Wargames

A single star destroyer emerged from hyperspace at Donadus, it was a small relatively insignificant planet by galactic standards, it had a sordid history with piracy and a relatively small population. Still their fledgling navy was being formed and they had reached out to The Directorate as well as other factions to supervise their wargames and at the same time assist with security. Razanil walked onto the bridge with a datapad in his hand before he handed it off to his second in command. He looked out the window at the small fleet, it was humble beginnings much like The Directorate for the moment. He turned his eyes to the small space station where they would be observing from and then turned to to address, he who would command in his absence.
“Any approaching ship is to be allowed access unless our hosts object, in which case you are free to deal with at your discretion. Remember we are guests here follow their rules”
With that he turned and left the bridge making his way to the hangar, it took only a few minutes before a small shuttle took off and approached the station, transmitting its codes before it was allowed to land aboard the station. One of the locals had arrived to greet him as he disembarked the shuttle.
“Admiral, welcome to Donadus” the being extended a hand to him, Razanil reached out and accepted the gesture. “Thank you for the invitation, I would very much like to see what your forces are capable of and how we may assist in your endeavors to defeat the piracy in your system” not everything had to be decided on a battlefield at times a simple dialogue would be enough to sway allegiances, something not everyone understood, however Razanil did. “Tell me more of your people. To be frank, I have not much of you before we received the invitation.” The alien began to prattle on and he listened, knowledge was never a bad thing one should always make informed decisions and know who they are dealing with, in truth he knew more than he let on but hearing things first hand was always much more practical also it was easy to see the ones who liked to talk.
