Formerly known as The Royal Naboo Republic, the Faction was reorganized into The High Republic in 902 ABY as it sought to become a new galactic democracy following a period of growth in a quadrant of the galaxy colloquially known as the 'Southern Systems' during the reign of Kalantha: Queen and Monarch of Naboo before she stepped down and subsequently ran to become High Chancellor in the newly reformed Republic.
A megacorporation found within the Republic (Cortessan Finance Group) (led by the mysterious Wend Maricon) began the revitalization work of an ancient hyperlane called The Five Veils Route in the same year of the Naboo-Republic's reformation into the High Republic under the purview of the Five Veils Committee who were awarded oversight of the project.
We approached the Cortessan with an offer to create a new subsidiary within their company.
Called the Tarsai Vigil, it is a security division under the umbrella of the finance group which began operations along the Five Veils tasked with the administration of tax, tolls and security patrols of the hyperlane as ships come or go through High Republic space. Through the official work of the Vigil, we have acquired a foothold within Republic space which has given us avenues of exploration, gathering of information, exploitation and influence in their politics, external or internal policies, and foreign affairs.
The subsequent star systems and their worlds which make up the High Republic share a long border with three other powers in the galaxy such as the Galactic Alliance, Black Sun Syndicate and Sith Order. We seek to exploit tensions between Republic and the sect of Jedi known to us as the Order of Shiraya who have also reformed themselves in a modern day incarnation distinctly called 'The Jedi Order'.
It is only natural that the Jedi, who seek to be peacekeepers on the behalf of the High Republic, will be the adversaries of the Sith Order.
Beneath the veneer of the Tarsai Vigil and it's participation in the Five Veils project, we seek to bring the Republic and their Jedi defenders into war with the Sith while we conceal ourselves through our powers in the dark side...
