Description:

In a attempt to create a drone capable of crushing front line opposition flat Arakyd industries has created The Crusher, a single wheel droid equipped with two cannons. This wrecking ball of a drone has one simple objective, crush and blow up everything in it's path. It does so by being a very big and very heavy chunk of durasteel that rolls at speeds up to 128 KPH.

The large drone operates on a standard reactor that can be compared to such as this there's nothing special about it besides it running on isotope 5. For propulsion the engine powers two heavy industrial mechanical gyros (one on each side) in turn propel the mounted track. The isotope 5 being what gives the large drone it's explosive speeds. The drone also can come equipped with two side mounted weapons, that are fired line of sight in a straight line. however they are not very accurate. The drone is primarily made for crushing and most of it's firing will be on the go, whether it is chasing someone down or firing at a target before ramming into it.

The Crusher can take damage from small arms fire such as blasters but larger blaster cannons and rockets can destroy it rather easily along with lightsabers. It can easily crush infantry, speeders, and light armored vehicles. It can knock over and proceed to crush smaller walkers such as ATSTs and the like. But when it comes to larger walkers and (ATATs) and heavy tanks the droid can do little to nothing against them besides fire their ion cannons or rockets.

Using a wireless signal connected to a data pad or logger the crusher is controlled remotely and is susceptible to Jammers cutting off the signal or slicers hacking into it.

But there are drawbacks to this machine. Transporting it is an absolute pain, it is heavy, and large and unruly and can only be used outside unless you wish to demolish the building you are in. It has no defenses against ion attacks or EMPs. It's weak against heavy weapons and also can not make sharp turns, a sharp turn will cause it to fall over onto it's side and become useless. And as a fundamental problem with all drones it can be sliced into or have it's signal jammed.

All and all though the crusher is a great drone for clearing front line engagements. It is strong, robust, and powerful.

[member="Patricia Susan Garter"] - First off: This sub acts and functions more like an autonomous vehicle than an actual droid. Please edit the sub in such a way as to reflect that it is in fact a vehicle in nature. There is little really droid like in this. Thank you.

[member="Patricia Susan Garter"] - The best advice I can give is trying to alter your approach to the idea. Try checking out Hailfire droids and, also, be aware drone vehicles are still vehicles, so this will likely remain a vehicle

[member="Patricia Susan Garter"] - I'm going to ask you to cut down your armaments severely to two canon or two missile launchers (With the same fire arc and used) as before. As it stands this is extremely well armed and hard to damage, and something needs to give.

[member="Patricia Susan Garter"] -

If you go with three different armaments where you can only pick two, you need to specify firing arc and such for it mounted, and i'd like it clarified the choice of weapons is done during manufacture and not modular and able to be altered later on/during battle.

As well, this is supposedly an 'autonomous' vehicle, so having a crew of 'one' is a bit goofy, it should probably read '0 (controlled remotely by 1 person) so as to remove any potential for confusion.

The propulsion is not really a single wheel, but whatever kind of reactor the I-5 is powered by, so can we have that edited in to be reflected, and a bit more detail on what/exactly how the reactor works and what kind of reaction it runs on?

[member="Patricia Susan Garter"] - A firing arc is not a range, I could read those from the links you included in the sub, which was a nice thing to do. Please include a firing arc. If you are unsure what that is, please let me know and I will try to explain further.

[member="Patricia Susan Garter"] - 45 degrees front the front of the ship means they would need to be mounted to the front of the wheel part, which means the first time they roll they'll crush the guns. Did you mean from the sides?
