The Door

Wild space - Uncartographed Region

It took Abyss some time to decipher the hints Darth Aenigma left behind in form of scribbles inside the book of the dark lord that he obtained on Umbara. To hide his knowledge the dark lord created a language just for himself a mixture of Sith, Basic and any other language Abyss could think of. Only with the help of several books and lexicas the acolyte was able to translate the words, only to once again find a elaborate riddle that would lead him further on the path to Aenigmas grave. Instead of numbers, the dark lord marked the location with the names of different important battles of the galaxy's history. Neither dates nor the numbers of people fallen made sense as coordinates and only after Abyss read trough several historic works on the battles he realized that all battles had one thing in common: The number of jedis killed in them were exactly known to the universe.

The object in front of him was enormous. A giant pyramid floating in the vacuum, a combination of sith temple and space station. There was no doubt that this was the place the writings of the dark lord lead to. The stolen ship Abyss was piloting slowly moved towards the entrance of the temple, a giant door embed on the lowest point of the pyramid, with a small landing strip in front of it. With a look on the ships sensors the acolyte notes that there was a breathable atmosphere shrouding the temple. As the ship opens a dark, hooded figure steps out on the cold metal that stayed untouched in the last millennia of the galaxy. He could feel the darkness that pulsated trough every part of the space station, old and unsettling even to a sith. Abyss slowly steps towards the door, noticing the giant words engraved in it.

"the gate to eternity, will not open forcefully"

Was written in giant letters, the words once again translate in the weird mixture of languages the dark lord used. With raised hands Abyss summoned the power of the dark side inside himself, focusing on his passion to unleash a blast of telekinetic energy to push open the door. He felt the power leaving his body, crashing into the door that did not move one bit. Instead the engravings start to glow in a dark red, emitting a flow of dark energy. Suddenly the air around him gets thinner and thinner, making breathing harder with any second gone by. Powered by the dark side, the acolytes runs towards his ship, entering the safe metal construct only moments before all breathable air was gone. With anger building up inside his mind Abyss watched the door from the window of the ship, unsure what to do next. Out in the void of space Abyss could feel several presences manifesting themselves around his ship. He watched in terror a Starweirds appeared from nothing around his ship, ripping the engine apart. He was doomed. His last chance was a distress signal. But who should hear it, so far away from the known galaxy?

As Xiarr explored Wild Space,he could hear a beep coming from right in front of him,he looked down on his monitor to see a distress signal. It wasn't coming from a planet,rather it was coming from a pocket of space. It was odd,but it most likely came from a ship that was damaged. The Ancient Outsider then jumped into hyperspace,following the distress signal. As the Outsider approached the signal he was somehow picking up life forms while in hyperspace,Xiarr had no idea what this meant,but he would find out soon enough...

When Xiarr finally exited hyperspace he saw a Sith Pyramid floating in space,an odd sight indeed. But what was more worry some that a ship was being attacked by Starweirds,a creature only found in space. Xiarr opened fire on the odd creatures,crushing most of them with ease,the others would flee the area,wandering further into Wild Space. Xiarr looked out of his cockpit to see the heavily damaged ship,it's engines were torn off and weapons rendered useless. What would anyone be doing out here,so far in uncharted space?

With the starweirds gone, the breathable air around the pyramid returned, or at least his ships remaining sensors told him as much. He was both happy and surprised to be alive, and he thanked the force that it decided that it was not his time to die yet. Still the young acolyte had absolutely now idea who his savior was. Maybe whatever came to kill the starweirds was even worse, as it was already strange to find another living being this far outside of the common sectors. The hooded figure once again stepped out of ship, after blasting open the jammed door with the force. After not dieing on a lack of oxygen Abyss was sure that the air actually returned. He looked in the sky for the ship that saved him, while his mind already begun to work on another solution the open the still locked gate that kept him from entering the temple.

Xiarr landed The Ancient Outsider right next to this other person ship,wherever he landed it seemed to be a hanger bay of sorts. He then sensed that whoever this person was,was a darksider,he might have made a mistake of saving this person,but it was too late to leave this darksider for dead. Xiarr exited the cockpit and lowered the landing ramp of the old Defender Class Corvette. He then walked down the ramp to greet the darksider. But looking at the darksider,he could tell that he was no sith,only an acolyte. The acolyte was looking at a gate that had some sort of language written on it. "Hello,I am Xiarr Sair,how might you be?"

His ship was damaged, critically. He was lost, at most. Vigorously trying to maneuver his ship to safety, eventually his companion and personal droid would speak up. "Sir, I recommend a crash landing." Retelii looked at him and gave stern frown. Before he would yank the steering joystick backwards, then to the side noticing this anomaly. He didn't care what it was. He had to land, and fast.

Trying his best, not to cause his own certain death. He would steer the ship into a crash landing, coming down in a ball of flames, smacking the surface and drifting a long it. Stopping a few meters before the other ships. A long sigh of relief would leave the Rattataki's mouth before he would walk to the back of his ship, and slam the ramp down. Treading down it carefully, he would stare at the two for a few moments. Eyeing them carefully. Before, making his way to them he analyzed them. Maybe they could help them, or he could help them.

"Sorry... for the abrupt landing." He would spit out, eyeing the two intently.

Xiarr would hear screeching and banging,he then looked behind him to see a ship crash landing,he also sensed that the pilot was a darksider,well ain't that a kick in the head. A Rattaki would walk out of the ship and apologise for the landing."Well,we got two darksiders and one grey,what could go wrong?" Xiarr said sarcastically,but a part of him did wonder what would happen,but the two seemed friendly for the most part.

