The Wookiee could only shake his head at the display he just saw. He could not help but agree with his shorter, Togruta companion. The man -- no, boy -- was too immature and had seen far too many adventure holos. He watched as the Forceling used her abilities to heal the man's injury. Chewurra then looked down at her through his helm as she lightly scolded him about his rifle stance. He gave a little snort of amusement before positioning his bowcaster in a "correct" stance.

((Is that better?)) He spoke, a hint of sarcasm in his Shyriiwook.

The scion of Clan Lok then drew his attention over to the other miners and people seeking freedom from their oppressors. In his mind, he thought back to all of the history that he learned as a wookling. The Wookiees had been under the thumb out of various empires and slavers. In a way, the workers were not much different. He saw members of different species among their numbers, all exploited by the corrupt corporations that had their claws over Hamra's mining industry. His helmet then returned back to met Anashja's gaze.

((So long as they have indomitable hearts, and a want to be free of their shackles...)) He spoke carefully, ((They will be ready. ))

He paced some before looking her dead in the eyes. ((But are you ready to help lead them?))

It was cramped.

Three armoured Mando'ade in a drop pod. The shipwrights had to hurry up and get those modernised pods out to the squad. Lish was starting to get annoyed with their dragging feet on the matter. And Romul Saxon Romul Saxon didn't want to make fire under them either. If there was such a thing as budget cuts in the Si'kahya, then Beviin squad certainly got cut.

:: A'ight lets get this karkin' done! Ya'll hyped for this? I sure as shit am. ::
"What about you, Lesh? Feeling the urge to introduce Beviin squad to those di'kutla Marauders?"
Lesha looked at her squadmates, a sinister smirk curling her mouth. "You bet your asses, I am. We hit em hard and fast and don't blow up shit because there's Rhydonium stored all over the place." she said before placing her helmet on her head. "Let's rock and roll, Lancers." she then added.

They dropped in fast, not too far from the Hub. As was custom with the squad with these old pods, they jetted out before it even hit the ground. It seemed engagement was already in full swing as they approached the industrial area. Some locals have taken up arms alongside some fellow Vode and were trying to take back their lives from the pirate scum that had taken over their work area.

Smoke was rising from one facility and comms chatter indicated that Vode were on the move toward a second one.
<Let's head for the refinery - clean em up there. If you shoot, shoot straight.> she said before jetting toward the refinery adjacent to the stations, picking off some criminals that seemed to start overwhelming some of the locals.

The Lance would strike at the heart.

When Aerith Krayt moved off, Mira rose and darted in a different direction to split up the carnage. Silence wasn't as important as moving ass, so the tall woman leaped from one roof to the next at speed. Every now and then a voice would cry out, but just one or two -- hardly a threat or worth slowing down for. The freedom fighters could mop up the remnants. After all, Mira hadn't been created to take out the trash.

The squeak and grow of scarcely oiled bearings ahead told Mira all she needed to know. While Aerith chattered in her ear about hit and run tactics, Mira sailed out into a large avenue where a tread-based vehicle rolled toward the front of the facility. Armored beated had a nice repeater on it too. Would make a right mess of things if sonic-armed fighters even tried to tackle it. Fortunate for them that Mira dropped down atop the tank and slammed the butt of her rifle right into the commander's face.

Sure, the landing hurt like the Nether, but she could rub her ass later.

Speaking of right messes, Mira reached out to pull one of the thug's own grenades, popped its top, and let it drop inside the tank. She darted into an alleyway and took cover as the thing blew with shrapnel cast about. No fuel containers or trucks nearby so it'd seemed unlikely there'd be anything truly explosive to worry about getting struck.

After all, Aerith had more to say about some pirates rigging the generator to build up to detonation. Mira scoffed at just how much of a nuisance these pests were.

Stone's voice came back that he'd dropped an E-Web, which Mira had to admit sounded like an accomplishment. A good example of why hanging around the Mandalorians didn't grate her the wrong way.

With that said, Mira had quickly bounced back up to her feet to begin closing on the second facility where Aerith was headed. A few quick leaps between walls would have the tall soldier back on the rooftops. Closer to the area where the material would be kept there were even some raised platforms and walkways for her to leap onto. Time for her to find a place to cover the other fighter's approach and scope out where the Rhydoniumwas being kept.

