Location: The surface of a small forest planet, somewhere on the outer edges of the Galaxy.
General Xalax stood on a rocky outcropping. He was watching as a blazing, purple inferno consumed the blue and green forest below. The night sky above provided a view of one of the Galaxy’s celestial “arms”. It was an eerily beautiful sight, but Xalax was not programmed to appreciate beauty. To him, this was simply one more world to wipe out in his mission to assert the superiority of droids.
The fire was the work of Xalax’s B-1 battle droids, who had been fireproofed for this task. The fire’s unusual color was a byproduct of the planet’s atmosphere. By Xalax’s calculations, the fire would consume most of the life on the planet in around 2 months. Even after it had burned out though, there would more than likely be some stragglers left behind whom he would need to kill.
Xalax’s orbital scan of the planet had indicated that it was only inhabited by plant life, and a few animals. However, unbeknownst to him, there was at least one sentient life form on the planet.
