Intent: To create a fusion reactor capable of binding two or more distinct Lightsaber crystals into a new crystal
Development Thread:

Manufacturer: Order of the Sith Lords
Model: N/A
Affiliation: Order of the Sith Lords
Modularity: No
Production:
Unique

Material: Diatium; Adamithium; Dark side of the Force

Description:
The Dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities and none come more unnaturally than Sith Alchemy. Darth Pandeima, a Sith Lord in the 830s, begun training her own Apprentice in the ways of the dark side. Observing the sciences that her Master pursued, Darth Ayra became aware of the possibilities that came with long study and practice. Thus, when she killed her Master and took her place, she begun her own studies into the unnatural sciences of the dark side.

There many types of fusion processes that have been observed by scientists, who have studied and learned physics and chemistry based fusion. For example, fusion power is the process in power is generated by nuclear reactions. Fusion is even observed in the metal industries, where two substances are melted together to create something new. But the Sith Alchemy Darth Ayra intended to pursue was a new type of fusion, for there are no known recordings in which two or more Lightsaber crystals have been bonded together to form a completely new type of crystal.

The process in which a Lightsaber is created involves the core, which a crystal fulfills as. When the Lightsaber is activated, the crystal within is ignited, resulting in the Lightsaber being attributed to the colour of that crystal and it's attributes. For example, a commonly used Lightsaber crystal- the Adegan crystal- served most Jedi as the core to their famous weapons, normally found to be either green or blue, and allowed the user to build a connection to their Lightsaber via the Force. Aware that Lightsabers and their crystals fulfilled these functions, having constructed her own Lightsaber with a synthetic lightsaber crystal, Darth Ayra sought a way to create a crystal- for her to utilize in her own Lightsaber- that would hold the powers and abilities associated with many different rare lightsaber crystals that would all be amalgamated into one, all powerful version.

With the power of the dark side and the many different sciences of Sith Alchemy, Darth Ayra knew that it was possible to see her create the weapon she sought if she had the right tools and spent enough time studying her work. After discovering the Home, Darth Ayra had a facility constructed there so that she would have access to the deposit of dark side energy that Darth Vectivus once used. Aware that she could utilize the deposit of dark side Force energy found within the asteroid, Darth Ayra devised a tool that would allow her to go about the process of experimenting with Lightsaber crystals and learning the Sith Alchemy behind fusing them together to create a newer, more powerful version.

Utilizing Adamithium, Darth Ayra created the Creatura Reactor, so that she could observe the splitting of Lightsaber crystals at a microscopic level, so as to learn a way of bonding the atoms within each crystal together to form the new version, whilst retaining that crystals ability. The energy resistant properties of Adamithium should allow the reactor to split and fuse together Lightsaber crystals, as it would be extra resistant to the energy outputs given by the crystals at the moment of fusion. Diatium was incorporated into the design, so as to allow Darth Ayra to record and observe the energy readings within the reactor. It is powered by Skyhook facility it was installed upon.

Essentially, the Creatura Reactor is a device capable of bonding Lightsaber crystals together, whilst retaining the powers and abilities of those crystals when fused together by a Sith Alchemist who has studied and learned the ways of bonding together Lightsaber crystals via Sith Alchemy and their dark side powers, particularly if they are aided by a nearby supply of dark side energy.

I love the concept and the work is there. Can you expand on what a typical project might look like? An ambitious project? Are we talking 'pontite+lignan+hurrikaine+Bane's Heart = jewel with 18 powers'?

Beginning projects would entail study of lightsaber crystals, such as the Qixoni, Katak and Stygium that I have already gained. The ultimate goal is to create a crystal that would retain the powers of the individual lightsaber crystals that were fused together to form it. For example, a crystal that was made from a Qixoni, Katak and Stygium crystals fused together. The crystal would have the power to increase the dark side abilities of the user (Qixoni), drain life energy (Katak) and allow the user to cloak (Stygium).

I envision creating a lightsaber crystal being made to rival the Soulsaber, based from this submission and the future roleplay I will be putting into research and development of the Sith Alchemy (Crystalogy) I am founding as Darth Ayra.

Seeing as ambitious crystals would need their own submissions, and seeing as most crystal powers really aren't that high-wattage anyway - AND considering the quality of the idea and the work you've done - I have no problem stamping this.
