The Experiments

Jaster was now obsessed yet again, he found a new organic toy to occupy his time. The Ysalamir was a fascinating creature that Jaster was now just being introduced to. This creature had the ability to create a bubble that could negate the effects of the Force. Jaster knew little about the force, but over the years was slowly beginning to understand it. The only situration that he truely faced was how some people were able to manipulate it, and others could not. This had never been done, no scientist ever truely tried to delve into the world of a force user. At least none that Jaster was able to uncover through all of his digging through archived datacrons.

After the great darkness, much of the knowlage of the past was lost, though never was it destroyed. Since then hundreds of archeological finds uncovered the old worlds, data was groundbreaking and revolutionary. Though Jaster just knew it as a faster way for people to kill one another.

This however was Jasters latest purchase, a data chip from Mauw Thrawn and his experiments. These creatures were mentioned and Jaster had to capture a few, this was not easy task though.

Jaster had purchased multiple clusters of the interesting creatures. Cost Jaster more as he required the trees in which they never left. They arrived on the secreat Umbrella Laboratory, it was concealed by a conjoined effort by Jaster and his ally [member="Sempra the Hutt"].

He needed time along with the creatures and knowing how long it took for them to reproduce, Jaster would be stuck there for a few months. He needed to check their brain patterns in a fully force capable posistion. Jaster had constructed clones from a force user he borrowed from his work on the Clone Army some months back. Only one would be needed, and Jaster had been studing her closely as well as raising her. The work was slow, but Jaster confidence in his abilities of the mission were above average.

He worked with the Force Using Clone on many occasions to adjust her ability to levitate a rock. She was a quick learner and picked up on the training quickly. He was no Jedi master, but as a soldier and skilled Mandalorian, he knew how to train a person in honing their skills. Also being trained as a Force User Hunter didn't hurt as one must know their pray before hunting them.

The first objective was to have the force capable child walk near the Ysalamir levitating a rock. As soon as she got near, Jaster knew he was on the right track.

Jaster had been working for over a week and little progress was made on the reasoning why the lizard was capable of stopping the force. The creature didn't null it, for if it did the clone child would not be able to use the force immediately after removing itself from the area. This whole thingt was very confusing.

Jaster decided to place brain scanners in the clone so he would be able to monitor the child as she closed in on the area marked off.

He placed himself near the scanner terminal and allowed the child to proceed closer to the area. She levitated the rock and then she passed the marked off area and the rock fell into her palm. Jaster recorded the whole thing on cameras and on the scanners themselves. He review all the data but nothing made a large enough mark to catch Jaster attention.

This was turning into a bigger pain then it needed to be.

The next set of test would be the understanding of their biology and what made them different from other Reptiles. At first Jaster could see without even touching it that is was larger then average lizards of their type. They also required a certain tree for their nutrients, so Jaster figured that it may be the tree that gave them a special powers to stop the force in a localized area. So the dicection of the creatures would be placed on the back burners as Jaster looked into the tree itself.

The Olbio Tree was a hassle to transplant off the planet and took 5 tries to keep it alive in transport. Jaster took the other dead trees and began a biopsy of every major portion of the tree. Nothing though was conclusive about the tree itself, but Jaster was able to figure out that in order to transplant a tree properly was to provide high levels of Nitrogen within the soul. These levels would kill most planets or make them grow 3 times as large. This was highly u useral for Jaster to see, but then again he was a Genetisist, trees were not his specialty.

Jaster just couldn't find a reason why the creatures needed to tree so badly that they couldn't live without it.

While conducting the exspeiment of extracting the Ysalamir from the Olbio tree, Jaster noticed that the cause of death was starvation and nutrition deficiency. He followed up this dicovery with how Ysalamir Cages were constructed and something was found.

Astonishing as it was, Jaster was slowly becoming more understanding of how the creature was affecting the force in only a small area. The tree itself was rich in both Vidamin D, as well as Phytochemicals, these were very odd to find in tree leafs and wood. Though it could explain why the Ysalamir needed to stay on the tree their whole lives. The Ysalamir were not very active creatures but used up an astonishing amount of energy that they required constant food. This was supplied by the trees leafs, and the Oldio tree was able to produce a constant supply of these leafs quickly. Soo quickly that it sometimes passed the need of the creatures population.

Jaster took note of this as well of the escalated levels of the Nitrogen in the soil. Both were weird for even some of the dense populated tree planets, he would have to continue his research to figure this out.

Jaster decided to do a biopsy on a dead Ysalamir. It was a gamble as he only had a select fe of these creatures and all of them were very valuable. Yet Jaster couldn't let them be outside the reach of his knowlage and he was just too courious. He took the sacrafice and began to biopsy every part of the creature and begin testing all he could. There must be something that the creature was hiding and he would find it.

He began to dissect the lizard and found the exterior shell was acturaly quite soft compared to other lizard life forms. This may have been to the decrease of capable predators and their evolution became complacent after generations. He then skinned the animal and placed the leathery armor in a sample bag and placed aside.

