The Crazy Cantina [OPEN]

2e3wyus.jpg
Wet Bantha.
Thats what it smelt like when Davin walked into the Cantina. It was a small one just on the corner, nothing special, well nothing special to him at least. Davin hadn't been to Tatooine in over a year, he didn't remember it being as hot as it was but found a way to deal with it, even under his helmet. Davin sat in front of the entrance after stepping in he wiped the sand and dust from his poncho and off of his boots, the dust seemed to dance in the air as it was forced off. A slight echo in Davins breath could be heard as it bounced off of the inside of his helmet. He walked up to the bar, sat down and ordered. Davin always liked beers, he didn't know why but the taste of them also seemed to calm him. The stock of Davins rifle pushed it way out of the top of the poncho for easy accesses and was strapped around the front. He held a DL-44 on his left thigh and a belt full of accessories. The Cantina was packed, almost shoulder to shoulder, the loud music of the band rushed into everyone's conversations making them speak louder to compensate. This turned into almost a roar as bottle broke over tables and bar tenders yelled and fights broke out. Davin was there to gather information on a target he was hired by just a few months back. The man was Krava One-shot a human that hired him to take out a target but never followed up on his payment. Davin was stupid enough to take the payment after the job, a mistake he would NEVER make again.

Barak sat in the corner of the cantina in a booth, waiting for his contact to arrive. He was on this god-forsaken of heat trap, because he was making a delivery. What were the contents? He didn’t know, nor did he want to. Any job of this ambiguity, he was more then happy not to know the details. It rested better on his soul, it was of course only out of necessity to deal with the black market from time to time. Yes he had inherited his family fortune, from a family he didn’t fully know or understand. Maybe at one point and time he knew the answers, but now they were a scattered into the deepest parts of his mind. That of course didn’t matter to him, at the moment, he was here to unwind.

The music was fine, though it was a bit too packed, especially with the heat of this planet. It didn’t help that the air condition for the place felt as if was broken. Especially as he was sweating heavily. His drink finally arrived, he smiled at the waitress, as she gave him his drink. Once she was off, he felt for his belongings. He was more then happy to be done with this place, he felt the sides of his legs, unclasping his blasters. He knew at any moment, something was going to go down, and he didn’t need to fumble with getting himself armed. Not that his blasters were his only weapon, he carried his lightsaber also for just in case things really go south. He sat back as the cool liquid of his drink helped to keep him hydrated.

Davin moved back as a fight began to break out in front of him. He calmly but quickly picked up his drink and walked away. The two men to seemed to have been fighting over a barter gone wrong. Glass was heard being broken, Probably over someones head, in the distance. Davin pushed his way through the small crowd that formed around the two men, which eventually turned into five. Davin kept on walking until he found a booth. It was a used one thats for sure, It probably had never been cleaned, cracks engulfed the stained walls and water dripped from them. He noticed a Waitress and called her over. He asked for a straw and sent her off. He went to take off his helmet but stopped midway as he noticed a man just across from him. White hair was what caught his attention the most. Out of all the characters in the Cantina this one seemed the most, odd. Davin couldnt put his finger on it but something was off about this one. Davin opened his journal, he looked through the pictures of bounties seeing if he could make some quick credits. No Luck. This man wasnt wanted from what he could see but the suspicion around him didnt leave Davins mind. Davin began to make his way to the man. He quickly sat and held up a picture to the man.
"Do you know this man?"
He asked, his voice cracked and held a deep pitch under the helmet.

He couldn’t wait for his contact to arrive, and he was finished with the job. No soon had he been their a fight broke out. It wasn’t his concern, so long as, they kept it in their side of the cantina. He sipped his drink, waiting patiently for this job to be over. He saw a Twi’lek offer her after hours services to some crook of a man.

As he continued drinking, an armored stranger sat across from him. Barak raised an eye brow, he wondered what this was all about. He leaned closer to the man, as he barely understood what he was saying. Of course this was due to the noise of the place, as the fight started to get more violent and louder, as more people started to jump in. He was worried that this was going to get worse, before it got better.

"Do you know this man?"

The stranger asked, Barak looked at the photo. He grunted, why did all his jobs go this south so fast. The photo was no other then his contact, at least of all to receive his payment. He looked back at his guest.

Nope, don’t know the guy.

Barak said with a sleepish smile, as he cursed what gods he angered. He now needed to get out of here, as he felt things were going to be more lively then they already were.