Abyss just gave both a very long look, unable to talk. Meeting one other being out here was already highly unlikely, but two just randomly appearing ... Was impossible. Or rather it was impossible as long it wasn't the forces will, what meant that again the crypt he was about to enter wasn't just meant for him. He recognized [member="Retelii Feverun"], as another student at the academy that he had seen but not spoken to before. The other one he had no idea who he was besides the few things he had stated in the few sentences that were shared between the three. In the end it would not matter who they were, only if they would prove useful in uncovering the secrets left behind by the dark lord, like the Jensaarai that helped him to find the secrets of the first crypt he had discovered. Still wordless he turned to the door. None of them should be able to read the words written on it as Aenigma had created a complex language for his riddles and Abyss only had begun to really understand it.

"Sith, Grey one ... This is the grave of a dark lord, so if you want to survive you need to listen to my words closely."

[member="Xiarr Sair"]

Would release a grunt. Interlocking his fingers and holding them at stomach level. "Well do, go on." He said in a rarely enthusiastic tone of voice. Taking a step closer to the two, with the embers of his ship still rising. He remained motionless from their out, awaiting the man's speech. He would continue to analyze the two, checking their vital conditions with a bat of eyelash. He was the healer, it was what he did best after all.

"Darth Aenigma was master of the more ... obscure arts of the dark side and his crypts are filled with trap and riddles that can end deadly to those to weak or to naive to decipher them."

He slowly walked towards the gigantic gate, until his hands could reach the cold, ancient metal. He turned aroud so the two others could see him talk, as he continued his explanation.

"The words on written here say "The door to eternity will not open forcefully. In my foolish attempt to open it with the force I activated a trap that almost killed me. Yet I am not entirely sure who to open it."

Abyss had already an idea what the answer could be but he would rather hear from the other two before risking his live again by activating another trap.

Xiarr would study the gate,surprisingly the acolyte knew the strange language written on the gate and Xiarr had never heard of Darth Aenigma,must have been some obscure sith lord. Xiarr looked at [member="Abyss"] and said,"So is there some sort of artifact or treasure at the end of this trap infested hellhole?"
[member="Retelii Feverun"]

"I do not know. I can not say that I can understand the way the dark lords mind operated. Maybe he has hidden something of power inside, maybe only death ... But I had to travel far to find this place and I will uncover whatever is hidden inside, with or without your help"

Finding the map to this place had almost cost his life, as had traveling here. Abyss was sure that the temple did hold some kind of power inside, but he couldn't say if it would be an relic of the past or just knowledge that would lead him further, And to him it did not matter, knowledge had as much worth for him than any artifact the he could find inside the crypt.

He would watch the two converse before eventually speaking up. "I mean I'm not in the position to choose." Then pointing over his shoulder with his thumb, to his still burning wreck of a ship. Making his way forward to gate, eyeing with his frost white eyes. "So, no ideas?" He spoke softly, before taking out his right hand and placing it a few inches before the gate.

Push it physical strength? No, that couldn't be it. Telekinesis maybe? No, that sign said it wasn't that. "Who to open it?" He would repeat the sign. "What does that mean?" Before withdrawing his hand and looking to the other two.

[member="Abyss"] | [member="Xiarr Sair"]

"There has to be some sort of key,it's obvious that we can't use the force to open this gate." Xiarr would then begin to pace around the two darksiders,if there wasn't a key then he had no idea how they could open the gate. He eyed the burning ship that belonged to one of the darksiders,it looked to be beyond repair,as a matter of fact,Xiarr couldn't even make out what type of ship it was. "There at least have to be some sort of clue,if not I have no idea how to solve this enigma."

Abyss looked at the door, trying to find the solution of the riddld he was asked. His thoughts shoot trough his head like small lightings between the engines of a podracer. The last time the riddle to open Aenigmas crypt had been so ridiculous simple that he had almost overlooked it. It was so mundane and obvious that he was convinced that it it was the wrong answer. Maybs this time it we be the same ... it wouldn't be the first pattern that he noted about darth aenigma

"Not forcefully."

Abyss moved his hand to the door, only slight touching it with not enough force even to push open a wooden door. As his fingers slowly moved forward he realized that it was working, the door opend with every inch he was moving. It take a minute or two to completely open it, but the fact that it opened at all was everything that matterd.

[member="Xiarr Sair"] [member="Retelii Feverun"]

Tilting his head to the side, before slowly shaking it. "Hm, know I understand what kind of person put this place together." Watching the gate open, with peeled eyes. He would rarely look back to his burning wreck of a ship, before re-concentrating. Clapping his hands together, he would beckon them forwards.

"Let's go." He said, in a fastened tone. Almost as if he felt uneasy, for some reason. Nevertheless, he would follow them in with long strides between his feet, eyeing the insides carefully.

[member="Abyss"] | [member="Xiarr Sair"]

One of the darksiders tried to open the door,but instead of using a force push or anything of force,he was using the force in an almost gentle way. After a couple of minutes,the door finally opened. "The answer was right under our nose the entire time,interesting." Xiarr then activated his lightsaber and went further into the temple.

Abyss moved forwards, pushing the door completely open. Inside of the pyramid he was greeted by complete darkness, and even after he activated his lightsaber he couldn't see anything but the ground around him. After the last one of the group entered the strange building, Abyss could hear the door behind him close with a loud noise. From far away a voice appeared, the same he had heard in the last temple he had entered:

"Seekers of truth? Here? That means that my secret was uncovered. Bravo to you. I am very saddened to tell you that your search was a mistake. The only thing that you will find hear is death."

Suddenly lights inside the building turned own, showing over a dozen door, unmarked and looking completely the same. The voice once again began to speak.

"There still might be chance. You just have to pick the right door. No riddle no reason. A game of pure luck."

The words were followed by a demonic laugh that echoed trough the force.
