The Future of the One Sith

We should fight some ancient power or some crap and take it for ourselves. Like big ole' warriors with giant meele weapons and ornate armor and force magics. I've been playing Dark Souls a lot, having a story sorta based off that might be sorta fun. Hell if we made it so you could die in the thread but it not be permanent maybe we could show people you can still have fun while taking hits. Just a random thought.

Well I've been toying with an idea for an entire hive of Sith spawn with different roles and abilities within the hive. Could use those to do something like that, since there are some leviathans and big guys in the line up of it. Heck we might even get a few knights and acolytes together and make it a sort of Dark souls esqe dungeon run?

This is not Youtube. This is a faction on a Role play site that generates $0 income and hold no form of power OOC or IC. No faction does.

Fun fact: The Sith Empire on this Site fell into minor and guess what? They came back stronger than ever as One Sith. My only suggestion is that if you go minor. Dont do it suddenly and out of know where. Make a story from it.

But odds 100% against my suggestion and OS will not go my route out of your own choice. [member="Jack Mirrikh"]

I know this isn't Youtube. My example is a metaphor that strongly applies. If we go minor, we lose a spot on the Major Faction listing and get lost in the torrential sea that is the enormous Minor Faction listing. That means no publicity, which means little to no fresh faces to liven up the faction.

We can make a great story and still be major. The Sith Empire fell due to a lot more than someone asking "What should we do next?"

We've made far too much technology, ships and progress just to throw it away by going minor. First off, we lose capital ship privileges, since the loss of all our planets will destroy our income. Have you seen the thread for all of the Sith who own a planet in One Sith territory? You can kiss that all goodbye when someone simply doms the planet. I am very confident that everyone who owns a planet in that thread is going to be against going minor.

I can't see any legitimate merit to going minor.

The purpose of this thread was to ask the community what they want to do to move forward from here. Your suggestion is only for something that let's us wrap it all up and go out with a bang.

More stories, more analysis of each individual character's psychology. Seeing a Sith as a powerhouse that only strives to show off is very droll and can only be interesting for so long. Why not put your character under the microscope? There's no reason why characters should be merely black and white, the word "evil" doesn't have to associated in the same limelight.

Pretty much what I'm saying is that I personally find characters who act more out of self rather than stereotype more interesting. What would be your truest intention?

Sorry, just felt like saying something. :D

If you want to call a completely different faction lead and started by completely different people the same faction.

Not even remotely true. These planets have been there and owned by both the Galactic Republic and the One Sith, and those that were led by PCs prior to the OS being there have maintained the same leaders prior to them existing as a major or minor faction. (Such as Kuat and Hapes Consortium)

Unless that ruler is a bleeding-heart Sith or loyalist to the One Sith through-and-through, I think the next major faction will care less as long as you role-play with them. (Unless they're selectivists or socialists, or communists I guess. Then you better start packing your bags.)

Not all of those rulers are Sith, either. Such as this character.

I'm sure any Sith lords that control planets as their warlord/dictator would probably be looked towards as a target to be removed, sure.

But I don't think worlds led by local political or royal leaders will be in any real danger of being removed unless the faction taking over is totally against planetary rulers (most of them aren't).

That being said, I don't agree with the idea that going minor is going to give the OS a better chance of springing back to how it was over a year ago. And, honestly, I'd prefer if the faction went out the natural way than just being requested off the map by the faction for the sake of trying to start over again.

No point going minor for the sake of going minor. Doesn't make much sense.

Losing grip on all those worlds at once makes no sense IC, and OOC a lot of blobs disappear because of losing steam, better to stick with a faction through the ups and downs, builds your character and the faction as a whole with some character, gives everyone a good story.

TL;DR
I am with [member="Lily Kuhn"] more than 100%

Totally, man. In the ups, it's a party. In the downs, key writers are going to be able to prove themselves to the faction and gain notoriety, ushering in the new era of writers we look up to.
