Auron waited until the last of the Mandalorians departed from the estate. Then he waited until he heard the airspeeders that had ferried that abysmal delegation here take flight and depart. Once more, he waited until a servant verified that the Mandalorians were gone and completely out of sight. Now a real meeting could be held. Auron doubted it would end any more favorably than the last one did. Still, it was nice to be rid of the Mandalorian presence and that of the traitorous Count Morcus. Now civilized discussion could begin.

"Degenerates. Barbarians. The lot of them. All they do is rape, pillage, and speak in that awful, guttural language of theirs."

Or maybe not so much with the civilized talk.

Auron grumbled this audibly enough to be heard, moving to procure himself a bottle and a glass from a nearby table. As he walked, he would crush the holoprojector that Larraq had used to appear here underfoot, rendering it useless and inoperable. That is, if the Mandalorian who placed it there had not picked it up on his departure. "Might not even fit to call it a language. Not any moreso than the barks and growls of dogs are a language."

He poured himself a glass, swirling the alcohol around. He would need to get himself drunk later if he was going to live with this new wound in his pride and that of his culture's. Not here, though. What his peers discussed here would determine the future of Serenno. Namely, either it would be a temporary Mandalorian territory until support was drummed up to get them off planet, or Aretine would insist on running headlong into revolution, which could only result in the destruction of most of Serenno's surface.

"Now they'll add highway robbery and coercion to their no-doubt staggering list of offenses and crimes. Then salivate over gore porn, or whatever it is they do when they're not raping the galaxy."

Stross took a sip of his wine. Good stuff, in stark contrast to the bad stuff he was talking about. "Be that as it may, not signing this treaty is tantamount to suicide in our cases and genocide for everyone else on this planet. You've all heard what they did to Dromund Kaas. Hardly anything left alive on that planet. They won't hesitate to do the same here, especially if we play this like fools."

"A language and culture of rank savages. They could not be any further from our way of life on Serenno," Count Aretine concurred.

He had taken a seat at the head of a marble conference table in the room. His hands were tented beneath his broad shoulders as he listened to the words of Count @[member="Auron Stross"]. Thankfully, Stross had taken the liberty of dispatching the holocommunicator carrying a signal from Larraq. Aretine had no desire to deal with him now, and anything more to be said between the Counts and the Mandalorians was, at this point, a trivial waste of time. When Stross had finished, Aretine spoke up.

"The issue is, signing the treaty will only delay the inevitable," He replied. "Make no mistake. Open war is upon us whether we ask for it or not. Should we sign the treaty, our funds, resources and population will be at the disposal of the Mandalorians, at least on paper. Their conflicts will become our conflicts. Serenno will become an instant target for the enemies of the Mandalorians, due to its vast amount of wealth and resources. Should we sign the treaty, and the Mandalorians see that they can make demands of us at will, what next? Today it is some vague 1% flat tax and conscription. Next week it could be 2%, and troops levied directly from our own palaces. Then what? I see no reason why their demands should ever decrease. If you give a mouse a cookie, he's going to want some milk."

His eyes shifted to each of the Counts and Countesses in attendance.

"Our culture is in jeopardy of extinction whether we sign the treaty or not. We must at least agree on this. Staying as part of the Mandalorian Clans is untenable in the long term. They may concede to let us keep a veneer of Serennoan culture for now, but make no mistake. As the amoebic, all-consuming mass of the Mandalorian Empire cuts an ever-wider swathe across the galaxy, eventually we will be forced to assimilate. Just like everyone else. That is why, whether we choose to resist now or resist later, resistance is the only option. We must eventually fight, or Serenno will perish."

Sabrina sneaked in through a open bay window, she had not been seen by the mandalorians. She apporached the other guest`s and, formaly bowed before other guests, as she was still an apprentice, and some of them where sith lords. She told them, They been beaten before, you know even when they had all the cards in their favor.

She wanderer over to a cupboard, and took out a bottle of echani red wine and then took over to count aretine, Do you lot know the history behind that bottle? She wonder if they new or not, history of that one bottle, which to this day is still made by The echani fire dancers. History always has, away of repeating it self, if properly motivated.

They need a plan, to make anything work, other than just a bloody massacre. As the these mandalorians, where not actually known for their peace full ways

I believe your right@[member="Count Aretine"] its only time before they want more from us, they snake their way into our culture to just destroy it from inside out. For one we are in no way to tangle with the head of the snake, maybe we need to start at the back of get as much information, learn there weakness, everyone has a weakness we just need to find theirs. Until then we must be on our toes and start to build up our defense but do it a way that goes unnoticed from those tin can eyes. Lets build where they wouldn't look, there will be spy I sure, pay off, why can't we do the same, send a goodwill ambassador to there planet, if one was to go take a few of their servant with then that is loyal its amazing what a few handmaids could find out late at night. Looking at the bottle, taking her own seat, after she had dismissed her body guard those in suits of there. @[member="Auron Stross"] Like it was put they are savages, killing and raping what they want, taking what they think they must have. Now smiling at @[member="Sabrina Kotass"] Miss please enlight on the bottle if anything it will be a fresh topic, not that we don't have to decide what must be done. Snapping her fingers to be brought some food, as it seem they might be here for a while until they had reach something that could be agreed upon if anything for the time until could get there own ducks in a roll, to be able to handle this brunts.

Sabrina looked round the room, and put the triangular bottle down. She faced the front the bottle, towards @[member="Countess Calum Teramo"], showing her the picture, of mandalorian, being killed by an lightly armed echani warrior. She waited if any one else wished to, enlighten good countess, as she did want to give her betters a history lesson.
