The Destruction of Precious Information

Before Casey could pull the pin of her thermite grenade, a shielded ACS-302 Heavy Assault Droid appeared from one of smaller hallways. They would've heard it approaching, but the lack of noise showed that the droid was waiting for them. This showed just how smart this advanced A.I. was. Standing at 2.5 meters, with a displacement of 500 kilograms, this was a walking tank. When it came face-to-face with the intruders, it almost instantly began firing its Z-6 Rotary Cannon. Very little time was given to the group to get out of the way.

Taking down this metal monster would be a challenge. "Good luck."

Jak Sandrow

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
"Throw it!" Jak yelled, his Force reflexes diving him out of the way, and shoving the others (rather ungracefully) back behind solid cover.

As the minigun blazed and roared, Jak yelled out over it, "Anyone have a thermal detonator? We need one now! Toss it along the ground to me."

As Growl recovered from being pushed behind cover he said to [member="Jak Sandrow"] "I have Anti-Force user grenades and a few incendiary's but that's it".As Growl realized he had his droid deactivator on him he said aloud to the group "If neither of you have something that can take it down than just give me covering fire and I'll try my best to fry it's components".

Kalyn knew the others were in trouble she could hear it from where she was, consulting her map, she found that th eelevator shaft, leads right near where the others were, in fact it was right next to it. She had finally gotten through the elevator door, and jumped down, slowing her fall with the jump pack. The door was clean blown off the wall. The droid was huge, very big, but as she walked out she heard someone say something about thermal detonators, she quickly took cover, and shouted to the rest of the group.
"You mean these thermal detonators!" She said, activating and tossing one 15 meters down the hallway, right near the droid, after a few seconds, there was an explosion, and when the smoke cleared, the droid was still there, and moving well, but was heavily damaged, the explosion did also rip off chunks of armor, revealing vulnerable internal components.
"Fire on the chips in the armor!." She said

The deflector shield of the Heavy Assault Droid absorbed much of the impact and damage which would've been caused by the thermal detonator. But some of the outer armoured plating had been strip by the extreme heat and pressure. Without leaving a second to spare, the droid would fire two of it's missiles from its shoulder mounted launcher. The missiles were aimed at the cover where the group was currently hiding. Upon impact with the cover, the surrounding area would be consumed by a fireball of intense temperatures. While this would be happening the droid's Z-6 Cannon would never stop firing, the T-21 light repeating blaster would also join in with the devastation which was occurring a short distance away.

Dal tailed the group close behind, making sure no surprises snuck up behind them. He had stopped to check a seemingly empty room before following the rest of the team down the hall. He got to them as the rockets slammed into the small cover they had found. The thermal hadn't had the impact they had hoped for. Still, it had done some damage, and it seemed to the Devaronian that a similar strategy was in order. Pausing around the corner, Dal pulled out a pair of metal cylinders, and after taking a deep breath, clicked the arming button on one and sent it out towards the droid. If he was lucky, the EMP grenade would give them the time to take down the droid, if it didn't disable it entirely. Otherwise...

He had a couple more.

Growl heard the gunfire but couldn't tell exactly what was going on as his head was down due to the Z-6.Growl did hear the sound of the rockets coming from the droid and quickly activated his Paragon Class Energy Shield and then proceeded to run around the corner absorbing any blaster fire coming in as he rounded the corner. As the rockets made impact Growl saw the fireball not knowing if anyone near him had managed to escape it but he did know he was safe as he barley even felt the heat of the fireball considering he was nearly 15 meters away.As the fireball dissipated Growl looked for any survivors of the group from a distance but couldn't see much due to the warm smoke clouding his thermal with heat signatures.

Jak Sandrow

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
Jak swore under his breath, and was out of the way before the rockets hit, using the Force to dodge the bullets as best as he could, letting the suit take the brunt of the remaining punishment.

He wasn't built for armor vs armor. He was.... wait.

"Hold up! Stop shooting it!"

His arm flicked out, and a tunneler worm shot out and burrowed into the electronics of the droid.

Furiously pecking away at his datapad, Jak shut down system after system in the droid, the tunneler worm 'gnawing' out the droid's brains, effectively.

Under 30 seconds later... the droid slumped, completely powered down. Jak stood up from behind the concrete wall. "I was not ready for that... sorry it took so long." Pressing a button on his wrist, the droid powered up again, its red ocular eye now a bright, livid green. "Also, I've figured out how we're gonna get through the wall."

Growl would see what [member="Jak Sandrow"] had accomplished and give a slow clap as he began walking back towards Jak and the others.Growl would say over his Comm-Link "You think that thing has enough firepower to get us through the concrete?".

Kalyn easily brisked through the fire, as her beskar'gam was fireproof, she saw the eye turn green, and she had not noticed it yer, but Jak was green now, weird.
"I think that will be more than enough, also Jak, why are you green exactly? is there some sort of supervirus around here somewhere?" She said over the commlink

Jak Sandrow

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
"Dude, it just shot rockets at us. This thing has more than enough ammo, I'm sure."

Looking to Kalyn, he shrugged. "Nah... Other than the fact I'm a walking bio-bomb, no, there's nothing to worry about." He inwardly grinned. It really was nothing to worry about.

Using his suit, he mag-gripped onto the back of the metal beast, and his HUD switched over to a simulated display of the robot. "Alright..." His voice now came from the droid. "Let's go." He stomped off in the direction of the main hub. "Dal, Casca, you two set charges - as a team - Growl, Kalyn, you're with me."

