Private The Diarchy Misfits in the Water Park

Aknoby watched the adults having fun and Rellik wrestling with the other man in the water and saw them playing.

He scratched his chin thoughtfully, looked around, jumped into the pool, swam to one of the floats, soaked it with water, and launched an attack, hitting both men.

"There can always be more opponents."

He said with a genuine smile

Small but strong… yes, now we're bonded just like Ian and me. You're close to me now."

Moony gently patted Ryoshu's head before stretching, her gaze drifting over the others.

She wandered toward the water's edge, peering down at her reflection. Dipping her fingers into the cool surface, she frowned something about it didn't sit right with her. With a flick of her wrist, she shook the droplets away and turned to find a chair. Settling in, she leaned back, quietly listening to the others as their voices filled the space around her.

Iandre hadn't had a lot of fun growing up. Waterparks, swimming for fun, and many other things were an unknown joy to her. As an adult, she now has the chance to experience so many new things. Besides Rellik and these different people, she was showing a smile, even if she was relatively quiet.

"You look stunning, Jayna."

Maybe it would help the young teen feel welcomed and a part of the family that was the Diarchy and Order. As she saw the other familiar faces of Saul and Lyssara, she waved at them. The woman with Lyssara wasn't known to Iandre, but she couldn't know everybody.

"Good to see you, Mooney. Are you going to go swimming or lie out in the sun?"

If they looked at her skin, even the parts that were usually covered in clothing or armor were mostly dark and looked tanned. It was an almost natural glow, and the sun overhead darkened her skin even more. She wasn't going to sunburn.

Looking at Aknoby when he spoke, she shook her head and shrugged her shoulders. That was when Rellik complimented her looks, and that smile grew larger. Her eyes traced his form and glinted slightly.

"You do as well, my Diarch."

Always wanting to lay claim to him in that way, if he ever asked her to stop saying that, she would. However, she didn't mean any harm with it, and she felt he enjoyed it as much as she did. Letting him talk, she was enjoying the day away from her duties and getting the chance to have fun.

Then Aknoby broke the silence and mentioned that adults were present.

"Don't worry, we won't bother you."

Allowing the conversation to happen between Saul and Rellik, she crossed her arms and leaned against one of the chairs while she waited. Blinking as a stranger (to her) comes running up behind Rellik with a large grin, she didn't stop him from his attack. There was no malice coming from him, and she didn't sense he intended to harm her love.

Laughing as Rellik turned the attack against Gavin, she watched as he tumbled them into the water and pulled over a couple of noodles. Shaking her head, she moved to sun herself on one of those chairs.

Ryoshu watched Mooney wander toward the water. The urge to follow rose before she could think — to give her a shove into the pool, climb onto her shoulders, and call it a battle. It would've been easy. Fun, maybe. But probably... not for Mooney. Probably awkward and Ryoshu didn't want to embarrass herself.

She exhaled through her nose and let the thought die where it started.

Instead, she moved to the row of chairs near the edge where Mooney had settled. Nyva Shei Nyva Shei was already there, the quiet hum of the crowd folding around them. Ryoshu dropped her towel onto the next chair and stretched out, the sun cutting across her skin.

Taking in the others she wondered if enough days out here in the sun she could get a tan like Iandre Athlea Iandre Athlea - maybe a bit later she would try to talk to her or she might come over to tan with the rest of them.

Saul gave him the best smile he could and nodded to Rellik before leaving to sit down in one of the pool chairs. Hopefully, none of the force users here would feel the effects of Isotope-5...

Stretching out in the beach chair as the others around got to know each other. He did raise his eyebrow as he watched the Diarch wrestle with someone he had never met. As Iandre sat down on her own chair, he would comment, cringing a bit as they both crashed into the water. "Ones... They are going to bump their heads on the concrete wall at this rate..." The last thing they needed was for their great leader to be put in the hospital needing stitches

Gavin’s laughter boomed across the courtyard as he grappled with Rellick, the sound of their playful struggle echoing off the poolside tiles. For a moment, he felt like a kid again, enjoying something simple and free from the weight of politics or training. But that moment didn’t last long. Rellick’s strength caught him off guard, and before Gavin could brace himself, the Diarch had shifted his balance with surprising precision. The world tilted for a split second, and Gavin’s feet left the ground.

