The Works

Ultionis knew that he was risking a lot journeying away from the more civilised sectors of the city-world, but he also knew that his Master was risking much more. Darth Nazari had a lot on his plate, and the Togruta apprentice was surprised to hear that he would be travelling to the heart of the Republic to continue the Senators training. Ultionis piloted his air speeder, further into the large, flat industrial area, his dark cloak flapping wildly as the wind passed through the open gap created by his montrals. It had been a month now since his return to politics and still the Jedi had failed to notice his presence, his master's teachings working well in disguising his apprentice's Force presence. The young Sith had made sure to also continue his training in private. Unlike many of the other members of the One Sith, Ultionis was isolated from his fellow brethren, the eyes of the Republic watching his every move, but today was an important day, one worth taking risks for.

The speeder drew closer to one of the rare factories that loomed over the flat terrain of the rest of the sector, shadows surrounded the Togruta, as he passed under the building shade. Ultionis had come across this building not long after his return, finding a use for the abandoned factory as a meeting place for his secret allies as well as a training hall to continue his mastery of the dark side. The Apprentice had given Nazari the coordinates to the facility so was certain that his Togruta Master would not be far behind him.

Landing the speeder in a sheltered entry hangar, the hooded Sith, disembarked his transport and made his way up to the training hall, placing his hand near the gnarled branch-like hilt of his lightsaber in reassurance. Ultionis would not have to wait too long, his desire for a fight itching through his skin. However he would patiently wait until the arrival of his Master.

Nazari seemed to appear from no where. The shadows that had previously cloaked him seemed to disperse in an instant, and from them walked the Sith Lord with a confident, and nearly smug gait. He stepped up behind his apprentice with a slight frown on his face, the man had been late, something that Nazari did not enjoy in the least.

“How fares the senate?” His voice was nearly a snarl, angry and abashed. The Togruta had no time to waste, no time to wait. “Is it ready to rise once again?”

The Jedi as of late had become rather uppity. They had taken over most of the Republics daily operations and had in fact created a sort of theocracy, though no one would admit it. They were the ones that had pushed the war with the Sith, something that Nazari was actually quite amused by. The Senate however had taken a back seat in recent months, something that now needed to be changed.

Nazari watched his apprentice, with curious eyes.

Ultionis hid his shock well, annoyed with himself that still his teacher was able to prowl around without being aware of his presence. Turning to face the Togruta Sith, he knelt down before his Master, placing the hood onto his back, revealing pearly white head-tails, that sprouted from the top of his head.

Still keeping his gaze firmly on the dark, dust-ridden floor, Ultionis relayed all that had happened since his their last meeting, "All goes well my Master. Neither the Jedi nor the Senators have yet to discover my identity. I have begun new bids in the Senate, appealing to both the Chancellor and the Jedi Council, in the hope that they will begin to return some power to the useless old fools that inhabit the Senate chamber. The Chancellor is still pondering the idea, however I am confident that the Senates return is inevitable."

It was true, that the Senator of Shili had played a rather large role in the reformation of the Republic government, in fact Ultionis was hoping that this would gain him some much needed popularity among both the Jedi and the people of the Republic. Darth Sidious didn't get anywhere without spreading a few smiles and making new friends. Although the thought of it brought bile up his digestive track, Ultionis would soon have to form some more ties within both the Senate and the Jedi Order, if only to solidify the ruse Senator Ruu portrayed.

His eyes still fixed firmly on the ground, Ultionis waited for his Master's permission to rise, and hopefully his approval at the Togruta's most recent work, praise was often hard to come by with Darth Nazari.

(I'm so sorry i totally forgot about this thread ~_~)
Nazari gazed at his apprentice, but then gave him a nod. He seemed to smile beneath his mask, at least everything was going to plan. The Republic was the new power house of the galaxy. It controlled a massive expanse of territory and countless worlds were represented in its Senate. With Khantor representing their homeworld of Shili, a planet usually aligned with the light Nazari knew that progress would come swiftly for the One Sith, and that thought made him smile.

“Excellent.” It was about the largest compliment one could expect from the Togruta.

He paused for a second as he thought about the coming reformations and the reinstatement of the Senate full time slowly he wandered around his apprentice in a circle, observing the man for any hints of deception or lies. Khantor had proven loyal so far, but Nazari had been taught never to trust.

“What of opposition? The Other senators.” Nazari spoke softly, almost too softly for him.

(Not a problem :D )

Pride swelled up in the Togruta's heart as he received the praise of his Master, however he made sure to quickly suppress it down before the elder Togruta sensed it. Keeping his gaze fixed on the rust-laden floor, Ultionis continued to listen in as the Sith spoke, the softness of his voice bringing shivers down his apprentices spine. Nazari was indeed a very intimidating Sith.

"Well actually Master there isn't that much opposition. Knowing many of the Senators on Coruscant, the only thing they seek to gain from the reformations is power. No one as of yet has openly opposed the renewal, although the Jedi are dragging it out. They don't wish to relinquish their power in the Republic." Memories flashed back to a meeting with several of the High Council members, how sweaty Ultionis had been. He had remained calm during the entire encounter and had been relieved to find that no one had noticed his presence, he had hid it well. The Jedi had argued against it although there were a few who actually supported the idea, causing a small tear in the Jedi's ranks, a bonus in Ultionis' eyes.