Davin wasn't satisfied with the mans answer. He hadn't seen robes worn like that since he was a kid and it made him uneasy. Davin leaned in.
"Now you wouldn't be lying would you.."
He said placing his blaster on the table.
Davin had seen this man before but wasnt sure where. While he tried to retrace his memory he remembered what his brother use to say.
"A Hunter must remember everything, recognize your surroundings"
Davin, on that front, had failed. If he had used it he would surely be able to remember this man.
The fight got more serious as a blaster shot was heard. The bar tender held the blaster above his head pointing it at the trouble seekers.
"I DONT WANT NO MORE FIGHTIN IN ME BAR! YA HEAR!"
Everyone seemed to quite down. The crowd broke up slowly as people mumbled, and cursed under there breath.

"Now you wouldn't be lying would you.."

He saw the blaster put on the table, he knew what it meant. The guy was trying to intimidate him for more answers, and that he knew Barak was lying. Not that he was a great liar to begin with. It’s also why he didn’t play poker games like Pazaak, his lack of a poker face always gave him away. Still he had to keep up the charade, only for a little bit, as he needed to get paid. Plus his contact was a good source of work, and losing that life line wasn’t part of his immediate plans for money.

Not that he was in desperate need of it, but still you never know, and having a rainy day fund helps in this life. Especially funding his endeavors, liking hunting darksiders for one. Now though, it looked like things were going to get complicated. He wished things would go smoothly, it seemed like everything wasn’t going smoothly for him. He tucked his coat more, hoping to cover his legs from exposing his blasters, and from giving away what he brought to the fight.

Just as he slipped his hands to his side, in case he needed the fire power. He heard blaster fire, and turned to look for it’s source. Seeing the bartender point the blaster at he group of people that were fighting.

"I DONT WANT NO MORE FIGHTIN IN ME BAR! YA HEAR!"

The bartender said, Barak let out a sigh, though one issue was resolved. He wondered about his present one.

“Nope can’t recall that face.”

Barak answered the man across from him. He then place his curved lightsaber on the table for his new friend to see.

“Now I wouldn’t lie to you.”

Barak added in. He hoped the sight of his lightsaber would give him equal if not better footing in this situation.

“Hey Barak!” He heard his name being called out. Straining his neck at the odds, he saw his contact standing there. Oh how he wished he was anywhere else but here.

Sitting across from the way of to the side of the bar Sam then slightly turns her head once talk. Thought muffled and heard as nothing less than a whisper at the moment made its round of the place. Starting when the stranger came in the door and was soon followed by another. A hunter she reckons to guess judging from their stance and well the talk that soon followed behind the bar.
Coming to no less from the barkeep himself who seem genuinely miffed by a past incident. That, in turn made her slightly scoff a laugh as she then down a sip her drink.

"Yeah right that gonna happen ...."

But then seem she spoke so soon as from the sideline a newcomer came bust in and she all had but could mouth in silence as she down last of her drink.

"Well this gonna be an interesting night....just my unlucky."

To say she was searching was... an understatement. Saria was far from home, very far from home and all but out of credits without anything to show for it. What had started out as a grand quest for her to try and find her way through this galaxy and her place in it, had ended up with her in some smelly back water cantina on a desert planet.

Yes, she was on her last credit. The bartender had offered to give her a job on the spot dancing on the poles. Before she would have blushed so hard and turned him down on the spot with a mumbled answer. But now she was so hungry and down on her luck the young woman was actually considering it as she sat at her spot in the cantina. The glass, mostly empty of its water, looked to her like about the only thing she owned now aside from her backpack under her feet and the clothes on her back.

Suddenly she felt a tug as some common crook snatched up her pack and sprinted for the door.

"Stop!" she shouted pointing at the feeling figure, tears welling up in her eyes, "He has my bag!"

But then just as she was about to leave she hears a voice call out to her flank. And the sight of crook heading her way which thinks on her feet. She then slightly sticks out a foot to trip the guy who no sooner came crashing down by her side. At which time seem looking apologetic she then reach over help dust the guy out. while in actuality she then reaches over to relieve him of said bag among few things, Which seem slip the mind as he quickly scampers off.

In which time with the bag in tow she slowly walked over to the woman who she'd heard shouting earlier (Saria) . Drop the pack by her side and with smirk spoke.

