The Force of a Hurricane Glee Anselm

Glee Anselm

The wind howled and whirled around A'donari's body while he tried to use his soaking robes to keep the rain out of his face. The swampy world had seemingly turned on the Jedi in a matter of hours since landing to check on a disturbance. From what he had gathered from the locals during a peaceful check up on the planet a dark presence had been felt by all. Shadows began lurking within the swamps as those unfortunate enough to be caught out alone vanished without a trace.

The tangling limbs and mud that made up the bottom of the swamp suddenly wrapped around A'donari's left boot and rapidly moved up his leg. Igniting his lightsaber without a second thought A'donari cut the limbs with short precise strokes but it was too much for him to handle. Creatures began to grow out of the water around him but he knew he had to get himself free before he could deal with them. They began to enclose on him. He concentrated and welled the force inside before sending a sphere like force blast knocking the creatures away from him. The vines began to take his legs up to his stomach. He had little time on his side. He hoped the force would be with him on the day as he sent a distress signal and message through his comm to anyone near by.

"This is Jedi Knight A'donari Cinn on Glee Anselm. I am being overwhelmed. The creatures are stronger than we thought. I need....." Arms gripped at his throat and arms causing him to release himself into his body allowing the force to take over. He became the tool for the light side. One with the force slamming creatures into one another while jumping through the swamp never allowing his feet to touch the bottom for more than second all the while hacking through the creatures that surrounded him.

Time was not on his side.

The Eternal Queen
Rain. This was the worst planet in the galaxy! Feena held her thick white woolen cloak close to her, one hand on her hood to keep her hair at least somewhat dry. It was so... dirty here. Feena certainly was not used to this. The moisture in the air was making her hair positively unmanageable! She had only just arrived, and already she was miserable.

"Oh, I do hate swamps..." she sighed, looking down at her muddy boots, "I will never get these stains out of my robes..."

Her comm went off just then and Feena lifted it up to her ear- and instantly wished she hadn't. The individual screaming on the other end made her squint and let go of her hood. Wonderful. Her hair was getting soaked now and...
"Oh do calm down!" she grumbled, reaching for her lightsaber, "yelling won't help anything! Goodness!"

Thankfully, she could trace the distress call, otherwise she might well be running about in circles!

The presence of the darkside always attracted the attention of Selena. Not in a tempting sense, but in the need to purge it from the galaxy and wash it with the lightside. Glee Anselm's condition was odd because what was the cause of the problem was still unknown. It seemed that figures in shadows were causing problems. The galaxy only had room for one kind of shadow though, and those were the Jedi Shadows that she had been put over.

Though few were on the planet investigating the matter, A'donari was not alone. Selena was also on the rain covered and storming planet. Why she decided to move in this kind of weather was beyond her. The dangers became all the more extreme, but it seemed that the storms were somehow in league with the shadow problem. The Shades as she was coming to referring to them were smart, whatever they were. She had yet to encounter one yet, but she could sense them all around her. It was worrisome when she became aware of the danger that A'donari was in. Why him? She wondered as she began to move to his position. Selena was just as vulnerable, why did they attack him only.

Running through the shin high swamp water was difficult but her legs churned through them. Water kicked behind her, and it was safe to say that her white robes were ruined. Not a big deal though, they seldom survived a mission anyways. The temple quartermaster probably hated her, but that was neither here nor there.

She saw his blade and entered the fray. Her lightsaber turned on, shining the silver light in an area. It cut through one of the figures in a moment, then the blade turned off. She moved to another, turned it on at the last moment and cleaved into its figure. The problem for the Shades was, she too knew how to use the darkness as cover despite have a bright weapon. From her position she shouted to the Twi'lek, "We need to get out of the swamps and to shelter."

"And how do you think you're going to get around in a swamp, hmm?"

She had her hands on her hips and was looking at Threepeat, who was snugged into his position on her E-Wing. He whirred a response at her and the threw her hands up into the air. He was being annoying again. She hated when he was annoying.

"No. You're going to stay here and watch the ship. Make sure someone doesn't steal it."

The droid beeped at her and she waved her hands at him. Stubborn old bugger. She turned away from the fighter so he couldn't keep bugging her, and looked around. She'd landed nearby a village, but the swamp was plainly evident near her. She walked over and gingerly touched her booted foot to the water, and then pulled it back with a disgusted look.

