GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Media Name: The Compendium
  • Format: Book
  • Distribution: Unique
  • Length: Epic
  • Description: The first noticeable thing about the Compendium is that it is ludicrously massive. Closer inspection will reveal that it is an intricate hand-written text that covers the history and events of Credence, the Credenci, and the Baal system.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Author: Kascalion Giedfield
  • Publisher: Self
  • Reception: N/A
FORMAT INFORMATION
The book is broken into several parts, each separated into a multitude of chapters that detail specific events, heroes, villains, artifacts, locations, lost societies, and even theories about the possible revival of the Credenci people and/or culture. Most of the chapters are usually hundreds of pages in length, and the book itself is almost unbearably long. To mark pages, the book has also been equipped with several markers to help any potential readers prevent themselves from getting lost.

CONTENT INFORMATION

  • Table of Contents
    • Part 1: The Early Days (Ductavis Period)
      • Chapter 1: The First Walker
        • An in-depth analysis of the first sentient being on Credence and how they came to also become the first wielder of the Force on the planet.
      • Chapter 2: The Walker Explores
        • A detailing of the First Walker's exploration and charting of the planet before other sentient beings evolved.
      • Chapter 3: The New Life
        • Discussions and diagrams of the life that came after the First Walker, who by this point had disappeared with only sparse evidence of his existence being left behind for his amusement.
      • Chapter 4: The Keartan
        • A lengthy chapter detailing the monstrous entities known as the "Dragons of the Apocalypse" who threatened the burgeoning civilizations. Particularly noteworthy in this chapter is the discussion of the final battle, which saw the lead Dragon - whose name could roughly be translated into modern Galactic Basic as "Death" - absorb the powers of all three others into herself in the attempt to win her war against the ancient peoples of Credence. However, the unified army of the ancient peoples managed to slay the beast's physical form and lock her soul away in the first known Force relic on the planet - its creator never having been revealed.
      • Chapter 5: The First Heroes Are Named
        • A grand celebration that saw the first kings and queens of the primeval Credence named and put into power. Under their reigns, many Great Clans were formed and the unification that had been formed to fight the Dragons ended within only ten years of having been formed.
      • Chapter 6: The Bravehearts
        • A discussion of the honorable, battle-hardened, and neutral Great Clan under the command of King Zhiksisĥ the Bear. The Bravehearts would go on to become the largest and most prosperous clan to whom all others often deferred for advice in coming battles or requested aid in said battles, save for the Burnt Eyes. King Zhiksisĥ would sire a bloodline that lasted until the end of the Credenci people entirely, although the legacy and respect of this bloodline inevitably withered over time. This Great Clan itself, however, would die much earlier at the hands of the Warp Shapers in the War of Greed. King Zhiksisĥ's twin-sons were rescued from execution by the River Gods, who raised them to be exactly like their father in hopes that the Bravehearts could be reformed, but by any time that this could happen, all Clans united into a singular kingdom once more during the Epoch of the Discovery.
      • Chapter 7: The Burnt Eyes
        • A discussion of the savage berserker Great Clan who wore the skin of their enemies as clothing. Why this Great Clan devolved into such brutality was never truly known, and their ruler, Queen Sezo, would only respond to inquiries as to this during parlays by slashing the throats of those who asked. Queen Sezo never sired any legitimate bloodline, and her reign ended when she was killed by her own second-man who took the throne and showcased all of Sezo's traits and more.
      • Chapter 8: The Shadowed Serpents
        • A discussion on the secretive and reclusive Great Clan under the command of someone known only as "Silence." It would appear that this was a title handed down through generations and no one bloodline ever held the title based on legacy. It was one earned through natural talent and honed skill, and under this myriad of leaders, the Shadowed Serpents became the black market of early Credence, trading secrets and offering assassin work in exchange for power, relics, and land.
      • Chapter 9: The River Gods
        • A discussion on the theocratic, monastic, yet humble Great Clan who sought only to train temperament and understanding of Credence's natural energies. It was also this Great Clan whom often sought the aid of the Bravehearts due to the constant advancing slaughters of the Burnt Eyes, hence their readiness to safeguard the last two descendents
