SETTING INFORMATION
  • Astronomical Location Name: The Golden Veil
  • Classification: Nebula
  • Location: Center of the M-12 Hex
  • Rotational Period: N/A
  • Orbital Period: N/A
  • Size: Small
  • Affiliation: The Second Triumvirate
  • Population: Sparsely Populated
  • Demographics: Mynocks | Exogorth | Neebray Mantas
  • Accessibility: The Golden Veil is a relatively easy location to access as far as the Unknown Regions are concerned, offering only minor interference to the functions of sensors and navigation though not to a major degree. The wildlife of the Nebula occasionally proves problematic for the reckless or unaware captain.
  • Description: The Golden Veil is a small red-golden colored Nebula encompassing a handful of star systems, most notably the Ferentis System which houses the world of Confracta. Similar to many Nebulae, the Golden Veil is home to a varying degree of wildlife, but uniquely this Wildlife is imported.
POINTS OF INTEREST
  • Ferentis System: Home of the Second Triumvirate & the planet Confracta.
  • Intdenta Cloud: A large collection of asteroids and other space-borne debris.
  • Jassakon Pulsar: A pulsar used as a navigational landmark by Triumvirate ships.
  • Triumvirate Interstellar Nature Preserve: A zoo in space, intended to shamelessly attract tourism.
  • Twirling and swirling: The Golden Veil is home to many natural typhoon like structures of interstellar gasses.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
-Nebula are hardly the most interesting things in the Galaxy, often regulated to be little more than obstacles and in complete truth, the Golden Veil is no different - at least they're always pretty. Not to be out-done, the Veil does possess some hazards of her own, firstly the interstellar gasses interfere with sensors and navigational technology, secondly, the Intedenta Asteroid cloud lies on the main direct approach lane, which can be problematic for those unprepared. Once a stellar nursery, the Golden Veil has dwindled into a micro-nebula over the millennia, now she is home to but a small handful of star systems and more prominent anomalies occasionally dotted with starship debris and wildlife. In contemporary galactic history, the Golden veil is less important than some and more interesting than others. Renown for her beauty, the Veil itself is comprised of clouds of red-golden colored gasses that often form into swirling corridor structures, with several areas forming these in perpetuity, now home to many Neebray Mantas (which were purposefully imported by the Labyrinthian), and recently declared a nature preserve. The edge of the Nebula is marked by a pulsar, whos jets of magnetic energy have carved an hourglass-shaped hole through the rest of the Nebula and now serves as a critically important navigational beacon, primarily for those species lacking specialized navigational systems for the hazards of the Unknown Regions, and has allowed historically for the people of Confracta to boast a proud mercantilist history. The Veil itself has had very little historical impact outside of being host to a Starfaring civilization, and thus several space battles, skirmishes, and other such incidents. First contact between the Second Triumvirate and the rest of the galaxy brought with it, finally, an enterprising young Twi'lek who purposefully spread Mynocks to the Nebula, then swiftly opened a pest control business, steps have been taken by the Ferentis Defense Fleet to remove the Mynocks with little to no success, critics have dubbed it "The Mynock War" and mock the military for such undertakings.