She was about to go and talk to the villagers when her comm beeped and she heard A'donari's voice on the other side. He was in trouble! She closed her eyes and reached out through the Force, feeling the swamp and following its directions. Soon enough, she'd located A'donari, and a few others, not so far away. She took off at a run into the swamp, carefully keeping to solid ground as best she could, and holding a bubble of the Force around her for protection.

I'm coming, A'donari! There is shelter towards me!

His body moved at will with the force. Resting was not an option in his mind. He knew that if his foot hit the bottom of the swamp the vines would grasp onto him once again making him vulnerable. The only option left had been to take to his acrobatic ability he had used as a student before becoming a Padawan learning Soresu. Flipping and spinning in the air while using the precision of form three had been keeping the creatures at bay. Each time he felt his weight returning to the surface of the water A'donari would use the force to spring himself back into the air, each time causing a large splash to shoot out underneath him. Once air born he would throw his body in another direction cutting through three or more of the creatures who had been trying to take his back or sides.

A familiar presence in the Force was close to him. A'donari recognized Selena's presence within the force from their time working together in the Shadows. With her arrival he realized the force had been on his side as it usually seemed to be. He heard her statement, one that he had been contemplating since the fighting had began, though he didn't believe he had gotten any closer to finding the answer to her question.

He allowed his mind to sink deeper into his subconscious allowing the force and his battle precognition to take control while he searched for through what he had discovered through the fighting. He started with their weaknesses. Their bodies were strong but no match for the Jedi and susceptible to injury from the blade of a lightsaber and they only regenerated from the swamp itself.

"We have to gain the higher ground first!" He shouted while slicing through two more creatures whose bodies sunk back into the water. He took the moment of opportunity to launch himself up onto the side of a wet tree trunk.

The Eternal Queen
There! she could hear him before she saw him.
"Well, isn't this charming!"
She was almost reluctant to rush ahead and help. The scene here was filthy! And what in the Galaxy was happening!? oh, she was happy that she at least brought her first aid kit.
They were going to need it.
"Retreat," she shouted, "We do not have the man power currently to deal with something like this!"

Higher ground, Selena mentally groaned. She was not very acrobatic beyond what she could physically do with the aid of the Force. No giving herself a personal telekinetic lift to aid it. But she would do what she needed. Taking out the head of the shade, she then jumped upwards. A foot planted on its falling shoulder. It would give her something to push off of as she jumped to a tree limb. She pulled her body up and took position. Shades began to congregate below her. Good thing about this swamp though was that it had dense tree cover. So she made her way through it. Moving from tree to tree with A'donari not being far away.

These shades were troublesome. They did not appear to be physical at all, in so far as that they had a living being behind their operations. The storm did make it hard to move though. The bark was slippery and the wind was billowing. Water kicked up at them just as much as it fell down. It made seeing the world around her hard, which is why she was happy to have the force but this was far from the tropical paradise that it was advertised to be.

Vines moved to grab her leg. She almost did not notice it in time, but she cut off the end before it could begin to yank her down. The vine wrapped around her ankle made her all the more aware of the threats from the environment as well as the Shades. "Do you know where we are?" she questioned, because surprisingly she was rather lost.

(( aight, this'll be the last post from me for a few hours. I gotta go out. Feel free to play me, A'donari, should not be hard. Sel's pretty straight forward Jedi through and through. If this is still going on in a few hours I'll jump back in. ))

She ran as hard as she could, but in a manner that still allowed her to be careful because she didn't know what she was going to run into, and she didn't particularly want to run into anything. That wouldn't be good, because if she managed to get herself cut then she was going to be in a world of hurt. She didn't want to be in that position, not at all.

Eventually, though, she heard the sounds of battle and ran swiftly towards them. Then she heard Master Feena. Oh boy, she was going to wind up getting herself into trouble again after the first time she'd officially met the woman.

"This way! Come towards me! There's a village the way I came!"

Some of the... whatever they were... came out of the water at her and she released her bubble in a blast of power at them. It sent them away from her, giving her a moment of clearness, at least. That was always nice. She quickly beckoned for the others to come towards her and put a new bubble up around herself, just in case someone decided to sneak up on her or something.

The dark water of the swamp moved unnaturally as heads and torso's seemingly rose through it around the base of the tree that A'donari had found refuge in. Soon in the distance he saw a white robed Jedi jump into a near by tree before hearing shouting in the distance calling for them to head that way. Just before jumping to the tree in front of him the vines from the swamp floor wrapped around the trunk of the tree and snapped it causing it to come toppling down.

