For most people- Or well even most families in the galaxy, it wasn't often you got told that you actually have an aunt you have never met. Along with being told no doubt that she was not only part of the more eccentric part of the family, but perhaps one of the most strange of that already strange bunch. The house of Lutris, while far reaching in the power and wealth they held... Only ever mostly kept to themselves. The voice of the house and by far the one who socialized the most was Drazen Lutris Drazen Lutris while the others prefered the isolation of their labs.

One such a lab right under the robust and decedent Lutris manor would be the little hiding place of one Vakhari Lutris, the ever-so strange girl that had been making some waves with her creations as of late. Be they alchemical beasts, reliable yet quirky weapons, or her creation of a cure for the Imperial invasion of Brosi.

This place served as a womb of creation, a temple of thought. And today would be the day that it received a visitor, one of more note compared to the typical patients that came in to see the good doctor.

The entrance and waiting room seemed... Extremely clean for someone considered an eccentric woman of science, no strange smells, dangling tesla coils, nor anything really that went with the more common narrative given to the young Lutris.

If anything this place was uncomfortably sterile, to the point that you would be shocked to know people came in here often to see the doctor.

A droid was at the front desk, with its only care being that visitors followed the specific etiquette and arrived on time. Quinn wasn't entered as having an appointment, being offered a pad so she could type out and book an appointment... Thankfully for the princess however, Vakhari herself took control of the droid to speak through it.

"O-Oh! You have arrived so soon? Come on in! I got fresh coffee!"

The armored door to the lab hisses open, with several floating droids ready to escort Quinn to the correct room. The rather unwelcoming levels of cleanliness got worse now that she was inside the lab, everything was organized and polished to the point of unhealthy obsession. The air was far beyond the more musty and polluted filth outside, here it was perhaps the purist in the galaxy.

As Quinn was escorted by the little bots, some would follow behind her in both the air and ground- They- Well it seemed they cleaned the path she had walked?

Going through the sterile white halls, she would finally be at a room designated for eating. Getting to witness as a short girl garbed in white robes stumbled around the room, she seemed to be balancing several jars filled with... Something.

"Oh hells! Hello!"

She goes to wave, almost dropping her jars before catching them with the force, setting them aside she clears her throat.

"Hi- Hello! Quinn, right?"

For all the gossip about her ability, the strange doctor didn't seem very threatening at all. Petite, soft looking... Kinda squeaky in a way. And her signature in the force itself? Weak, it felt like what you would feel from some fresh acolyte.

"Not often I get this kind of visitor, mostly I get patients that come in... Or people wanting to learn under my wing. Which does remind me, one of my students, Jorryn Fordyce Jorryn Fordyce came in not too long ago. Very instant that I teach her, quite the character indeed."

She begins to dig around inside a fridge, taking out some leftovers made by Valaine Valentine Valaine Valentine since Vakhari herself couldn't cook worth a damn... Lucky indeed that her lover was a great cook. As for what the food is? She couldn't remember, but it sure tastes good.

Setting down two plates the girl would then take a seat, fresh coffee and good tasting food waited for Quinn.

"So, what brings you to my little slice of the world?"

Vakhari made no attempts to assert herself, if anything she was far more welcoming compared to the more typical meetings in the Order... Was this girl really even a Sith? Her attire wasn't that you would normally see, her demeanor was all too chipper. She was, if anything- Atypical.

Quinn knew little of her aunt. The woman was elusive and, as far as she knew, eccentric. Though the young Echani had grown up with the type of people her parents were, eccentric was merely the tip of the iceberg. It didn't worry her much; the beauty of individualism was that everyone was different. Quinn could appreciate that, and she looked forward to this meeting on Terminus.

The doctor's environment was immaculate. Quinn had thought she knew what "clean" meant, but she was proven wrong. She was surprised by the lab's automation and by how everything seemed so carefully controlled. Quinn smiled and allowed herself to be escorted around, though she did take notice that a droid was cleaning up after her footsteps.

The Princess questioned the cleanliness of her own shoes now. Quinn didn't get the chance to answer many of the initial questions about coffee, but she smiled and nodded — hoping that would be enough.

Finally, she met the woman considered her aunt — the youngest sibling, as she understood it, of Father and his brother. Seeing Vakhari and recalling the stature of her brothers was like night and day. The woman was small and, unlike her brothers, lacked the Force's presence.

Quinn raised a brow at the subtle signs of suppression. Much like her, it seemed her aunt preferred to appear weaker — appealing to others' egos and letting them underestimate her. Quinn mused over this and found the woman far more interesting.

She finally chuckled, able to speak now that everything had started to slow down around her.

"Yes, Quinn is perfect. I'm not a fan of titles between family," she said, emphasizing the last word — a gentle reminder of their relation. Her smile softened at the mention that Jorryn had made her way into the laboratory to meet the woman.

"Jorryn is quite insistent — much unlike her original, from what I've been told," Quinn observed the smaller woman's movements, then took her seat, following suit with the careful smile she typically wore when meeting strangers, despite the familial connection.