Moving inside a large building, Stone made his way down a main stairway, clear of enemies, though he could hear noise and movement, and was picking up a crowd of lifesigns ahead. One of his trusty Westar-34s in each hand, the Mandalorian descended into a large open space. The stairs led all the way down to a wide open floor, where several groups of workers were clustered together, obviously afraid. The reason for their fear was apparent in the dozens of goons overlooking them from higher tiers that stepped up around the ground area. A voice spoke up from among the enemy, as Stone halted his advance midway down the stairs, coming from above and across.

"Hold it there Mandalorian. Drop the blasters!" Stone was in no mood for games, and worse, with all these witnesses, he couldn't dare use his special talents. That given, he was still in no way prepared to give up his weapons and his freedom to these scum. Fine, if they wanted to play, then he'd play. "These blasters right here?" He said, in a jovial tone, spinning the blasters, then tossing them from hand to hand, before moving into a smoothly practiced routine where he spun and juggled the blaster pistols from hand to hand while speaking. "These weapons are a part of my religion, my dude."

revolver-ocelot-gaming.gif

Stone spent the time while he was outwardly showing off ensuring that he had spotted out the goons' positions on the railing above him. "And you're outgunned." He fired in a blur, rattling off twelve precisely aimed shots in such a relaxed manner, he would barely have seemed to diverge from his display of dexterity, dropping a dozen of the enemy in seconds. There were more than twelve enemy in the large room, and so Stone followed up with a full burst from his whistling birds, emptying the launcher, but taking out another twelve fighters, smoking holes in armoured troops dropping all over the place. Now the chakaar really was outgunned, two to one.

"Drop your weapons." Stone said, both smoking Westar-34s leveled at the one who'd spoken the initial challenge. "You people get out of here." He nodded back the way he had come at the workers, who broke from the floor and headed up the stairwell past Stone, who began moving in to take a live prisoner and get some intel. He kept one blaster on the fellow who had dropped his blaster and stood motionless, hands raised over his head as the Mando'ad approached, weapon in hand. "What else is waiting for us? Talk!" Stone growled, waving the Westar for emphasis. His own side's reinforcements were coming, and as the advance man, he wanted to give them useful intel, and prevent anyone walking into a trap.

They hit the ground after a bumpy, confined ride. Tharia didn't mind cramped spaces, but being cramped together with two of her Vod even tried her patience. Yeah, they really needed to get those better drop pods. Especially since they couldn't even land in the damn thing. The door popped open still midflight and the trio emerged, soaring towards the facility.

<Let's head for the refinery - clean em up there. If you shoot, shoot straight.>

<No arguments here. I like blowing things up, but I'd like to avoid being the thing blown up.>

She chuckled under her helmet before turning her direction right for the refinery. This was probably the best time to be her, though. Under the helmet, the Chiss was all grins as she descended on the first group of pirates. Well, not her. But the grenade from her belt. Utterly explosiveless it popped open and hissed out a green mist. As she landed, pirate after pirate dropped, overwhelmed by the poison and foaming at the mouth.

No need to worry about explosions if she was just gonna poison everything. She pulled free a dartgun from her hip, making sure to check the munitions. Needles. Not enough to cause a spark if it came in contact with metal, but enough to puncture heavy clothing. Not really armor, so she'd have to be choosy with her shots. One of the pirates near the edge coughed heavily, scrambling to try and get to the intercom system. Only to be shot in the back of the neck. The poison's effect was instant, leaving him gurgling his blood before falling flat.

<Landing secure.>

While Stone Mereel dealt with the enemy on the ground, in space above Hamra, unknown to the old warrior, his fellow Clan mates aboard his home ship Maan'Mereel entered orbit, having followed along to give their vod Stone some backup. Commander Tucker Mereel stood on the vessel's bridge as it zoomed into Hamra's orbit, watching the planet grow in the forward viewports. He spoke an order to a crewmember, then turned back to watch the scan readouts.