Turning horizontally in the air he felt his feet on the side of the falling tree. With a hard push with the aid of the force A'donari sent himself flying towards the next tree in mid air. His chest hit the wood trunk hard and his arms wrapped around to brace his weight. "Selena, the vines are taking out the tree's!" he screamed back at her. She was doing everything in her power to move from trunk to trunk but it was clear to him that she was someone who enjoyed having her feet on the ground.

Moving from tree to tree was dificult. Finding the rhythm of landing and juping became easier though after the seventh or eighth tree and soon A'donari could see two female Jedi not far from one another both wearing white jedi robes which was the only reason he had spotted them out of the corner of his eye. After a few more jumps he found himself leaping to the bank of the swamp which was as moist as the bottom of the swamp he had just come from. His body was splattered with mud from head to toe and the hurricane force rain was still falling all around them. He yelled to make sure he could be heard over the storm, "Which one of you said you knew where the village was?" Just about that time Selena jumped onto the bank next to him but lost her footing and skidded specks of mud all over the dark haired woman's robes. A'donari reached and grabbed the Jedi's waist to support her on the slick muddy swamp bank.

Mud, always tricky toe account for at times. Never knew if you would just sink a little bit or get sucked into it enough to loose a boot. This was more the latter, but with a whole lot more slipping. And yes, it was safe to say that her robes were officially no longer going to be viable after this mission. The white robes were rapidly becoming a strange mixture of white and brown. The Knight steadying her on the bank was a good thing. She was thankful for it, but she did not rely on it for long. She found her footing quickly enough and began climbing up the bank to the top.

A third Jedi was present and clearly knew the way out of here. Being at the edge of the swamp was probably the best thing she could think of aside from the ability to get to shelter. While waiting for the younger woman to give them more precise directions she looked down at the swamp. She could see the dark forms of the shades in the moonlight just barely. Some were starting to move up the muddy embankment. They needed to move quickly.

"Follow me."

She turned and started back the way she'd come. Pulling out her comlink, she called to Threepeat and had him issue a loud shrill so that she made sure that she had her bearings right. When she heard it, she turned a little bit to her right and continued on with the bubble of protection still wrapped around her. She refused to be caught unawares, especially out in the nasty swamp.

They moved along swiftly, her eyes looking for the creatures and such that had been attacking the others. This place seemed like it was in a rough state to her and she didn't much care for that fact. Eventually they came out near where her fighter was and she turned to watch their backs while the others came to safety.

Vine like bodies whose feet were attached to long piles of vines extending from the water of the swamp moved up the bank. Turning around from where he had been following Mairrah with Selena and another dark haired Jedi, A'donari took a second to exam their movement from a distance. Realizations flooded his mind as he continued to move through the now marshy and heavily wooded section of the swampy world.

It was long until the were standing next to Mairra's space craft. A'donari new this from the time she had saved his ass while being engaged by two pirates. Some questions were thrown around the camp but A'donari didn't feel ready to answer any questions or talk about what had just happened yet. He needed to think. "Where did you say the village is?" A'donari asked Mairra who point and told him how far. "Well if you're interested in finishing this to the end then follow me. Sadly the force is telling me that this is far from over." he finished speaking before walking into the woods once again.

Sinking back into the force like he did so often he connected with his flowing conscious that connected his body, force, and mind together. Choosing to allow his body to become a tool was the safest choice for him at this point. It would allow for him to stay on guard and act instantly if anything were to arise or even before if his battle precognition was alerted. Diving into his thoughts with a clean mind was like bathing in the purest light. He began to put together everything he had taken in or seen throughout the past twenty minutes when the swamp had turned on him. The way the swamp bodies had morphed from the water, the way they fell apart spraying water out from within the vines and crumpling back into the swamp, vines from the bed gripping his boots and trying to engulf him, how the vines had not cared to destroy it's own life by crushing tree trunks in the attempt to kill the Jedi, the feint hints of dark side energy that seemed to resonate from the water and ground, lastly he saw the vines that braided together that allowed the bodies to walk out of the swamp but still having to be connected to the vine filled swamp bed.

