Description:
Mara Jade’s first lightsaber was given to her by Emperor Palpatine when she became the Hand of the Emperor. She used the lightsaber alongside her hold out blaster; a weapon that was easily concealable. The lightsaber was used throughout the Galactic Civil War as Mara Jade’s primary weapon. The lightsaber was lost druing a fight after the Battle of Endor against Lumiya on Caprioril. The duel happened because Lumiya was sent to hunt down Mara Jade to bring her back under Imperial Services, Mara Jade escaped but the loss of her saber was the price. Mara Jade would eventually join the ranks of the Jedi that Skywalker lead - there she constructed a new purple lightsaber as training of being a Jedi Knight.
After being lost to the tides of time, a young Jedi named Mira Rekali went on a mission to find herself. During this time she meditated at the light sided nexus’ and conversed with Jedi spirits of the past about her purpose. These discussions lead her to Mara Jade’s saber which was recovered on the same planet she lost it on: Caprioril. Returning from her journey, Mira cleaned up and reactivated Mara Jade’s lightsaber along with Skywalkers lightsaber. Keeping the purple blade as a personal weapon, she ventured out towards Hoth to find another lightsaber that was lost to the past.
Upon her arrival, which ended up being a very explosive atmosphere entry. Mira came into contact with an assassin by the name of Fiore. Being bound and eventually cared for - the two conversed and Mira discovered small snap shots of Fiore’s past. Eventually the evening soured and Mira shoved the saber into Fiore’s chest telling her to take the blade to her Commanders to prove the death of a Jedi. Despite the request, Fiore kept the blade knowing that it belonged to Mira and began to use it as her own personal weapon.
