• Meditation Chamber: the meditation chamber within the Dark Talon is a casket sized sensory deprivation chamber which can be opened from the inside made from black durasteel. It’s perfect for Zye to use for blocking our distractions. It’s interior is lined with meditation crystals to enhance his connection with the force and further enable Zye to do what he must or recharge from draining fights.
• Med Bay: Equipped with state of the art medical equipment, this medical bay is designed to treat a variety of serious medical issues. Included in its equipment is a bacta tank, antitoxin generator, and an B1-2 surgical droid to tend to a variety of needs.
• Holding cells: While the two holding cells can only keep one person each, they make up for that in their security. Each one has molecularly reinforced walls (as seen on the Slave 2) that could withstand the rage of a furious wookiee. A universal energy shield encapsulates both of the cells individually, preventing would-be Force users escapes through supernatural means. The slaving collars can be attached to prisoners before hand, resulting in painful, if not frequently deadly, results from escape attempts.
Strengths:
• A vessel worthy of a hunter: for eons House Woden has dedicated its existence to hunting. They are hunters by nature with a love of the prey, nothing thrills them more than stalking their prey and the sting of the kill. The Dark Talon was created with hunting in mind. The ship glides stealthily and silently in for the kill with agility and precision.
• Prisoner Cells: While Zye hates to take prisoners, sometimes that is the requirement of the hunt. There are only two cells in the Dark Talon, however they are of maximum security. The walls are sound proof, the force cages help to prevent super natural escapes. The walls are molecularly reinforced to prevent escapes from sheer force. The locks are biometrically attuned to Zye to prevent anyone from breaking their ally out and in the event of a failed attempt at tampering from the outside a kill switch floods the inside of a cell with 5,000 degree Fahrenheit flames, which are able to reduce organic matter to ash and melt most all known metals.
• Meditation Chamber: the meditation chamber within the Dark Talon is a casket sized sensory deprivation chamber which can be opened from the inside made from black durasteel. It’s perfect for Zye to use for blocking our distractions. It’s interior is lined with small crystals to enhance his connection with the force and further enable Zye to do what he must.
Weaknesses:
• Biolock: the Dark Talon is tuned in to Zye Woden. Normally the ship would attune itself to any from the Woden bloodline, grafted or birthed. However, Zye was too paranoid and made sure the vessel could only be operated with him at the helm. While this might help to keep it from being stolen if he is incapacitated in any way, (such as in the middle of a space battle, while in stealth mode, or upon reentry) the Dark Talon will automatically power down.
• Stealth mode: due to the power that is required to operate stealth mode, the Dark Talon cannot operate its weapon systems while stealthed. If the Dark Talon were to use its comm unit in the stealth mode, anyone within sensor range could detect it and lock onto the Talons location. The Dark Talon must essentially be cut off form the outside world while it’s cloaking device is active.
• The Dark Side: When Zye relies upon the meditation chamber inside the Dark Talon, his force signature and that of the Dark Talon grows stronger with nearly no hope of masking the presence, even with the aid of other force users to do so. Other force sensitives could use this to help pin point the location of the Talon, even when its cloaking device is active.
Description:
House Woden at one point was one of the greatest noble houses in all of Thule. Their ability and willingness to hunt the monsters of the night enabled them to amass fortunes over the years before the public turned on them and sent the noble house into the streets—literally and metaphorically. While the members of house Woden enjoyed opulence beyond measure they also spent their fortune acquiring and crafting weapons to further their killing ability. The Dark Talon was one such tool.
Amadeus Woden used his ability as a shipwright to create effective and artful ships. His masterpiece, however, would be the Dark Talon. The Dark Talon was designed to be the height of hunting within space. The interior is minimalist but elegant with dark black and red themes that give a foreboding sense that something evil dwells within. intentional low intentionally emits no Ultraviolet rays, all of the viewports have been polarized to prevent any UV rays from entering. Any passengers are intended to be vampirika after all, or the close servants there of. Aside from the personal quarters, there is enough room for 3 passengers, each with their own living space, a barracks for 10 others, and 2 prisoners. All of the living quarters are minimalist by design, offering no hiding places for ambushes or difficulty in cleaning by the cleaning droid.
Onboard security is handled by 2 security droids, which have recently been updated from older models to more modern models by Zye. Each specializes in their own way to the protection of the Dark Talon and answer directly to Zye. Furthermore, reverse repuslorfields can be used to detain potential boarders or just keep anyone who would want to harm the passengers on board at bay without causing lethal damage within the corridors.
The Dark Talon is not armed to the teeth like most ships of its size, and its payload is almost as light as an interceptor's. Each shot must count when it comes to the Dark Talon's warhead ordinance and mines. The Dark Talon does have a secret weapon that is an especially handy surprise in the event it is caught in a dog fight. Its underbelly 360 degree flak gun is able to surprise pursuers as it pops out from its hidden compartment and sprays a load of shrapnel to any would-be followers or flankers. The forward mounted plasma cannon is able to damage electrical component while its blaster cannon deals out damage.
The true purpose of the Dark Talon is not to commit bombing runs or engage in dog fights. It is intended to hunt, to silently stalk its prey until the timing is right, then offload its weaponry to deal the maximum damage it can. While cloaked, the Dark Talon is basically cut off from the rest of the universe. It cannot broadcast com calls, it cannot attack, all it can do is move in towards it prey.
