  • Description: The Confederation Guard is meant to be the premier planetary defensive fighting force in the military of The Imperial Confederation. Using the cloning vats and templates already found on New Alderaan, the capital of TIC, these Guards were produced to fill the role of planetary defense armies, allowing the Imperator Corps to be the Sword of the Confederation. Like the G.A.L. before them, these soldiers have undergone extreme levels of mental conditioning, flash training, and live-fire exercises, with a specialization in defensive tactics. They are also equipped with mental implants that increase combat efficiency.
SOCIAL INFORMATION

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
During the fall of the Empire of the Lost and the riots on Lianna, the Phantom Empress, Kaanni Ugaiya Kilran, attempted to recover her late father's body from its resting place. The effort ended in failure, leaving her severely wounded. After retreating, she slipped into a coma under circumstances that left Karl Von Strauss medically uncertain of the cause. Per her final request, which was scrawled hastily on a charred fragment of a propaganda poster, Karl had her body placed into cryostasis aboard The Nucleus.

With the Kilran heir effectively 'lost,' the tether that once bound the Clones' loyalty to the Empire was severed. Karl had feared the worst: mass hysteria, violent episodes, an unraveling of discipline, but that never came. Instead, a quiet despair settled over them. The Clones entered a subdued, depressive state that dulled their effectiveness on the battlefield.

In response, the government offered them a choice: retirement with a stipend and integration into civilian life, or reenlistment into the newly reorganized Imperator Corps as instructors for the next generation of Stormtroopers. The vast majority chose to retire, their sense of purpose extinguished alongside the fall of their Empress. A smaller number, however, found a new spark of purpose and accepted the mantle of mentorship.

At the time, Karl ordered the cloning vats on New Alderaan to be decommissioned and sealed, locked behind security protocols and political red tape.

Months later, as he revised the Defense Initiative originally conceived under the Empire of the Lost, Karl sought to design a system that would avoid past failures and reinforce the future of the Imperial Confederation. He recalled how the old Complex Defense Brigades were a patchwork of Imperial Army, Stormtrooper legions, and the Grand Army of the Lost. But now, with those elements consolidated under the Imperator Corps, they no longer fit the vision. While the Imperator Bulwark could serve as garrison forces for Confederation worlds, that, however, would divert them from their primary role.

Recognizing the need for a loyal and reliable defensive fighting force, untainted by the dynastic loyalties that once bound them to a fallen throne, Karl took decisive action. With the assistance of the geneticists stationed aboard The Nucleus, he authorized the reactivation of the sealed cloning facilities on New Alderaan.

This time, the objective was different. The new generation of clone troopers would not be engineered to serve a single bloodline or heir, but rather to uphold the ideals and unity of the Imperial Confederation itself. Their loyalty would be to the state, not to any one figurehead.

Designed with improved mental conditioning, enhanced adaptability, and a broader ideological foundation, these soldiers would be forged as defenders of the Confederation's people and future. This reformed and reimagined force would come to be known as the Confederation Guard, a symbol of stability, sacrifice, and the enduring strength of the Imperial vision, redefined for a new era.
