BIOGRAPHY:
One of the earliest recruits to House Io, Rebecca Hahn (later Rebecca Io) was defined by tragedy when her world of Nar Kreeta fell to the ravages of The Bryn'adul when she was in her teens. Joining a then-nascent House Io after perceiving it as the least likely to take advantage of her refugee status, she would serve aboard the hidden space stations of the fledgling faction, integrating into the culture to the point she met another refugee from Cophrighan, named Danithel Hahn and later married him, bearing him a son also named Danithel. When he was killed in combat, Rebecca despaired, but was persuaded to stay in House Io by the son of no less than its Matriarch, personally crafted by her hands, a Chaplain Nuetralizer named Percival Io. He would stoke her faith and she in turn would stoke his passion for justice. Her faith grew in the House and it's cause to the point she became willing to sacrifice herself in a pivotal battle aboard The Space Station Superweapon, The Avatar of War by unleashing a nuclear weapon next to it with no hope of escape.
But Rebecca's faith was to be rewarded in an extremely twisted way.
The Brain Demon, Goddess of the Cult named after it, took an intense interest in the absolute faith she displayed and whisked her into it's realm seconds before it blew, naming the price of her life being that she must be joined to the Cult. Despite her protests she was forcibly converted by no less than The Amalgam herself and reforged into yet another sadistic Witch named The Deluge, one of the only real mercies she was afforded was that she would be allowed to keep her love for her Son.
But that was not all she kept. The Amalgam kept her memories of Percival intact somewhat as well, and now she thirsts to draw him to her point of view and, in a twisted way, keep him in her life.
PERSONALITY
The Deluge , like all Brain Demon Cultists, takes delight and Joy in cruelty and murder. With Allies, however, she is personable, and deeply resents the idea of betraying them. She enjoys messing with and manipulating Percival in particular, toying with his feelings, and is not quite certain if she still truly feels anything for him but is willing to see where the winds lead her on that subject and is eager to seduce and corrupt him regardless in her now horribly twisted desires for Family and Companions. In one on one conversation, she quiet in tone and never raises her voice, even when angered. This actually makes being around her MORE of a dice roll, because you won't know she is really upset until it's too late.
