H O R A

Walking down the street in simple clothing. A hat on my head, my hair pulled up in a tie, and a jacket to cover my left arm. A child ran past me trying to catch up to mom. I smiled lightly as his longer hair flowed behind him like mine. A toy gun in his hands as he was yelling out.

"Go, go, go!"

After catching up to his mother, he splayed his hands on her rear and tried to push her faster than the saunter she was currently at. She was chuckling and pushed against the child. Making him push harder. Turning around, she swooped him up off the ground and laughed with him. I smiled lightly as I had a flash to my childhood.

My mother holding me in her arms as I was sick. Before all of this. Before... me. Her hair hanging over my head as she swooned me as though I were a baby. Telling me it's all gonna be okay. She opened her mouth to speak, only for me to hear a vehicle horn. I snapped out of it as a man was almost running me over. I jumped back out of the street in a second to avoid being hit. Giving me the finger and going on his own day, I shook my head.

*Most infamous assassin on Hora dies from being ran over*

As the walksign turned green, I took my paces forward. A speeder was being work on in a shop. One that my mother had. To be correct, it was the same model. As the man was starting it up, I was thinking about how my life had been. The speeder backfired, and instantly, I ducked.

I sprang into action. Drawing my blaster and holding it out as though there was a warzone right here. I could hear screams of people yelling.

"He's got a gun!"
"Get inside!"
"Get down!"

All while I was looking for the person who had been shooting. It was then, I realized that the backfire, was just that. A backfire. Not a gunshot. Not an explosive device. Putting my gun away, My hand went up to my forehead. Wiping away the sweat. I tried to wave everyone away.

"Sorry. I just..."

It was then, the child who held the toy gun walked up to me. His thick brown hair reflecting the sun just right to look as though he was a heavenly being. His hand reached up to my own, and he grabbed my hand.

"It's okay. It's okay to be scared."

Smiling, I leaned down. Getting onto one knee to look the young boy in his eyes. Removing my hat, I placed it on his head. The dull worn hat slid down over his face as I adjusted it. Nodding my head, I agreed with him.

"It's okay."

The child stood before me. He was holding his little gun. The background changed behind him. The sidewalk changing into mud. The mud sprayed everywhere as soldiers were running at one another with lightsabers in hand. I could see them cutting down one another. Breaking each other on the others will to live and fight another second upon the field. The child reached out and grabbed my hand. Taking me further into the fray. Passing by men and women who killed brothers and sisters. Yelling, crying, and cheering as they slaughtered one another. I watched as the boy pointed to a man. Cradling another person. Walking around, I could see the mans hair. Coated in the blood of many, and in his arms was a woman. His chest shaking and jerking from crying. Kneeling down, I could hardly see the woman's face in all the gore.

The man looked up, and yelled into the sky. His rage fueling him.

I saw myself.

I saw the first time I used the force in such a way that could only be called as my beginning. I had fought so many that day. Slaughtered them all. My red lightsaber flew through the air. Slashing at anything that came my way. Finally falling to a lightsaber blow across my back. Slicing me up as one of my own comrades stopped me from killing others. I can remember the pain I felt. Losing Her.

As I lay on the ground, I looked up to the sky. Before I sat upright in my bed.

My left arm was gripping my bed frame so hard I had crushed the wood with my grasp. The wood was in splinters as I shook my head. Waking up to this was not good. At the door, I saw Thalia. She was standing there in her night gown with her lightsaber in hand. Ready to defend herself if need be. Letting my head fall to my chest, I ran my hand through my hair. I stood up and she instantly backed up.

"It's okay. I'm not mad... Just... just a dream."

Thalia didn't back down though. She was ready. She knew how powerful I was. She hadn't seen all of my strength, but could see I held back a lot when it came to our duels. I backed up, and went into the bathroom. Turning on the faucet and filled a cup about halfway up before taking a drink. I hated my Night Terrors.

I wanted them to stop.