From the belly of the hammerhead corvette, a modified cargo container dropped away, falling quickly into Hamra's atmosphere. It had been fitted out with thermal shields sufficient to survive a re-entry, and a onetime thruster to slow its descent, and was cobbled together just enough to hold itself intact to bring its contents to the ground. Inside were the three other members of Stone's squad, the Wild Cards, the 58th Mereel Commandos. Commander Tucker had ignored Stone's wish for privacy and ordered his team to go in and back him up.

Tracking in on Stone's position, the cargo container shot downward on a terminal trajectory, shield glowing red hot as the atmosphere thickened the further it fell toward ground. A simple altimiter let the container know it was okay to fall apart, and it did so, disintegrating into a mess of flaming metal, and three humanoid shapes riding jetpack fire in controlled descents. A towering Houk; Tank, a roaring Wookiee; Angry, and a human female, Vansen, who looked meaner than the other two put together. All three wore Mandalorian style armour, all three carried weapons. Vansen toting a Tensor Rifle, while both the Houk and the Wook were carrying heavy repeating sonic weapons.

As Stone approached the now snivelling and disarmed enemy, waving his Westar-34, the three of his squadmates came down the steps behind him, only adding to the thug's fear and dismay. Stone saw them and relaxed before turning the gun on any of them. "This one's about to tell us all his secrets." Vansen smiled, as she, the Houk and the Wook, advanced to flank Stone, surrounding the captured scumbag.
"I don't know anything!" The man pleaded. "Too bad for you." Said Stone. "Go ahead and eat him." He said, nonchalantly.

The screams of the foolish criminal echoed throughout the large room as the Houk and Wookiee took hold of him by the arms and legs respectively...

<No arguments here. I like blowing things up, but I'd like to avoid being the thing blown up.>

"That makes three of us." Alberich commented drily, eyeing his surroundings as Lesha took the lead. The drop had been textbook, and uncontested. Well, relatively speaking. A group of pirates had stumbled upon them soon after they had touched down. Stumbled, yes, and died like only true fools could; quickly, and without putting up much of a struggle.

As much as he sometimes disliked the Chiss, he couldn't argue with the results. She got shit done. Probably why she had been assigned to Beviin squad in the first place.

Jetting after Lesha, the big Mando had done his best to join the party. The refinery was the end all be all, true, but there had been enough enemies along the way to keep him occupied. More than once he had landed to assist the freedom fighters, picking off marauders from the rooftops. The whisper of his Verpine was accompanied by the roar of his jetpack as he rose and fell, stopped, shot, and moved on.

Towards the refinery. Towards the end all be all.

Death and taxes. That's what folks said were two grantees in life. There were a couple more, of course. Trust a Sith, get stabbed in the back; insult a Mandalorian and get punched. Corporations and corruption. The locals knew something shady was happening at the Hayata sites. Hayata showed up, and the amount of spice being sold on the corners went up with it. Everyone knew it wasn't a coincidence.

But no one dared cross it. Speak out, end up in a ditch. What cops weren't corrupt were too afraid of their fellows. Who knew who was in the Sekiko's pocket. Mistrust amongst themselves, mistrust from the civilians, it all lead to a mess where no one dared to try and touch Hayata and figure out the truth.

At least until the Enclave showed up. The rumors were too obvious to ignore. Illegal spice trade. Hayata fronts. Sekiko Kaibatsu. Gang hits. Mevi let out a sigh as she clicked off the holoprojector on her vambrace before looking up at the warehouse. One of Hayata's 'fronts', if the reports were correct. The Mandalorian stepped up to the front doors, her helmed gaze turning towards the two guards.

"Karjr business. Take me to who's in charge."

... As it turned out, the criminal didn't know of any surprises waiting for the Mandos, but he did know where the criminals had hidden their treasure. Millions of credits as well as other valuables stolen from the workers, and from other illegal operations on world. The whole bank of the entire planet's criminal enterprises, holding huge ill-gotten wealth. The scumbag explained the location, the security, and gave up the access codes, in exchange for his life. When he'd finished, Stone, Vansen, Tank and Angry all shared a look. Nobody else knew about this stash, and no one was going to. Stone raised his blaster to the scum's head. "You promised you'd let me go!"