Next was the extraction of the brain and spin for medical analysis and compare it to other lizard life forms and even small sentient beings. Then came the biopsy of blood and muscle tissue for comparison to their nutrition intake for elimination. Next was the organs, and the lungs, heart, stomach, and liver for any change compared to another that was starved and dissected. Jaster was now enveloped in his work.

Jaster found something that he really couldn't explain, and yet didn't seem normal in the physiology of the over grown lizard. He noticed that the creatures frontal lobe was oddly above normal then that of a primitive creature. Many planets Jaster studied with underdeveloped sentient life seem to have slightly larger brain activity and yet these creatures didn't use it for communication of such. Jaster also noticed that as the creature died of starvation and nutrient deficiency, the brain was the last to die. This was not really uncommon in animals that were preyed on, eveileved to die thinking of a way out. Yet it still didn't explain why it's brain was so large and yet still acted as an animal, it should have been wondering the early stages of evelitionary development.

Jaster would have to look deeper into this conundrum.

There was soo much that Jaster didn't understand about the Force. All he knew was they were something to fear and it requires long training. He was a soldier so he knew that anything and everything requires training, but to be trained from childhood, this was something different. It wasn't like any weapon he knew of, and yet it was nothing like learning to walk. Jaster then just understood it as something that requires the brains development, thus the brain was the only way to control the force. He would have to strap the Ysalamir to brain scanners and constant observation for over 72 hours. After that he would have to determine what was causing the creatures bazar behavior.

Weeks of studing what was different from the creatures brain patters he realized that they had high levels of Alpha Brain Activity. This was active when the brain was relaxed or in use of the bodies. This showed that the Ysalamir body was constantly in motion as if it was reacting to a constant force around them. Jaster only theorized that this was because the lizard was constantly repelling the force that was in everything.

After further test, Jaster knew that it was kind of protien or chemical within the creatures other organs that were unconsciously controlled by the brain. This of course was a wide range of organs and tissues. Big names included the respiratory system, circulatory system, and some parts of the muscles tissue and the nervous system. He would have to check each one and check for chemicals or proteins of unknown origin.

Jasters first area to check was the respatory system as it was the easiest to check. This would requires a special scanner spacificly to pick up the elemental properties within the lungs and throat. This would show the broken down proteins that were there and then proceed to connect to created chemical compounds that seemed similar to normal living organisms.

There seemed to be no problem with the lungs or thought, though the toung of the creature did have amazing adhesive abilities. This had nothing to do other then assist with eating the trees leaves and possibly help with digestion. The sticky substance has a slight elevation of acid within it, nothing to penetrate skin, but good for quick extraction of nutrition.

He continued his search within the other parts of the dead creature.

Next was the muscle tissue, though he was sure he wouldn't find much. The creatures lived a solitary life with never leaving their tree unless they needed to find another nutrition sources after the tree dies. He began to cut through as much of the muscle as he could without damaging other parts he needed to study. Of course he only had a few hours before the speciment began to rot and everything began to become useless.

After he studied the muscles he realized there was nothing to see, the body barely had enough fat to keep the creature from freezing to death. That however was odd, the creature should have carried more fat from all the nutrients he absorbed, without moving much, it should have turned into fat. Yet their was not enough fat or muscles to explain it, that meant the nutritional substants were being used at a very quick rate.

But how?

Next came the blood of the creature, the heart of the creature was also used by the Alpha Waves in the brain. This it needed to be checked out as well. The body of the creature he was working on was beginning to decompose and so Jaster needed to speed his work so as to study the heart and blood samples without contamination.

He got the heart under a scanner and found nothing that would seem much diffrent from that of any other Lizard creature. It seemed normal by all standards and the only difference was that it had high levels of unknown bacteria, this of course peaked Jasters curiosity. So he looked into the blood, there he found the same unknown bacteria that was in the heart. Jaster only labels it a bacteria because it didn't carry any distinct organic cell characteristics, yet it seemed to release some kind of chemical into the blood stream. Jaster would have to wait for a chemical break up of the object before making any true assumptions.

Waiting was not Jasters forte.

Jaster got the chemical break down back from the chemicals lab of the Umbrella Interest. The pheromones that the bacteria or organic cell was releasing was nothing ever recorded before. It was a large levels of Hydrogen and Nytrogen with low levels of Carbon, it was truely amazing that an organic cell could create this. Jaster was truely studing something amazing, and that was when he noticed it.

The organic cell was not a cell as all, it was a organic compressed pollen. It must have come from the tree leaves that carried large levels of nitrogen and hydrogen. The creature used the nutrients and carbon to compress the pollen and chemical bonding would ensue. It would then combine what was left of the carbon with Hydrogen left over from creating water, and the Nytrogen from the fertilizer. It then created the pheromone that extracted from the blood and into the tung.

That was why the tung was so sticky, all the extra liquified gas didn't leave the tung. Almost like bad breath from all the bacteria in one mouth, the compressed pollen was meant to act acidic and assist with digesting the tree leaves. The unknown effect however was that it acted as a jammer in the ability to connect with the force.