The impact of his back hitting the water sent a great splash into the air, and for a moment he disappeared beneath the shimmering surface. Then, with a burst of motion, he shot upward, water streaming down his face and chest as sunlight struck his skin, glinting off the ripples that surrounded him. His laughter returned, full and unrestrained. It felt good to let go.

He snatched up his inflatable tube, an improvised weapon in hand, and lunged toward Rellick with a mock battle cry. The swing was meant to be playful, but Gavin’s natural power turned it into something a little excessive.

Before he could recover, something smacked him in the back. He spun sharply, eyes narrowing until they locked onto a Chiss boy he hadn’t met before. For a second, Gavin just stared, his expression unreadable. Gavin held the stare long enough to let the tension build, and then he spoke, his voice low and filled with mock menace.

"You dare strike me!?" he said, exaggerating his tone, trying to sound lighthearted but accidentally landing somewhere between jest and genuine authority. Gavin raised the tube high above his head and brought it down aiming at his head. He pulled this swing, not wanting their first interaction to be marked by Gavin trying to hurt him with a pool noodle.

The others by the pool had relaxed into their sunbathing, seemingly believing themselves safe from the chaos erupting in the water. Gavin’s grin widened. Not for long.

He turned his gaze on them, his dark eyes gleaming with mischief. Wading to the edge of the pool, he adjusted his imaginary hat like a gunslinger in an old holofilm and called out, "Ladies," with mock formality. He could almost feel Reign’s voice in the back of his mind telling him to behave. But this was one of those rare moments when even he allowed himself to act without restraint.

Drawing the Force into his muscles, Gavin bent his knees and leapt skyward. For a man of his size, it was an impressive sight. In midair, he tucked his legs up, grinning down at the unsuspecting sunbathers.

"CANNON BALL!" he roared before crashing down into the pool with a massive splash that sent a tidal wave of water cascading over the edge. For the first time in a long while, Gavin felt completely at ease. No battles. No politics. Just the sun, the water, and the rare feeling of belonging.

Aknooby looked at Gavin and raised an eyebrow, keeping his smile.

"It would be more fun if I wasn't used to being scolded by Laphisto.

He chuckled softly and looked at the older ones.

"Bomb?"

He saw the jump and the jump effect, looking at those who were sunbathing. Well, you don't have to be a Force user to know that some people got angry.

The Chiss looks at Rellik.

"Is this the moment when we just watch angry people go after him while we find the scene funny?"

He asks curiously, vaguely remembering something similar.

The first swing from Gavin's pool noodle caught him square across the shoulder, and Rellik couldn't help but laugh. The splash, the laughter, the ridiculousness of it all, it was infectious. He grabbed his own tube, dipped one end beneath the water, and let it fill. When Gavin turned his attention toward Aknoby, bellowing some mock challenge, Rellik raised the noodle like a rifle and gave the slightest flick of his hand. A burst of water shot out, guided by the Force, smacking the larger man square in the back of the head.

The animated cowboy animation Gavin dude told Rellik all he needed to know. Trouble! Gavin's answer was to leap high, sunlight flashing off the droplets that trailed behind him. "Cannonball!"

The wave hit hard, drenching everyone within reach. Rellik surfaced through the foam, wiping the water off his face with his hand all while still laughing.

He gave a quick look to Iandre Athlea Iandre Athlea to see how she handled it before returning to the pool when Aknoby spoke. "Normally, yes," Rellik replied, voice steady between chuckles. "But lets get our revenge!" he flicked a handful of water toward Aknoby with the force. He raised his noodle into the sky, gave a wololololololo! tongue out cry before charging back towards Gavin. "Attack together Aknoby! Avenge the non fighters!"

Knowing the water fight was going to spill over the side of the pool, she was able to cover her eyes from the splash Gavin caused. Not getting angry or even irritated, she wiped the water from her face and lay back in the damp chair. Let them have their fun.

"Yes, that is exactly what is supposed to happen. I'm not angry, though."

Smiling at Aknoby, she flicked some of the water in his direction. It didn't matter to her if it made it or not. Laughing and watching as Rellik and the teen went to avenge their dousing, she continued to relax.

This was a wonderful change of pace from duty, and Iandre was going to enjoy it as much as she could.

Aknoby receives all the water with a low laugh, looks at Rellik, and follows him.