Elvenchild319

Allow me to reintroduce myself
Casca rolled out of the way when the rockets came, but was still picked up by the blast and thrown into the wall. Grunting, she stood back up as the massive robot powered down.

"It was about time I blew something up." Taking out a few charges Casey ran to the wall and began setting them, with her thermite one up first.

"Mmm, that was quick." Green would state, rather impressed with the teams effort so far. They had just successfully shut down and then gained control of one of the most dangerous and advanced droids on the market. They did however outnumber it 5:1, but this was soon to change.

After a brief flick through the various cameras located around the facility, Green came across a shivering site. 5 TA2 Super Battle Droids, escorted by 15 TA1 Battle Droids were approaching the group. This time the group of mercenaries would be outnumbered, although they did have a Heavy Assault Droid to assist them. "I'd recommend moving on quickly. Check CCTV camera 3." The faceless voice would recommend over the comm channel.

The man behind the alias of 'Green' was starting to get excited. This was very fun to watch and how he would've loved to be down there with them.

Jak Sandrow

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
Well chit.

After a chilling view of their imminent, future, potential death, Jak swallowed. "Okay... Get out your explosives. Anyone have an RPG or a 'nade launcher?"

The droid he was 'wearing' stomped relentlessly down the hall, now at the main hub. As the Z-6 Rotary sliced through the concrete, chipping away at the brittle, but tough wall, Jak leapt off, his lightsabers leaping into his hands. "Take down the big guys first, and let the 'splosions wear down the little ones. I'll hack into it here, but I'll be ready just in case you two can't hold it." Over the comms, he asked, "How are you two coming along?"

(first two: [member="Kalyn Skirata"] @Growl)

(second two: [member="Casey Romarin"] [member="Dal Talonok"])

Growl would dryly reply to what [member="Jak Sandrow"] had to say with "I have grenades.....just grenades, should I use my blaster or my slughthrower?".As Growl asked the question he would look at his bolter and then back to his AJAX ARC thinking to himself "AJAX has a faster fire rate but my bolter punches through armor like a damn repulsor fist".

Dal gave another corner peak to see [member="Jak Sandrow"]'s hard work. That was an impressive trick. Sadly, the EMP had fizzled, though he supposed that happened when you got your grenades on the cheap. Still, he smiled at the reprogramed droid. "Just hope you don't run into another one. I don't think it would win that fight." Dal called out to the other team as they left. Setting charges. Fun. Still, it was why they were here. It would take him a bit to reach the core of the R&D department. There, he paused before calling out to [member="Casey Romarin"]. "You may want to be careful where you put those. There's something odd here." The Devaronian stood transfixed in front of a containment field about as large as he was. Beneath the tube of energy, there was a swarm of blackness. At the base stood a simple warning.

ANTI-MATTER
DO NOT IRRITATE

While the bounty hunter knew little about anti-matter, he didn't like what he knew. "Guys, we'll need to get well clear once we detonate." Although, if he broke the container, then maybe that alone would crater the entire facility. "I've got the equivalent of an anti-matter torpedo that'll go off when we trigger the explosives." He smiled for a moment, feeling his lips curl back as he knelt to plant a small charge at the base of the field. That would deferentially leave a mark. Spinning in a circle as he studied the room. "Hey, Green," He said, the smile never leaving this face, "If all this is going to be destroyed anyways, do you care if we use some of it?"

[member="Jaccer Ramirez"]

Jak's plan would work perfectly, if the droids were that simple. Instead of following the same corridor down to the group, the AI of the facility decided to make them split off. The 10 TA1 Battle Droids would continue down the corridor, however the TA2 Super Battle Droids would split off down a side corridor. One of the TA2 droid would shoot out the cameras of this side corridor upon their approach, now Green and the mercenaries would have no eyes on them. While the TA1 droids would attack straight on, the TA2 Droids would appear from the grates in the roof. These more advanced murder machines were smart enough to climb through the maintenance shafts in an attempt to surprise their prey.

Once Green had lost his view on the small force of robots he would look to Dal, who had appeared to find a canister of Antimatter. "I don't mind how you do it, just be sure you destroy this facility and anything inside." Whilst watching the camera feed Green would notice various pieces of weaponry and armour scattered around the floor of the R&D room. Some of this advanced technology could prove to be useful to the group. "By the way, feel free to pick up any weaponry or armour you see left behind. If you don't use it, it'll just be lost within the explosion..."

Kalyn saw the droids coming, and she did not want to deal with them, firing a wrist rocket into one of the crowds of droids she activated her commlink.
"R7, or jak could you get that radar, online, and also mabye take control of site security, that would be great." She said

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
R7 had stumbled upon a security room, and using his top level security clearance, walked right into the security room, finding the security scomp link he sliced in. The system Ai needed little convincing to let him through, he had a way with AI ;) . He then turned on the radar system, and routed it through to himself, so he could be anywhere and still be able to see it. He then attempted to override the security registers, adding the group into the highest security level, it took about 60 seconds before he was able to change the registers. After that it took 15 seconds for it to propagate through the system. Once that was done, the droids just apparently stopped firing, slung their weapons, and walked away, it was the oddest sight you would have ever seen, some of the most intelligent battle droids in the galaxy, giving up, and walking away as if nothing had ever happened.

Jak Sandrow

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
Jak sighed in relief as he plugged into the console. "Thanks, R7. I'll take it from here." Entering in a command for a mass-download, he started to copy the files over, keeping an eye on the cams. "You guys almost done?" Then a small but insistent beeping came from the radar. "Hang on a minute..." Enhancing the image, his eyes widened. "Uhhh... you better hurry... We have incoming, and they do not look friendly."
