The dusty and sandy planet of Korriban, a dark nexus of force energy and a focus point for the Dark Side. It was here that the Lord of the Fringe had found himself after the ceremony that granted him the rights to the title of Master. He was not sure what he thought about that, few felt ready when their time came and it was the same for the Lord. If it had been up to him, he would have spent more time in training, learning and mastering more. But his Empress had decided that he was ready and he lived to serve her will. At least that had been the case until the mantle of the master was put upon him, after that he had decided the time had come to see some more of the galaxy. To find out where he stood in the world, after all he was but twenty-two years old and the only place he had ever really explored were the Understreets of Coruscant. But now he had been given leave of absence, the Fringe was in the caring hands of the only three people he had ever trusted in his short life and no other duties called to him besides that.

Traveling through space he could feel a force beckoning him, it was the ever-present allure of the Dark Side. It was known to seduce even the strongest person, but Jared had been able to withstand its beauty for a long time now. Only now did he realize how close he had been to complete annihilation before his Master had rescued him from the clutches of despair and anger. It was one thing to immerse yourself in the Darkside of the Force, it was another one to become a thrall of it. Years had been spent in servitude to his stomach and other basic urges, but he would not allow himself to go back to that. But still.. Korriban had pulled him in, like a little moth flying around a source of light. He would have to tread carefully, learn what is possible and the most important thing was to stay in control.

His shuttle landed safely in the port of Korriban, he stepped out of it and took in the smell of corruption and decadence. Then he studied his surroundings, where would he go first?

Kära made her way through the dusty halls of Korriban, overseeing numerous Initiates, Acolytes and Apprentices running this way and that to coury favour with one Sith or another, shooting malicious glares at one another and wishing dearly they could kill them where they stood. They couldn't, of course, it wasn't allowed for one to openly kill another where students were concerned, but they had their way of doing so without getting caught. And who are we to stop their intuition? So long as they stayed away from the younger Initiates, like Sin and Xavier, children who could not defend themselves, Kära did not care. There comes a time when one must learn to defend oneself.

"Lady Vi'dreya, a ship just arrived, unmarked." With a nod of her head the informant was dispatched while Kära turned her attention through the corridor to the rarely-closed door of the academy. Without word she set off, and a handful of her Shadow Guard slinked after her, close enough to protect should the need arise yet just far enough that they did not intrude upon their Master.

A feint smile was playing on Jared's face as he moved through the Port of Korriban, agents had already been dispatched to watch and report about him. They were not very subtle, clearly amateurs or might be they did not care if he knew about them. He wondered what that meant, might be they served a powerful Master. Or might be that said Master was filled with Hubris.. regardless he would probably find out sooner or later. Jared's intelligence suggested that there had been a power shift quite recently, after some upstart Knight had taken over the Temple with some outside help there was a new player in town. Little was known about him, not that Jared had cared much about it before. Korriban had been too far away to be of interest to him, but he still cursed himself for not coming more prepared. The Force had guided him here and in his lust for knowledge all preparations had been abandoned.

He was being escorted by a couple of his trusty soldiers, his ever loyal and staunch protector Gavin and a couple of clones from Soledad. Not that he expected to have need of them and besides, in a real fight he would only count on himself. But backup could mean the difference between getting yourself killed and coming out victorious. That he had learned the hard-way after his departure from the Understreets.

Then he decided it would be best to pay a visit to the Academy, might be the new Ruler would appreciate some common courtesy. If anything, Jared would love not getting hit by lightning bolt to the ass.

Her footfalls led her to the stone entrance of the Academy, where she had a nice view out over the various landing sites and yet more students going about their business. Her lips pressed into a tight line as she picked up on a very foreign presence in the Force, one which was not quite corrupted enough to fit in with the likes of the power seeking egomaniacs this planet seemed to house. She loathed them all, but her duty as a Sith Lady meant she had to deal with such... For now, at least.

When a servant passed her by she halted him. "See to it that one of the undervaults are seen to, befit to host a guest. And ensure that something is ready for when we sit down for dinner." Without awaiting acknowledgement she stepped down the stairs, her eyes trailing over the landscape. Whoever it was she would greet in person... If only to gauge their true intentions.