There could be no witnesses. Not even their fellow Mando'ade could know about this. A once in a lifetime opportunity. "I lied." Stone pulled the trigger. "We need to move on this now." They all knew what was at stake, and quickly the four of them exited the area, making their way through the complex as per the instructions the criminal had given them. Below a warehouse, behind a vault door, they found what could only be described as a mother lode. Credits, jewels, and valuables, what looked like at least fifty million credits' worth. Quickly, the four Mando'ade packed up the entire load, securing it in portable carry cases.

Extracting themselves, avoiding contact with any locals or friendly forces, the four of them managed to secure their stash aboard a shuttle, which they took possession of near the edge of the complex. "One of us keeps this in sight at all times." Stone ordered. They were off the grid with this side operation, no one could know, and they'd split the haul between the only four beings in the galaxy that knew of the theft. Vansen sat down on the crates, leaving Stone and the Houk and Wook to move back out on patrol, making a clearing sweep of the fueling complex. Any enemy with any sense seemed to have long fled, along with the workers Stone had freed.

Stone took his team back into the complex, now with the added backup firepower of his vode, he could move faster and with less caution, the three being team more than able to deal with any threats that presented themselves.

They were quick and effective.

They did what they did best - they struck with the speed of a lance biting at someone over and over again. Tharia striking like a venomous viper while the whisper of Alberich's Verpine picked off numerous militia. Lish didn't hold back either and many fell by her own firepower as she jetted past.

Quickly, the trio made their way to the refinery.

<Landing secure.>
<Good job.> Lish said as she touched down next to Tharia. <These thugs will most probably try to smuggle some of this Rhydonium off world, seeing as they're cornered now. Let's make sure they don't. Spread out, clear out as many militia as you can. Let's give these people their livelihoods back intact.> she told them both before she started moving forward into the facility.

It was oddly deserted in most of the building, as Lish checked most of the hallways and offices as she moved.

She made a detour to the warehouse area where most of the containers were stored to be loaded up for transport.
<Lancers, heading to Warehouse A-1 - meet me there if you can. Sitrep on your end so far?> she asked the two of them for an update as she slowly approached the warehouse.

Switching her HUD to Infra-Red, she scanned the area on the other side of the wall, before she dared enter the warehouse itself. There were definitely a bunch of warm bodies inside, moving about fervently. With the amount of guns that would probably be going off all at once inside, they would risk blowing the whole Hub and city sky high.

<Tharia - your skills are needed to clear this place out without resulting explosions. Alberich, that Verpine could come in handy as well.> she told them as she stayed outside for the moment, keeping an eye on what was going on on the other side of the wall.

Capitalise on your team's strengths - that was something she had learned years ago already.

Mira crouched down on the outside of a holding facility. Her eyes peered through the window toward the activity inside. The sound of battle raged at a distance, but she could tell the cadence had begun to slow. A hololense then lit up over Mira's right eye to display a zoomed in image of the activity within the building. The low vibration of a hum rose within.

Soon enough the creatures began to withdrawal from the stockpile of binned rhydonium. Mira slipped a torch out of her belt and quickly carved a hole in the window for her to drop through. Her boots touched down upon a second story balcony with no indication any hostiles remained. As expected under the circumstances.

<"Generator's not the only thing rigged to blow,"> Mira said into her commlink for allied forces' awareness.

Despite seemingly being alone in the structure, Mira raced among the crates toward the stairs while she kept her head low and rifle cradled in both hands. Only once she'd drawn down to the ground level and done an initial survey did she collapse the weapon and store it once more.

Mira strode to the nearest explosive that'd been strapped to one of the bins of rhydonium. The mandibles of her face flexed slightly at the sight. <"Don't allow the pirates to escape. Pin them down,"> she broadcasted to whomever would listen. Whether they did or not was not in her control. All Mira could do was pull out a knife and set to work disarming the explosives before the pirates either escaped or got desperate enough to take everyone with them.

Spreading out?

