Mythos was splatted like a Nabooian butterfly outside their window.

The chord snapped back as soon as Mythos had a solid grip, once the entire chord was back into the weapon system it closed up and compacted back into itself looking like a decoration. Mythos on the other side, pulled his lightsaber and cut into the delicate metal fabric of the outside of the security room, inside of the bathroom of the room, not before using his scanners to make sure there was no one there. Once he made a big enough hole he slid in and put the cut up hole, back where it was.. steaming with burnt up metal... but less alarming than a gaping hole.. Now he had to move fast, the light of cut up metal could have alerted the guards inside the room of his presence.

Inside the bathroom Mythos pulled a very particular pistol, not a blaster, a tranquilizer gun fulled with enough neurotoxins to take down an adult Tuk'ata with a single dart and this pistol was equipped with an entire clip of the darts. Making sure he had everything packed, ready and well adjusted Mythos opened the door of the bathroom, pistol close to his chest and as the guards turned around he placed a single dart into their chest.

Plop, plop, plop. Three heaps of Nubian flesh. Dragged off and Stuffed inside the bathroom. The countdown before someone noticed these guys were gone had just begun, Mythos set the timer to seven minutes, that was the allotted time were the patrol would return, notice these guys gone and open the bathroom then smash the alarm button.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9FzgsF2T-s

Mythos opened the security system computer, scanned for V.I.P. rooms and noticed that to his suspicion the room of the secretary was not as it normally was, the highest in the building, however it was pretty high up. Not being careless... he wiped the footage of him in the room and anywhere else in the facility and placed it inside a chip, which he then destroyed with the lightsaber.... no traces.

With that information and the details of the compound uploaded to his wrist com Mythos took the uniform of one of the guards and slipped into it, placing his SA armor in his bag that he,in turn, placed inside a Nubian security duffer bag with the official Nubian security team seal on it. With all that.. he opened the door of the security room and looked both ways before entering the elevator using the key card he swiped from the guards. Confident no one was watching the cameras but not dumb enough to look directly at them, he placed the number of the nineteenth floor and checked the timer. Three minutes stat.

Now... the secretary was not in the nineteenth floor, she was in the floor below which no doubt was crawling with so much security Mythos could could throw a rock in any general direction and hit a blaster. No, he needed to drop into the balcony, directly from above. The elevator door opened. Show time.

Mythos walked through the teams of security and Nubian civilians in the corridor from the bottom of the security cap and turned right twenty feet into the corridor, room four zero eight, swiped his security card and the pressurized door opened without hesitation or alarm. Inside, a couple, figures... Mythos smiled and pulled the dart gun. The shocking expression in their eyes was quickly gone once they were hit with two darts each, for a long nap. Inside the beautiful room Mythos pulled the suit for formal meetings out of his bag, settled in with fancy shoes, a perfume, plucked a romanira flower from the inside of the case, placed it inside the handkerchief pocked and stepped out to the balcony.

The view... was breathtaking, the wind strong at this altitude and the fall to the balcony below angled slightly to the right and about twenty feet down. The railings were a bit high and his shoes definitely not for this sort of high risk maneuvers, but... he was trained enough to be confident with the two step jump. He stepped back, ran for some momentum and leaped to the railings, then leaped again with all his might, sailing through twenty feet of air before landing on the balcony of the Secretary.

It didn't even mess up his suit, of the weapons in his belt. He straightened himself, turned to face the window and admired the figure who approached. "Good evening my lady, i apologize for the unorthodox entry."

[member="Cath Lorr"]

“Was there a reason for the subterfuge?” asked Cath, the full-length, clari-crystalline balcony door hissing closed behind her. The House Secretary took one look back over her shoulder at the Nubian police in her room and gave them the signal to stand down.
Unlike earlier, a threat to her life had, as Mythos suspected, quadrupled the security around her perimeter including her room itself. While the guards had excused themselves when she wanted to shower and change for dinner, Cath surely hoped they weren’t going to remain in the room when she went to sleep that night.

The Nubian breeze blew through her long, dark, silver-stranded hair. She wore an earthen shaded gown with a brocaded sleeves and bodice, more befitting of a princess than a politician.

gEKzaFGl.jpg

“Please sit and make yourself comfortable,” she said in a soft and welcoming voice, one that could convince a less reliable dictator to lay down his arms against an oppressed vassal. Cath’s hand motioned to a round table with an array of farm-to-table Nubian delicacies, fresh meats, fruit and cheeses. “I realized that I don’t even know your name. Not that I couldn’t get it from my team who by this time has scanned your identity through the G.R.I.M. databases. But I’d rather hear your story for myself.”

