The Crow and The Spider

Cawrion sat waiting for the second time this week in a bar on Serenno. This time he was waiting for a pirate, one that he figured would fit perfectly in his crew. But that had to be seen. He had never run into quite a creature like this, if he would be willing to follow his rules he would be perfect to have at his side.

So he sat there, feet on the table leaning backwards mask on and hood up, all his weapons at the ready and in a sealed box on the table and extra mask and his specially made weapon, just in case this meeting went very well. For if he were to join him, he would have to look the part, following Cawrion’s pattern, he was bound to get attention drawn to himself soon and he was determined to only be known as the Crow.

Cawrion relaxed in his chair hoping that for the second time this week that he would have found someone worthy of joining him, someone good enough, someone with the skills he needed. After he would be done with this man, he would have them all meet, including the kid, it was important for all of them to know each other’s real faces. But that was something to take care of later, first, the meeting.

Dravek shouldered past several humans as he held the datapad aloft, following the information presented to his destination. He had been contacted not long ago about a lucrative job offer, should he prove himself capable. He was to meet "The Crow" at The Winking Mynock, a seemingly random bar here on Serenno to receive further information. He noticed a few humans trying not to stare at him as they hurriedly walked by. His kind wasn't particularly common throughout the galaxy, and his large size for an Eliksni furthered his intimidation. It wasn't all intentional, but Dravek supposed intimidation could be a good skill to have.

Dravek's mask clicked as it regulated the air into something he could breathe safely. Though he enjoyed the advantages of being born the race that he was, he did not like being bound by a breakable object. It made him quite uncomfortable, but he had grown used to it by now. It made him all the more deadly in combat; he fought like a rancor to protect his vital helmet.

Bending down to fit in the bar's doorway, Dravek scanned the dark room for his hopeful employer, located him, and approached.

Cawrion saw the massive creature enter the bar, nobody would not see this guy and he loved it. It would be no problem to simply intimidate folks when this guy was around. He smiled to himself as the man approached.

Stood up and stretched out his hand and then he spoke, his voice changed due to his mask. “There is absolutely no way that you not my guy. Nice to meet you, call me Crow, now follow me we shouldn’t talk out in the open. Makes it too easy to overhear, I have a room set up in the back and removed all surveillance in it.”

Then Cawrion would walk towards the back, relaxed for he was already sure he had made another good choice. Assuming the other would follow he would then sit down in one of the sofas and gesture to one opposite of him, it was of course larger than his to accommodate the other man’s giant form.

As soon as Dravek would enter the bar, he was quickly ushered away to a back room by none other than the Crow. Changing locations would be a smart idea. In Dravek's experience, every hole in the wall seemed to hide some sort of prying eye or ear. And everything that seemed innocent and harmless had the potential to kill you.

This was the nature of his business; his chosen profession. It led him here today to this job offer. Intrigued by the Corw's eagerness to have him on his team, Dravek slowly sauntered after him to the room to figure out how he was needed.

Cawrion sat up and crossed his arms in his lap “I must press one point before we begin, if the answer to this question is no then you can leave. Can you preform your job without killing? For this is always going to be a non-lethal crew”

He would lean back after he had answered and continue “So I know some of your story but not all, I know you are or have been a pirate. However, I am not sure about what you do. To put it this way, I am an adept slicer, I am great pilot and a great shot in close quarters. Tell me this, what do you do or what do you prefer to do anyways.

Dravek's eyebrow ridge rose underneath his helmet. The man wanted his crew to be entirely non-lethal; an eccentric rule. He would have to prod for more details before directly answering. "It is in my experience," Dravek slowly began, "that, while non-lethal combat is honorable and morally upright, it does little but complicate missions. Are you certain you will be able to accomplish the missions and tasks you wish without killing?" Hopefully he would learn exactly what The Crow's team would be all about.

"And as for my skills, they are a simple set: I am proficient with weapons of all sorts, blades, pistols, rifles, and much more, and I can pilot and command as well." Dravek corssed two of his arms and awaited The Crow's response; he would be most interested in what he had to say.

Cawrion smirked, “That is not true when you have chosen” from under the table he brought up the Corvine Beak and but it on the table “the correct weaponry. Overall this will be just as effective as a blaster, with the exception against people strong in the force, whom have an easy time swatting these out of the way due to their speed however, that I am working on to approve”

As he shoved the weapon over the low table he continued “we’ll that is wonderful, but what do you prefer doing that is to say, what is your forte? Is it hand to hand, pistols or rifle? For I will acquire a lovely weapon for you that will of course be a non-lethal one. If you are willing to follow my rules that is”

A personal weapon, provided by The Crow. This was a nice perk to the job, provided he would be allowed to keep it. "If I could choose any single weapon to wield in battle, I would prefer a melee weapon," Dravek stated, voice slightly modified by the helmet. He glanced down and gestured towards the pair of vibroblades latched to his utility belt.

"There's just something so personal, so inherently . . . right about facing an enemy in close quarter combat than hiding behind a scope from miles away," he shook his head as he said this. Though he did not trust Jedi or Sith very much, he had to admit he admired their up-close-and-personal lightsaber fights. It was at least one thing to respect about them.