"Revenge!"

He says in a loud, playful tone as he heads toward Gavin, and he jumps, obviously using an Ataru move but in a friendly way, using the noodle to hit Gavin with several quick, short attacks.

Serving more as a distraction for Rellik to attack, he hopes.

"Let's see how you fare against the two of us!"

he says, and with a splash he falls back into the water and continues to deliver quick attacks, but the water hinders his movement, and he huffs when he realizes how the water hinders the way he knows best how to use it.

The party is in full swing. The mistress has gone to see the others, so I decided to do the same. I got up from my seat to join the group, who are clearly in the middle of a water fight. Just as I arrive, a wave hits me head-on, drenching me completely. The water is cold, and I'm still not used to it. I roll my eyes, but it's no big deal.

As she greets everyone with a friendly wave, I bow politely to them, showing respect. Even if it's all in good fun, I can't help but act this way. I was trained to follow protocol and when you look at Lyssara, you can probably guess by whom.

I step into the water near the others and use my hands to splash Diarch Rellik Diarch Rellik , pushing forward to create a small wave not as strong as the one that hit me, but enough to splash him back.

"Allow me to join you."

Joining in the water fight, I start splashing freely, risking being targeted in return but that's part of the fun. I'm already soaked and standing in the water, so what do I have to lose?

Ryoshu had stayed quiet through the noise, the cannonball, the laughter, the shouts. Water sprayed across the chairs, a few stray droplets catching her skin, but she didn't move. Just watched from behind her sunglasses.

She turned her head slightly toward Saul, who'd been pretending to sleep under his sunglasses. "You picked the right spot," she said, voice low. "Far enough away not to drown"

Deciding to pick up her gear she moved over to the man.

towel draped over her shoulder and sandals dangling from one hand. The chair beside him creaked softly as she dropped into it, setting her things down without a word.

For a few seconds, she just sat there quiet except for the sound of water hitting tile. Then, without looking his way, she added, "You look like someone pretending to rest."

She shifted her sunglasses down just enough to glance at him over the rim. "Not your kind of thing? Going to water parks?"

Tipping his sunglasses down, Saul looked over at the black-haired young woman with red eyes, sporting a half-grin as chaos reigned around them. "I have a talent for blending into the background." As she plopped down, he tried to remember if he had seen the woman before. She had to be connected to the Diarchy somehow to be let into this event, and yet he had never crossed paths with her before. Well, the Cyborg guessed he was going to meet whoever this was now.

When she commented on him not liking waterparks, he pulled the skin on his arms back to show her the mechanical components. "Let's just say the last thing we need is me shocking everyone." The statement wasn't wrong per se; he wasn't lying about shocking people, there was just the possibility he would shock people out of the water with his abilities. Either way, he changed the subject back to what he was wondering. "So... What's your name? You clearly work for the state if you are here for this group. If I were to guess... maybe intelligence?" She didn't seem like the soldier type to him, too slim and wiry. Then again, so was he, so who knows. Either way, Saul was eager to hear the answer.

Moony glanced up at Ian, her arms folded over her chest.

"Laying in the sun, I see no reason to be in the water… but…"

She sighed softly, her gaze drifting toward Ryoshu, who was staring at the surface of the water. Then at others

"Maybe the small one wants that kind of enjoyment, Ian. She looks… sad, or maybe just bored," Moony murmured.

Before Ian could respond, a sudden shout cut through the calm—

"Cannonball!"

Moony barely had time to turn before a huge splash drenched her from head to toe. Water dripped from her hair and tail as she blinked in disbelief, then let out a low, unamused growl.

"Revenge?" she said, a suggestion made from the others, a slow smirk tugging at her lips. "I almost like the sound of that."

Ryoshu tilted her head a little as he pulled back the skin from his arm. The faint glint of machinery caught the sunlight, and for a heartbeat her expression slightly surprised.

"Oh"

She settled back into her chair again, arms folding loosely across her stomach, eyes still hidden behind the dark lenses. At his question, a small smile tugged at one corner of her mouth. "Intelligence? Nah." A beat between words. "I am a Chancellor or culture and princess of the world Paradisum so I ammmm an envoy... I guess."

Sitting there looking to enjoy her tan she made a quick realization and blurted out.

