The Future is Unclear

Nar Shaddaa:
Streets of Taigo Entertainment District

Wondering worlds had become a habit for the warrior. While her 'famil' preached and searched for allies, she walked the streets, exploring her environments. Out of all the planets she had visited this was one of the more interesting ones. Though the many drunken fools were a tad... irritating. Everything else made up for it. Sprawling walkways, massive casinos, and a variety of one-of-a-kind shops. Unsurprisingly, there were a lot of people looking for someone to spend the night with, and Dawn had already been stopped eight times. Her lack of interest in romance of any kind slowly pushed them away. Despite that, she had been forced to break a man's nose to get him to leave her alone.

As she walked something caught her eye. A few people were gathering around something, talking in excited voices. Curious, she started to approach, making sure to pay attention to others around her. It would not be fun to have her wallet stolen. With each step her armor clinked quietly, rustling against the fabric of her black cloak. She stood out compared to everyone else, and had several people watching her warily. Nothing she wasn't used to, of course.

Seeing is believing, but one must see first.
The crowd was gathered as a woman dressed in dark clothing, a hood covering her eyes, had placed her hands over that of a rodian who seemed desperate for an answer. Finally, after being silent for a moment, she finally said "What you may see as a path to fortune could lead to destruction. And what you think humiliation may be first step towards recognition. The paths are laid for you, not you must decide which to chose." The rodian, a bit satisfied with the answer, nodded before paying his credit to her and getting up. Next was a wookie of all things. It asked her something in it's native language before she said "I do not see that. What I see it that you've been over-thinking things too much. I believe that is why your wife is upset with you. You need to take things one step at a time." The wookie then asked something before paying a credit, the woman taking his hands and reading. She had been at this for the last half-hour, taking one reading after another and giving the customers a satisfied enough answer. Already she'd reached at least 40 credits for all the readings she'd done, and it was only one credit per-reading. The wookie was finished and she gestured for whoever was next to sit down across from her.

Someone near the woman scoffed, not understanding or believing what she was saying. Of course, he had not participated in a reading, he was merely an observer. As he turned to leave Dawn took his place, watching a few of the customers come through. It took a few minutes for the warrior to understand exactly what was happening. Once she did she tipped her head to the side, intrigued by the discussions. Slowly the crowd grew smaller as the people finished asking questions and receiving answers. Likely a few were going to tell others about the fortune teller. Quietly Dawn joined the line, wondering what would be said of her.

Dawn knew her 'family' would not approve, as they trusted the signs of the stars and their Gods, not the words of mortals. But that did not stop her. Soon it was her turn, and she sat down, carefully removing her gauntlets and placing them on the ground. Hands resting on the table she looked at the hooded one with a calm expression. She had no particular questions, though she could think of something if need be.

With only one customer left the woman stopped and was silent for a moment, as if looking away from the one who'd sat down. Finally she spoke saying "Ah, I see we have a traveling warrior with us. What question could you ask of me, my dear? Could it be something about your cloning? Perhaps what your 'family' thinks of you? Or do you wish to know if you'll finally become the leader of your colony one day? So many questions and only one credit each. And you may ask as many as you wish. It is all a matter of listening." she looked up to her and removed her hood, revealing her pale blue eyes that seemed to stare directly at her. "And seeing." she smirked.

Many questions indeed. Each was just as intriguing as the next. At only a credit each... Dawn could afford to ask as many questions as she wanted. The cult, also known as her 'family', had plenty of money. Seeing as she was their hope for the future, they gave her plenty of allowance. Enough to enjoy the planets she visited- and some. A few seconds passed before she decided what to ask first. "What does my family plan for me?" Dawn said, tipping her head a few degrees to the right. A credit was placed on the table, one of many to come. As far as she knew the cult planned on using her to dominate weaker forces, treating her like a tool. But if that was their true intention... why were they fine with her body slowly killing itself, while she aged faster then the average being? It seemed more like they were testing her, seeing if their formula would work...

Taking the credit Salina said "Let me see your hands." she said, holding her out for Dawn to hold. As she held it something moved in Salina's sleeve, Dawn may or may not have noticed. Salina closed her eyes and began to read, saying "What your family intends is a great a maze as the one in your mind. So many routs and paths to take, so many corners to turn, but only one way out is certain. The greater mystery is which will find it first, you or the ones who watch you run the maze itself." She opened her eyes and took her hands away. "Another question?"
