  • Description: The Disciples of Odion are a Dark Side Cult and paramilitary organization dedicated to the service of Lord Odion, and his mission, the Charge Odion. A loose cabal of both Force Users and Non Force Users, the Disciples serve as the agents of Lord Odion throughout the galaxy; assassinations, assisting in rituals, and overseeing those who have come to pledge to the Sith Lord's banner. They are led by the Patriarch of Darkness, who himself holds supreme authority over the Disciples only overruled by Odion himself. Driven by the Nihilistic will of their master, the Disciples of Odion act as a dark, bloody hand in the wider galaxy.

  • Domain: Gtura iv Atmena, Naporar

  • Hierarchy:
    • At the top of the Disciples sits Lord Odion, the supreme authority and sovereign of the organization. His word is law for those within the cult, and the matter of life and death for each member hangs on his desires. He directs the external efforts of the cult; sending them on missions across the galaxy, assigning infiltration and assassination targets, and establishing the cults presence on all fronts.
    • Beneath Lord Odion is the Patriarch of Darkness, the chosen second in command of the cult. The Patriarch of Darkness is in charge of the internal affairs of the Disciples of Odion, and ensuring the behind the scenes details needed to carry out Lord Odion's orders happens. The Patriarch of Darkness is chosen through uncertain means, and the identity of the Patriarch is hidden behind a mask they never remove during their time in service.
    • Beneath the Patriarch are the Hands of Darkness, the individuals in charge of missions across the galaxy. They lead the teams on infiltration or assassination missions, oversee the construction and integration of outposts for the Disciples, and act as the lead elements on the ground.
    • The rank and file members of the Disciples fill in after the Hands of Darkness.
  • Membership: The Disciples of Odion number several tens thousand, most of whom are born into the cult itself. For those outside the cult seeking to join, they must undergo the Trial of Galleon; a mental invasion of their mind by full Disciples of Odion. The hopeful applicants mind is torn apart, as the Disciples search for any hidden agenda, treasonous thoughts, or moral and spiritual weakness within the individual. Should they survive the process, they will be nursed back to health, and inducted within the Disciples of Odion as a full member.
  • Climate: Internal politics and affairs in the Disciples of Odion focuses on commitment to ones tasks at all times. Outright execution and death of members within the Disciples is highly uncommon, but failure in an assigned task or hint of treason will earn the ultimate punishment. Advancement is earned through determination and accomplishment in ones duties and missions; a strict meritocracy rather than an idealistic state that promotes the most dedicated. On a theoretical level, the Disciples dedication and loyalty to the cult is already unquestioned.
  • Reputation: The Disciples of Odion are a newly formed organization, and as such lack much contact or recognition from the outside galaxy. What few individuals have encountered the Disciples of Odion see them as a fanatic death cult, more willing to sacrifice their own lives rather than fail in their mission.
  • Curios: The Disciples of Odion, in general, have no defining feature of physical appearance. Given their reliance on infiltration and covert operations, such devices and characteristics would be self defeating. However, a small trait has been added to all members of the Disciples. Under a certain light spectrum, their eyes will shift from their natural color to a dark red, something that happened to each member during the Trial of Galleon.
  • Rules: The Disciples of Odion follow their master's Rule of Darkness; the Sith belief Odion himself crafted after his encounter with Valery Noble on Devaron. While not as committed to this law as the full Sith who follow the Sith Lord, the Disciples base their personal desires and beliefs on this code. The Light Side must be fought, and destroyed on all fronts. Fear and pain are the true power of the Dark Side, and must be properly trained and harnessed. They ignore the third tenant of the Rule of Darkness, the belief that loyalty is a false belief does not work with the Disciples, as they are truly loyal to Lord Odion.
  • Goals: The Disciples of Odion seek to carry out the will of Lord Odion, and fulfill his grand ambition for the galaxy; the Charge Odion. Within this overarching goal they desire to establish their presence across the galaxy, and their reputation as a force of power. They desire to instill a new age of fear across the worlds of the civilized galaxy, and punish those who stand in their way, and the way of their master.

The Disciples of Odion trace their origins back to the first Lord Odion, during the Republic Dark Age. Following the death of Odion at his own hands and the machinations of his enemies, his most dedicated followers attempted to finish their masters goal. Rival Sith and Republic efforts saw the extermination of most of these remnants, driving the last survivors into exile within the Unknown Regions. There, they found a backwater world, and integrated with the local tribal populace. Overtime, their beliefs mixed with the barbaric practices of the natives, and a cult of mind formed. The teachings of Odion passed down over the generations, creating a fanatic drive within the descendants of his followers.

Lacking the ability to travel off their new homeworld, they instead focused on developing the society of the planet to such a state that when their master returned, as they believed he still lived to some extent, he would be pleased with their efforts. They carried on for hundreds of years, slowly expanding across their new world and converting all in their path to their cause, or exterminating them. It all came to an end when Odion Calimondra, the self proclaimed heir of the ancient Lord Odion, found them. At first hesitant, they set forth a series of tasks that their ancestors claimed only the true inheritor of Odion's will could complete.

For many months, the new Lord Odion risked his body and mind to carry out these trials. He survived the Trial of Galleon, and rather than dying, his mental strength saw the death of the elders carrying out the trial. He was directed to fight one hundred of the people's best warriors unarmed and bare of all clothing, and without touching the Force. He was severely wounded, but emerged the victor after twelve hours of endless combat. When he had recovered, he was sent into the deserts of their world without food or water, and told to retrieve the relic buried their by the ancient followers of Odion. A month later, draped in the skin of beasts he had slain on his journey, he returned with the lightsaber of Odion.

Almost a year to the day after he found the world and its people, the surviving elders swore their fealty and that of their people to the new Lord Odion. It was then that Lord Odion shared his vision and goals for the galaxy with the people, and while their fanatic devotion to his cause was clear, he stilled their enthusiasm. To the assembled elders, he told them that as he had been tested, so would they be tested to prove their ability to serve the coming Charge Odion. He told them that he had room in his ships for only ten thousand people.

Such was their fanatic devotion to the man who had completed the trials and fulfilled the prophecies that guided them for so long that a murderous frenzy descended across the world. During his time on the world, Lord Odion had slowly been weaving the Dark Side to create an air of increased emotion and anger. When the time came, this state of heightened emotion and fanatical devotion led many to take up arms against their friends and neighbors. Over the span of several weeks, the entire civilization of the world came crumbling down as a state of near civil war erupted. At the end of it, the world was left a devastated ruin, and the first Disciples of Odion were taken aboard the fleet in orbit. New Disciples would occasionally be recruited from the barbaric scavengers that still existed on the world, but the planet and its people had fulfilled their purpose in Lord Odion's plans.

The Disciples of Odion would be officially established after this event, and Lord Odion would begin the process of sending these agents of his out into the wider galaxy.
