The gathering of Alpha's had done little to endear the Hathbi Alpha to any one being in particular. Several making themselves clear on their stance of someone far more familiar to them than to himself. A wolf that smelled of stars and blood. One that held disdain and something much darker close to his heart and cared little for the land that blanched in his wake.

Or at least was what he presented.

That he had arrived at all to strike at the Fayth was a testament to some inkling of concern about this world and the beings that graced the lands. That breathed deep the winds and sang their songs to the gods they kept within their minds eye.

The ground was cool beneath his feet as he silently thought. Their situation was dire. Though the held the means to rectify such issues. If they could settle enough to cease their posturing and terminate the illness that had taken hold of their home.

Aside from the bickering, there had been the distinct undertone of other emotions at the lofted insult to the one that called for their attendance.

And even with the crisp air of the north, he was finding it difficult to air out that lingering presence of other's emotions. He couldn't fault them for the intensity of such feelings. They were closer to nature than most beings and that brought with it the proclivity to feel their experiences that much more intensely.

Just a silent wish that they might learn to channel those emotions for the matter at hand rather than the back and forth they had mired themselves in.

The soft sounds of running water finally connecting with the sense in his mind of the feeling that life sustaining element had given him long ago. Causing his trail to wind to and fro about the woods without escort. Nature and its renewal of the spirit was something that had always brought him to wander in silence.

His the only shadow cast upon the ground as he followed the invisible lines that drew his mind afar.

The small stones that littered the bank grinding together underfoot and sinking into the chilled earth beneath as he took a knee. The cool water lapping away the heat that permeated his skin. Wherever he traveled, the sands of his home were always present as a radiant heat. The cold of the north in constant struggle against the warmth that wrapped around him in a dry air.

Stone pressed against cloth and into his skin, reminding him of purpose as he knelt before the stream in silent thanks.

He removed the outer layer of cloth from his shoulders coming to rest about his chest. The sash wrapped their holding it in place as his hands came together and sank into the rushing waters. The cold biting into his fingers and sharing itself beneath his skin as it crept up his arms and into his shoulders slowly.

Seldom had he felt the cooling embrace of water. The dunes own water lukewarm compared to what he felt now beneath the large trees that decorated the lands.

The meeting all but forgotten as he let his senses open freely. The sway of branches among the trees as the wind danced along in its own path to the sky. The water swaying and jumping along the path it had worn into the earth that held it with the embrace of old friends despite the grooves it had worn into it.

A semblance of solace in a world that was permeated with ire and strife for the Alpha's kind.

"Lay your head upon the land, lay your heart upon the ground. Let yourself be made anew with the warmth of the world that holds you dear." He sang softly as he supped from his cupped hands. The remnants of his effort falling spreading the cold across his face and collar.

"Let it cradle you in joyous birth, and gracious passing. And welcome it as one would a dear friend, for you are forever it's beloved child." His words crooning to those he had lost. A prayer once more thrown upon the wind for his failures.

His hands fell once more, softly finding their place in his lap as he pushed away his fears, frustrations, and thoughts to allow himself to simply exist for a short while.