Perfect. Tharia's grin could practically be felt as Lesha Priest gave the order. The reason? No allies nearby meant she could unload all of her new, likely experimental toys. The lack of fear for friendlies getting caught meant these poor pirates were going to end up through hell before finally escaping through death. Or, at least, that was the plan. Down the path and round the corner she went, leaving the rest of her squad.

Only to hear activity. Violence. They weren't the only ones here, yeah, but she didn't expect to run into.. Whatever Mira Athrani Mira Athrani was. The Chiss woman raised a brow. At least she spoke on the open coms. And they looked Mandalorian.

And they were disarming a bomb.

Tharia muttered in annoyance under her breath before closing the distance to peer down at the explosives. "Desperate fucks, huh?"

<Ey, Cap'n, they got this place fuckin' rigged. If whoever's got the trigger's as nuts as I am they'll blow themselves sky high than get captured.>
At least she wasn't lying. She'd give Mira a simple nod before crouching down to help dismantle the bomb. Or at least would've, if Lesha didn't request her. Tharia frowned, then reached up to pat the alien woman's shoulder.

"You got this? Yeah you fuckin' do. See ya!" And just like that she was gone, heading back to regroup. Once back with Lesha, and Alberich Wren Alberich Wren hopefully, she'd give a nod.

"So which poor, desperate fucks am I about to poison?"

<Spread out, clear out as many militia as you can. Let's give these people their livelihoods back intact.>

<"Copy."> Breaking off from the pack, Alberich made his way up instead of along, splitting from Lesh and Tharia in order to cover more ground. The chatter coming in over the comms suggested the marauders were getting desperate. Indeed, as he climbed to the first floor, he was surprised to see a band of civilians being marched towards him. From the patches on their coveralls, Alberich guessed they worked here. Men, women, the unfortunates who'd been caught up in the mess.

Taking it slow, Alberich paused halfway up the flight of stairs. The top half of his body was exposed, and clearly visible to the approaching workers. The one leading the group had his hands raised, and Alberich saw the man's eyes widen in surprise. <"Down!"> He yelled in Mando'a. The workers reacted as if by instinct. They may not have shared the language, but they could all hear the urgency in his voice.

So, too, could the pirates corralling them.

Bolts of blinding red light rushed towards him down the corridor. Alberich replied with armor piercing rounds. Four shots, two dead pirates. And a gaggle of scared workers looking at him with fear in their eyes and pleas on their lips.

<"Get up and get out."> Alberich commanded them, hooking a thumb towards the stairs he'd just come up. A moment's hesitation, and the workers began to move, their footfalls loud in the corridor. One of the pirates twitched. Alberich put a bullet in his dome for good measure as Lesha Priest asked for a sitrep. Activating his comms, he continued his sweep, room by room, corner by corner. <"First floor's clear. Made contact with a couple of pirates using human shields. Advise caution; there may be more.">

The warning given, he pressed on to Warehouse A-1, staying on the upper levels while Lesh and Tharia cleared the floor below. Stepping out onto a gantry, Alberich let his HUD adjust to the low light conditions as he cast a glance out over the vast storage space. It seemed the pirates had had enough. Already they were loading canisters of Rhydonium onto repulsortrucks. A handful were milling about by the entrances, their weapons trained on the doors. And in front of them...

<"Lesh, got confirmation on the presence of hostages. Three by the North-side. Another three by the trucks."> Peeling his eyes, the Mando continued, <"Got eyes on your triggerman too, Tharia. Di'kut looks antsy."> Upon saying this, the 'triggerman' leant over and slapped one of the hostages across the side of his head with a blaster pistol. The bound and bleeding hostage crumpled, the others shying from the blow as if they had been hit. Alberich trained his sights on the triggerman.

<"I'm good to go on your mark, Lesh. Just say the word.">

Atirak City
Hamra

Fully suited up, Thom walked through the spaceport of Atirak City. He arrived in support of the ongoing efforts of The Enclave on Hamra, but was not planning on taking part in their planned assault. Introverted as ever, he pursued a bounty alone. He stepped lightly past vendors on either side of him. The story was pretty typical for a low level bounty target. Criminal henchman does something a little too heinous and earns himself a little price tag. Thom knew the target had been staying in the lowest tier of Atirak City, so naturally that was his current destination. He exited the spaceport and gazed out at the city. The hunter allowed himself to bask in the moment briefly, then plotted out his route to make it to the gate necessary to reach the lower tier of the city.