I fear this is much worse than two warring civilizations fighting for dominance over this planet. While allowing himself to take control of his body once again, like relieving himself of an extremely smart and sensitive auto pilot he began to take in his surroundings. Looking ahead he realized that he was walking behind the three female jedi. It might have been a view to enjoy if they had not been covered head to toe with jedi robes. The mud could stay though if it were up to him. Up ahead the forest began to open in front of the jedi as they walked closer and closer to the village. It was a ghost town like he expected considering how close it sat to the swamp that had taken countless lives of the natives. He clicked on his comm, "This is Knight A'donari Cinn with Knight Selena Halcyon, Master Feena and Padawan Mairra Fehn. I am sending our location. We need aid from any other Jedi in the area. This is not a world war like we had first anticipated. I have reason to believe that this planet is being infected by the Dark side. We will do what we can here on the ground but we need your help." After sending the coardinents he looked to the three jedi around him who he knew would be surprised by his statement. A'donari began explaining what he had put together in his mind during meditating while walking to the village.

Boolon nodded his assent and moved off the stump, sitting on the ground. He indicated the stump to Jaxton. "Of course, Master Ravos. Now, all Dark Repair and biological alchemy rely on similar roots -- similar themes and patterns. In essence, it's simply a powerful Sith with good visualization skills imposing his or her will upon the genetic and cellular structures of the body. Here -- join your power with mine, and I'll guide you through the process of recognizing what has been changed.

"You'll start to sense what parts of this poor creature were intentionally altered, what parts are original, and what parts arose out of the body's response to the intersection of new growth and original structure. If all else fails, that awareness will let you guide surgeons."

The Dark Side of the force was twisted around the woman as she manipulated it's energy. A'donari couldn't fight the urge to want to help the fellow Nautolian. How easy could it have been for him to be in the same place she was now. If it wasn't for Ben then he surely would have been. He owed it all to him.

The woman moved upon his men but he couldn't allow her to hurt them. They were his priority in this point, in this moment. No matter how badly he wanted to help her he couldn't without taking causalities. Risking someone else's life was not the Jedi way. He moved upon her while she was engaging the others, cutting her off. "Your fight is with me." he said calmly.

The dark side the woman controlled was strong but A'donari's connection with the Light Side was stronger. It moved through him as he drifted deep into his subconscious where the force and the man he was connected. The Light Side took control of his movements. The Sith turned at him and threw a flurry of attacks his way which he blocked and avoided easily in his Soresu guard. It was clear she had studied the ways of sorcery since she was a youngling which would have bowed well for her if she had not allowed him to find her in the swamp. She was intentionally infecting her home planet. He was sure another Nautolian force user was the last thing she had expected. Someone willing to cleanse the world of her wicked ways.

She continued to press him opening herself up to counter attacks but A'donari couldn't bring himself to killing her. Could he just take her life? She slammed her arm down and kept her blade heavily on his before reaching out sending lightning towards on of the soldiers that surrounded them. He had to stop her. Twisting the blades violently A'donari pointed his Lightsaber inward slicing through the woman's wrist severing it from her body causing her to shriek in pain. As the limp hand holding the extinguished light saber fell to the floor the Female Nautolian focused all of the Dark side she could in the form of electricity through her other hand. She was going to take as many lives as she could on this day. With a quick slash upward A'donari cut off the woman's other arm at the elbow stopping the lightning instantly. Her unconscious body fell to the floor before him.

Looking to Ardak he spoke with winded breaths coming in and out, "I had to keep them alive no matter what but that didn't mean I had to take her life." He lifted her light saber which was filled with the darkside of the force. Begging to kill. He would have it destroyed upon returning to Curoscant but for now it would stay safe with him.

He connected through the force with Master Jaxton, "The Sith Sorceress has been stopped. We need a transport at my location which I will give by setting off our distress beacon. Some of the Republic soldiers need healing and the Sith needs healing as well. She will be dead within the next twenty minutes. Please come as fast as you can."

With that he moved to the soldiers who had been hit by the Sith's lightning to aid them as best he could.

Jaxton Ravos

Mindwalker of the Outer Rim
Jaxton watched as Boolon moved off of the stump, and he began speaking of genetic reordering and cellular structures and all kinds of scientific mumbo-jumbo he probably failed back in pre-academy school. Not wanting to look baffled or stumped however, he went in anyways, knowing the healer wouldn't let him screw something up at the cost of someone else's health. He tried for a while to find what the things Boolon specified, with little luck, and then instead began searching for the Darkside of the Force, as precisely as I could manage.

"I'm going to try something now." Jaxton said as a warning incase he failed, and began concentrating on the areas of the sithspawn he could find that were tainted, to try to purify them, revert them to what they once were.

The Sithspawn was becoming, more recognizably, a Nautolan. Boolon kept her mind asleep, shunting away the pain of transformation.

"Good, good. Just be careful - so many structures of her body rely on that taint. It needs to be withdrawn gradually. But well executed, Master Ravos."