"With the changes in the Empire, I wanted to reach out to you — mostly because I haven't yet had the chance to meet the elusive Vakhari Lutris." She smiled and dropped a sugar cube into her coffee, adding a small splash of cream. As much as Quinn wanted to take another sugar cube, she resisted the temptation to indulge her sweet tooth too much.

"I've heard you've made some strides with your projects, and I'm curious to know, particularly, what you've been working on — and if possible, to see some of your best work."

She took a few careful bites of the food, and her eyebrows lifted in appreciation. "Mm, compliments to the chef who created these masterpieces." Quinn took another bite and hummed softly. "I'll have to visit more often if food like this is offered."

Vakhari didn't mind the emphasis, it wasn't often she got to meet family anyway... Most of the Lutris family was much like Vakhari... Too busy with their noses deep into a book or their minds so stuck on a project that they tended to ignore the world.

"Mm, compliments to the chef who created these masterpieces."

"That would be my lover's work, I can work wonders in a lab- But the kitchen? Not a chance, burnt every time."

She held no shame in admitting it, she just frankly sucked at cooking. But that is just what happens when either others just always cook for you, or you just eat premade meals so you could get right back to work.

"Well, I am glad to know that my creations are reaching more ears and minds. We are always working on something around here, can be just about anything really. We take requests, directives from the house, but mostly I just tend to- Wellll, let my mind wander. Get the creative juices flowing, ya know?"

The girl wasted no time in sipping down on her coffee, it was clear that caffeine and her held a close relationship.

"Projects projects projects... Hrmm.. Earlier today I had a quick and easy surgery to do, someone popular on the holonet. It wassss cosmetic, yes."

Another thing that was clear was that this petite creature really sucked at socializing.

"I have done a fair few things so far, from cybernetic augmentations, weapons, armor, alchemical spawns- Ah! There was also the vaccine I made for Brosi during that Imperial invasion. What sorts of things are you wanting to take a look at?"

It seemed there were many options on the table for Quinn to pick from, and a hyper fixated doctor who would gladly yap about any she picked.

Quinn nodded along, listening to the achievements of the Doctor. She was well-versed in several subjects and able to do whatever was needed.

Curious that the Empire never brought her forward more, maybe there was something she was missing. Tapping her lips lightly with a napkin, Quinn set the empty plate aside and placed the napkin beside it.

Her hands folded gently in her lap as she smiled. Quinn did her best to keep up; there was just so much, and she had several questions.

There was a concern, though. Quinn peered around and wondered if there was someone the Doctor answered to. Did she fall in line with other members of the science and research division? Or was the woman unchecked, nor held to a standard but her own?

Curious.

She didn't raise her concerns, not yet.

"Oh, the Brosi vaccine," Quinn smiled, remembering the documentation that had crossed her desk after the invasion concluded. They had pushed back the Imperials, but in the process, developments on the front of the situation emerged.

Having Brosi now capable of flourishing only helped the Empire in the end.

"I heard about your efforts, and the Governor has made wonderful strides with its aid, along with other means." It was true, Brosi was now nearly at full capacity, delivering what was necessary and needed from one of the Empire's holy worlds.

A hand rested under her chin as she pondered, "Was the vaccine something you had already been working on? Or was it a spur of the moment, a flash of genius?"

Quinn was curious about the methods and the means of the dear Doctor hidden away by House Lutris.

"Was the vaccine something you had already been working on? Or was it a spur of the moment, a flash of genius?"

"I wish it had been an already in the works project, if we had known before the strike the blow would have been softened. I happened to be on Brosi at the time, every so often I am requested on the various holy worlds to teach classes."

Her aunt was indeed working by her own standards, and dives into the house of Lutris would always show that their scientists were either heads of a project, or left alone. Perhaps it was due to their blood, or perhaps thanks to the work they did for many lords in the Sith... The creation of new bodies.

"I had set up an emergency clinic with some local medical staff to try and quickly figure out a solution, however the virus seemed beyond the standard. Each time I did make a vaccine it had already shifted, making my previous work nothing more than a light balm. What I needed was the key I did not own, so I waited."

She waited for enemy troops, there was no way they would drop into such a place without their own protection.

"The clinic was attached to a subway network, using the tools I still had I transformed it into a maze. Round by round Imperial troops entered, and round by round they perished. I needed them to make it through, otherwise the key wouldn't be right... I got my wish eventually, tricking a sergeant and his squad to brave the maze. By the time the remaining ones had made it out their bodies were perfect, and they had used their own supplied protection against the virus. Through my own traps and their supplied injection, they had unknowingly made perfect antibodies."

Vakhari of course needed a break, raising a finger as she needed a sip of her coffee.

"Mm, ah anyway. Their blood was collected, I made it into the first batch of vaccine. Then from there it was injected into the last living patient in my clinic, their body then became a new source of these antibodies."

It was through trickery and intelligence alone that she had managed to make that cure, and to this day she was proud of her efforts.