"Ryoshu... Ryoshu is my name." As quickly as she said it there came a silence afterwards. "Anyway, what is your name? I figure a military project gone right?"

The fight had gotten well past the point of structure. Water flew in every direction, laughter cutting through the heat. It was chaos, but good chaos.
Rellik held up a hand, signaling a truce that no one really obeyed. "All right, all right. You four, have fun. Try not to drown each other." His grin lingered as he pushed back through the water and toward the edge of the pool.

Hauling himself out, he let the water stream down his back, grabbed his towel, and draped it over his shoulders. The sun hit him full in the face as he crossed to the rows of chairs, the sounds of the water fight softening behind him.

He spotted Iandre easily, still stretched out and glowing in the light, and took the empty chair beside hers. Dropping into it, he leaned back with a quiet sigh, towel pulled loosely over his chest.

"Looks like they've got it handled," he said, voice low, the faintest warmth in his tone. "Hopefully this time lasts a little longer before I am drawn back into battle. I would like to enjoy your company a bit dear."

Saul raised his eyebrows in surprise at finding out she was a princess. She didn't seem regal at all... Then again, many people were more than anyone had first suspected. "Sorry, I would have guessed better if you had brought your fanwavers and your crown along." Giving her a smile, he couldn't help but remark cheekily. "Ryoshu... It fits you. Very exotic."

When asked what he did, he thought about what would be a good job descripition for what he did. Miltary project gone good was a good enough description on its own "More or less. I'm with the Order. It gives me a good enough paycheck for boring guard duty with alittle bit of exciting sprinkled in to keep me on my toes." The cyborg answer back with the only question that popped into his head. "So... do you know anyone here?"

color=#D4AF37]"That would be nice,"[/color] she said, letting a small, serene smile touch her lips as she shaded her eyes from the sun. "It's been… chaotic, but enjoyable. I wouldn't mind a pause before the next storm arrives." She shifted slightly on the lounge chair, letting the warmth soak in, and subtly leaned her upper body just a little toward him. Her hand moved slightly, brushing the air between them, tracing the space in his direction—small, deliberate, a quiet acknowledgment of his presence.

"And you should consider yourself lucky this time," she added, a faint glint of mischief in her eyes. "No waterlogged towel battles… yet. Though if you aren't careful, you might find yourself dragged back in before the next pause."

Her gaze lingered on him, softer this time, unguarded. "It's… easier, being here with you,"
she admitted quietly, voice carrying the warmth of genuine affection beneath the playful tease. "Even when chaos surrounds us, you make the moment feel… steady."

A subtle ripple in the Force reached her from the others in the pool, their laughter and splashes a distant current, and she let it pass without concern. Here, with Rellik near, the world could stay chaotic for a little longer—she was content to watch him, feel the quiet certainty of being with him, and let the faintest thread of her presence reach toward him.

From the corner of my eye, from my lounge chair, I watch Landre move; she seems a little too interested in Diarch Rellik. Could she be the one who stole his heart? I rest my hand under my chin, thoughtful and a bit puzzled, then my gaze drifts to Nyva, who's now playing in the water. She swims back and forth, having fun and occasionally diving underwater. I'm glad I brought her here it's good for her to relax, too.

Settling fully into my lounge chair, I let out a sigh of relief and now stare at the ceiling. I don't really know how to react, what I should do. Everyone's aura is clear to me they're all relaxed, carefree for the most part. The mood is festive.

I start to feel hungry, so I have a small buffet brought in so everyone can help themselves, and I let the others know.

"Okay, everyone, if you want to grab a bite, I've had a little buffet set up. Please keep the place clean that's all I ask. Enjoy."

As I say this, I grab a chicken skewer and savor it on my lounge chair. What better way to enjoy the moment than to eat? I might have a drink or two later, but for now I want to keep my mind clear. I've only reminded everyone of the usual rules about food. I've prepared a small bag in the corner for the trash; without a second thought, I toss my empty skewer stick into it and grab another one.

Aknoby simply turns toward Lyssara's voice when he hears the word "food," and he begins to swim quickly back to the edge of the pool.

Leaving a trail of water behind him as he rushes out, he simply looks at the food and doesn't know where to start, so like any good hungry young man, he takes a little of each and begins to eat, and even asks for a chocolate milkshake to top it off.