"Well you better be careful then....this ain't the best place be letting your guard down. Believe me, i've been there....so shall we dispense with the small talk and word of advice....your welcome and best not be around. As things seem might get mighty messy round here soon...."

Davin looked at the man with the white hair and smiled. Though the man couldn't see it he had hoped he would've recognized it by the way Davins head turned. Davins laugh could be hears muffled under his helmet.
"..I thought, you said you wouldnt lie to me?"
He crosses his legs and spins the blaster on the table.
"And whats even worse is you're a Jedi...not very noble of you my friend, not noble at ALL."
Davin stood up with the blaster and pointed it over at Krava. Without looking over at him he fired a shot at Krava. The sound made the cantina go quite the piercing red of the laser ran across Davins helmet as it left the chamber lighting it up. Davin wasnt sure he had hit the man or not to be honest, he was trying to look his coolest.

He summoned his lightsaber through the Force, but it was too late. He knew his cover was blown the minute Krava showed up, but he really wanted the payment before his it came to this. Well actually he wanted Krava to live so he can get more jobs. Yet seeing the blaster ring out of the bounty hunter’s blaster, and striking Krava, he knew that he wasn’t getting paid, let alone any more jobs. The cantina went silent, and Barak looked around, as all eyes were on him and the Bounty Hunter.

He hated having an audience, especially as he felt the spot light on himself. Everyone was wondering what he was going to do. At least Barak thought they were. He let out a sigh, out of all this, he could have at least gotten his money.

“I just wanted to get paid.” Barak said under his breath, as he now stood over his acquaintance dead body.

He turned towards his contact killer, he knew it was time for a duel, and a duel, was what was, going to happen.

“Theirs nothing really Jedi like about me.” Barak said to Davin. He remembered his name finally, it wasn’t too long ago that he first met him. At least Barak thought it wasn’t, but he was terrible with remembering names let alone the times he met the person.

He held up his fist towards his opponent, channeling the Force, a swirl of flame appeared in front of his knuckles. Barak smiled, as the swirl condensed into a ball. Mimicking a punch, Barak let the fire ball fly towards Devin. Nothing like a duel in a cantina to start out the day.

Davin watched as the Jedis hand engulfed itself into flames and then into a ball. Davin watched in almost awe. His daze would soon be broken as a fire ball was jetted towards him. Davin quickly stepped spinning his body. Though this wasnt enough, well at least not for his poncho. His poncho began to light up, the smell of burning fabric was spreading through the air as he removed it. He threw it over to the side. With his gun pointed at the Jedi he spoke.
"Ive killed plenty of Jedi. You wouldnt be my first..."
He said slowly stepping.
Davin wasnt lying. He had killed Jedi but he may have been exagerating when he said 'Plenty' as that would entail more than one. Davin wasnt scared, even if he where to die here today he wouldnt care. He had no one he loved in his life, he was only living for himself as of now. Soon Davin pulled the trigger. A flurry of blaster bolts shot zipping towards the Jedi.

The young woman looked at the woman who had helped save her everything she had. Her brown eyes were wide with both thanks and wonder. Just when she had decided that everyone on this planet was out to be cruel, there was always someone there to help her.

"Thank you," she said at last, gripping her bag and holding it close to her chest. She nodded as the other woman gave her world-wise advise. Saria was very green to the galaxy, quite literally she was fresh off the ship from her homeworld.

"Your right, I should go," she said slipping the bag over her shoulder, "I will try to be more careful."

With a final thankful nod, she made her way out of the door quietly as the fight between the two overly macho maniacs looking to prove who's was bigger broke out.

And so seem in a heartbeat after giving a decent word of advice to the stranger who no sooner grabs. Then held her bag which as best she could tell from the way she was holding on to it tight. That it would maybe be all that she had which she totally understood....having been in her spot one time in the past. After losing her father and having fend on her own for the first time. Though in her case she'd been taught well how to survive the mean streets and back alley of the underworld.

But then again soon enough her words seem rang some truth as from behind no sooner had they spoke that a blast was heard. From a small caliber blaster, she reckons judging from the sound of it....at which time take the opportunity the woman she spoke with bolted. And she for what its worth had been forced to slightly turn and hunker low. Just as from the side, a strange fireball thing collided with a wall and a fight soon ensued between two the stranger. At which time as much she wanted to leave as well but then a fairly large Ithorian thug block her way. Having fallen behind due to the fact he'd been startled and taken aback by the fireball thing.

"Karabast, just my luck....oh well...."