The Eldorai stateswoman took a seat at the table and poured herbal tea, though there was wine and ale on the table if the charming assassin wanted to partake.

Her demeanor was calm. If he wanted to kill her, he would have done so already.

[member="Mythos"]

Mythos bowed and smiled pleasantly, a slight chuckle escaped his lips at the mention of of his little escapade but that smile quickly faded when she mentioned that his face was scanned through a database he knew little to nothing of. As the King of a planet his face was known through the galaxy as a Sith Lord and presumed dead to add to it, if a team of the republic had now confirmation of his survival and identity... it would be a situation he would have remedy... swiftly and violently if necessary unless there was a consensus of heavy implication on both sides. It would appear to Animus that it was time to come clean.

"I'd rather keep away from the public eye my lady, my identity and location are the line of survival for my family, loved ones and men." He began while sitting down, his face serious and his tone sharp and professional. She was beautiful to his eyes, the most beautiful he had ever seen in what seemed eons but contrary to what his infatuation would have Mythos think, she held him now and could destroy his plans with what she had alone.

"My name is Animus Malgus, also known in before my presumed death..." He paused while he reached into his belt never breaking eye contact and placed both his lightsabers on the table before her, songsteel made, a material precious beyond anything in the galaxy. His eyes showed no threat, no menace but a seeking of understanding.... he did not know her... but he took a leap of faith based on pure infatuation and sought to charm her, his weakness was beautiful women after all.

"Sith Lord Mythos of the One Sith, Warrior King of Atrisia"

His pride was never gone... but now came a bit more difficult part to play here. He needed to explain, he was not a Sith anymore.

"I fought countless battles, one of these was Lujo where faced the matrimony of Jedi masters, Thurion and Coci heavenshield." He smiled thinking of the battle, truly, his greatest moment and also his fall from power. "In that battle, deep in the bowls of Lujo's sith spawn prison cells, i was defeated but" his smile faded away with nostalgia and his eyes drifted as he took some herbal tea and sipped it peacefully. "Because of my honor my lady, and you can ask master Thurion yourself if you ever get the chance... i was spared, he took my power over the force, power i use to kill thousands and pay waste to cities."

Mythos sat back, blew on the hot tea and peacefully sat there with a beautiful woman while his men enjoyed the day. Peace was not so bad when he gave it a chance but it never lasted with Mythos, it never once did. "Now you know my story... what is yours if i may be so bold... and may i say, i have traveled the galaxy, i have been to Korriban and Mustafar and every place in between yet i have never seen a beauty such as you" He said, while he gave her a slight smile from behind the steam of the tea.

[member="Cath Lorr"]

"Of course you would… if you are a murderer," said Cath. The Eldorai remained on the balcony, her hand on the wrought iron railing, as though that would protect her from the charisma of the man before her.

Now she knew that he was a Sith Lord, her earlier suspicions confirmed.

"I do not accept anything but peace, Animus," the stateswoman said. "I hope you know that."

"You are a Sith and you saved me," Cath continued. "Why is that? Why didn't you just kill me?"

She would not eat or drink anything until he answered her.

[member="Mythos"]

Mythos shrugged, a good question... one he was begining to understand and accept for himself. "I have a weakness for good and beautiful women i guess, I saved you because i wished to impress you " He chuckled while taking another sip of the tea but never parting his eyes from her through the other side of the tea cup. With an exhale he put down the cup, and smiled at her while taking from his pocket the romanira flower, a rose traditionally of Naboo, given to the lady a man or boy was interested in emotionally. He put it on his wrist for his little beebee drone to take to her from where he sat.

"As an acolyte of the One Sith i often said to myself, What good are all my powers if i cannot impress the girl i like?, of all the things of my youth and brashness that is a simple joy of life, i wont give up so easily... i may get me killed one day..."

He sat in contemplation, he thought for himself what it meant to be a man now, a good man what he wanted to be... what he promised Thurion he would be, he owed that man his life, he made him a promise... he would be a good father, take care of his family... was he doing that now? ... no... we wasn't.
"I am a murderer... i killed thousands, hundreds of thousands... " He said, with no attempt of hiding his worry. Worry, not guilt, confusion, existential crisis but not guilt. He knew only one thing for certain... peace was a lie, a beautiful one at that. "It is that past that gave me the power and experience to save your life... I'll do it a thousand times more but you have to trust me... Can you do that? Can you trust someone who has a past like mine?"