Jaster now had the ability to construct a chemical compound to interfere with force users connecting with the force. The Chemiclad Compound was still under heavy development, but he knew it worked on force users.

There was no chemical compound like this in the galaxy, it didn't effect the brain of disorientated the inhaler. Though somehow when the chemical was turned from a liquid into a gas, and was inhaled the user was unable to connect to the force. Jaster assumed that the compound would be absorbed into the blood stream through the lungs and act as a jammer. He figured that there was some reason for force user able to use the magical power called the force, and he knew it was biological. He however did not know enough about it to make a definitive answer, but one day he would know why this chemical affected force user and how.

Now that Jaster had the chemical compound in its most basic form, he was able to create the liquid in mass production. The only question now was where could he place the secure lab. The lab would have to be constructed in a posistion away from any one nation. If this chemical compound fell Into the wrong hands then it would be used to create a weapon. Jaster didn't want that, but he wanted to control the outflow of this compound. The profit alone from this chemical would stabilize his run alliance of comanies for decades to come. He would however need to mask the compound so it would no be able to be reverse engineered without the right tools.

The radius of the effect of the company was acturaly 30 meters in all directions in the open air with no winds. In a enclosed room it could fill up a 60 by 60 meter room and effect all those within in 5 minutes with no assistance of spread. With the adative of extra wieght chemicals the radius was reduced to 23 meters open environment and fill a 30 by 30 meter room with no assistance. This would help as if the chemical was created in the normal way it would create a bomb and destroy any facility that tried to replicate it. Jaster was no chemist, but he paid top credit for the ones he hired.

As for the new chemical factory, Jaster decided he would build it on the planet Val'hala, his companies and alliance Head Quarters. A safe place considering it was building a massive space port and based his own private police force. It would be guarded under the highest security and the facility would base the largest amount of guards.

The facility itself would be constructed to mass produce the chemical compound and the cargo area where the chemical was stored would be placed 100 meters underground. The walls created from an old Phriks mine that still contained some of the ores. With only one way in or out it would be considered the great vault of the Conglomerate, only to hold this chemical compound that was labels "Green Smoke".

It was given the name green smoke by some of the interns that worked on the project because the blue liquid when headed turned into green smoke. It was an anomaly the none of the scientist could truely explain, though they expected it was because of the burning of nitrogen that turns green when light.

There was still so much to do before releasing the Chemical into full production, the facility was done, and the security was put together. The machines though we're still being put in. The chemical factory to create this spacific compound was to be the utmost held secrete within the Conglomerate, many of the Umbrella High Employees didn't even know about its production.

This compound was to be mass produced and yet still only sold to those of special circumstances. The best of the best for Jasters patrons.

Jaster was determined to find the cause of this chemical compounds ability to stop the force from happening. Jasters first batch of the blue liquid showed just how strong the power was, as the odor of the compound was strong. A thick must filled the air, though it was not an odor of disgust, it was just a sting stinging odor. It smelled of flowers, in a small dose was quite nice, but a whole batch could cause an overload of the senses and cause the participant to feel shivers down the spine.

Once placed over an open flame or heated device the object the blue liquid turned into a faint green gas. The green gas mixed with the open air and would then camouflage and become unnoticeable. The scale of the reach of the gass was truely astonishing as a force capable clone was effected 23 meters away. This continues testing of the chemical was used in the clone and then scanned many times over until Jaster truely understood what was happening.

That's when he found it.

Jaster found the organism that controlled the force that acted as a parasite and required the host to continue its living cycle. Jaster still did not understand or have a name for this bacterial parasite, but it did not cause harm to the host.

The gass that was created when the liquids chemical was heated, seemed to coat itself around the organism. It would enter through the respiratory system and into the blood stream. From there the gas was changed back into a liquids and act as a coating and encase the parasite in a host, thus it stopped the intercommunications between the host and the organism within. This somehow stopped the force user from connecting to the force.

In simpler terms the gas acted as a jammer, and the parasite and the host were two radio operators. The gass or jammer would stop communication by placing something between the two radio operators. Though both operators were still in the grand scale of things still in the plain of exsitance, they were unable to communicate. This was the effect of Jasters Chemical, Ammonium Carbonate Hydroelectric, a very dangerous, yet strategic chemical.

The production of the Chemical was now in full swing.

The factory was now operating at 100% efficacy.

The plans of the compound were destroyed and all original scientist were locked away in the factory.

Jaster was now sitting at his corporate headquarters in the Conglomerate Trade Plaza, he was enjoying the view of the wonderful city. He planned to sell the product as a unique rare item, but behind closed doors Jaster carried it in full mass production capacity. This new supply of chemicals were able to make a single soldier stronger then a force user, that was a strategic advantage alone. This he wanted it to be monitored and used to blackmail other nations into keeping his neutrality. This was Jaster ace up his sleeve, and he was going to hold his card close to his chest.

Jaster had a evil smile on his face.
