The Floating Market [The Tainted Chorus - Open to all]

Orbit Above Malachor V, The Floating Market

Overcrowded was a bit of an understatement when describing the Floating Market. Each corner, each corridor, every place that eyes could see were littered with people, raging from smugglers and traders, to beggars and low lives that somehow found their way to the ghost ship, which was slowly growing into a popular shadowport for those that roamed around the boarders of the Stygian Caldera. The range of wares was the same strange, complex mix as those that resided on the former warship, ranging from major criminal groups selling arms and drugs, to small time vendors selling their private loot.

Darth Abyss, somewhat ruler of the Floating Market, rested in the VIP area of the Club of the Enlightened, a highly esteemed nightclub-bar combo where information was flowing as freely as drinks and insults. From there the sith lord could easily overlook the doings on the market, as his eyes and ears rested everywhere, informing about every move made by the other groups there. The situation was relaxed as always, because no one really had a problem with his control of the place. He was the one pulling the strings in case of an emergency, but beyond that he simply allowed the market to do its own thing. That was better for business.

Below the black market rested a far darker place, the notorious slave market. Here everything that lived and breathed could be sold our brought, without anyone interfering with such petty things as law and order. It was a rough, unfriendly place, but so was the galaxy. Money was money, no matter if it was paid with righteousness, sweat or blood.

OOC
Ever made an item for your character, but now you feel like you don't need it anymore? Come to the Floating Market and trade it with someone else in the same situation. Criminal crew or cartel? Set up show, sell whatever it is you make money with, or push out a rivaling gang to establish some turf for yourself on the market. Every once in a while I will pop in here, and describe what is going on inside the market, or react to what you are doing there. Also have fun.

So that is the actually idea for this, but in the end you can to whatever you want and just roam around this new place if you want to obviously. Also don't ask to enter, just do it. I might tagged it as faction thread, but it is really open for all.

Darth Vupua made her way through the crowds, followed by the elite Sun Guards that had pledged to serve her following the death of her late Sith Master. Hanging from the hip of the Sith Lord were two Lightsabers. The first was the one she had first constructed as a Padawan learner under Sochi Ru, but the other was a far more ancient and more deadly weapon. Crafted only to execute the most lethal of unorthodox maneuvers in Lightsaber combat, Darth Bane's Lightsaber had been discovered by Darth Ayra and taken due to it's historical significance to the Rule of Two. But the weapon served her apprentice as nothing more than a trinket, that wasn't useful existing in the confines of the Initium. So she would sell it at the Floating Market in exchange for information, service or credits.

Between two Sun Guards, a mannequin carried the Robes of Darth Bane forward to where Vupua would pitching herself up for sale. Like the Lightsaber, they served no use to her as they were now, and unlike Ayra, Vupua held no sentimentality for who Darth Bane had been. His teachings, revolutionary as they were, now served her and her alone, until she finally discovered another to call apprentice. On her shoulder, Vupua carried a satchel which contained rare and precious Lightsaber crystals, such as the Qixoni, Katak and Solari crystals that she had also inherited from her Master. Originally bought for Darth Ayra's experiments into crystalogy, the science proved to be a failure and now the crystals themselves only served as a commercial benefit for the moment.

Among the crystals and rare artifacts that Vupua had brought with her was a spare Lightsaber she had found doing nothing.