Thom kept a steady pace as he moved through the streets of the city. He kept his head on a swivel and made sure to not stare too long at any one citizen. The last thing he needed was to start a situation and lose time, or worse, spook his target. At this point Thom ducked into an alleyway and checked around quickly, ensuring nobody was there. He pulled out the holographic bounty puck and activated it. He stared momentarily at the face of the bounty to commit it to memory further. The target was an aged Klatooinian, with multiple recognizable scars down his face. Thom deactivated the holograph and re-pocketed it, then stepped back out into the street and continued to follow the path to the gate.

Thom Betna watched as the dark metal wall grew quickly as he approached. Once again, he took just a moment to admire the beauty of it before shifting his focus back to the matter at hand. He rolled his shoulder back slightly to bring the butt of his blaster rifle down in an attempt to conceal it under his cloak. The rifle was too long and the cloak too short to properly hide it, but he didn't want to stick out too much to the guards as he passed. Thom kept his head even and eyes straight as he walked through the gate, thankfully with no issue. He stopped walking to scan this tier from this location before deciding on a destination and beginning his trek again.

Once they had left Vansen securely with their ill-gotten gains, Stone took his remaining companions moving in a quick sweep through the narrow streets and alleys on the outskirts of the complex, though Stone, Angry and Tank encountered few enemies this far out. Several more groups of workers were passed through, escaping the battle zone, and hopefully any potential blast zone. The Mandalorians let them go, leaving them to be overseen by the local freedom fighters who seemed to be valiantly bringing up the rear.

The party of three moved inward, utilizing lifesign detectors, thermal scans, and electromagnetic sweeps to pick out potential armed enemies from among those still in the combat zone. HUD overlays made the hunt simple, separating the wolves from the sheep, and highlighting the prey for the hunters. Enemy squads made their attempts to waylay Stone's trio, the first few taken down by repeating Sonic fire from the heavy weapons toted by the Wookiee and Houk. "Well, the whole place hasn't blown up yet, and I haven't seen any reinforcements." Stone said, musing. "I guess the other teams have taken control of comms and begun securing the Rhydonium." The Wookiee remained silent, brooding, looking for more enemies to kill, but Tank the Houk spoke. "No shit. We're still alive. Rhydonium blows big."

Mira didn't pause to look up at the blue woman that suddenly appeared nearby. Their presence wasn't shocking. Graceful as the other woman was, Mira was hyper vigilant about potential threats seeing how some of them could literally appear out of thin air using the Force. "Pathetic, more like," she sneered as the blade slowly slipped into the internals of the explosive. "Toothless people shouldn't posture."

Soon enough that Chiss, Tharil Tharil , gave her a hearty back on the back and some words of encouragement before she darted off. "Leave the soldier to disarm the bomb," Mira growled to herself as the monomolecularly thin blade effortlessly severed the control wire to the wireless receiver. The rest of them were on a mesh network with this one being the primary trigger. Didn't mean Mira could walk away from it all -- some suicidal maniac could run back and trigger them manually -- but at least the remote detonator was dealt with for now.

With a grunt, Mira straightened up to her full height -- having been forced to hunch over with such small people planting the bombs. She would rather have been hunting what was left of the pirates, but she was the only one still there to deal with the bombs. Sometimes a woman had to do the dirty work to live to take out the trash later.

As she worked, Mira sent a signal over to Aerith Krayt Aerith Krayt to check on the generator. No doubt the other woman had gotten that done. She seemed capable enough earlier. Maybe even a little peeved at Mira killing the sniper. Kark. With Mira stuck there dealing with bombs that left Aerith to run around killing people if she wasn't busy still on the generator. So much for coming out numerically ahead in the count.

<"Has all the rhydonium been secured?"> Mira broadcasted on the allied frequency. Sounded like some had been put into vehicles earlier. Best to lock all that down so they didn't have to do this all again later.
