you saw what the dark side does....when something appears that it can not beat those with it run! But you, you were different you stood up to me even tried to bite me! What would your hero think? If they heard you were heading back to something that made you weak?

Stars presence would be felt, that powerful mix of the force like a dragon standing behind her, letting a deep breath out and growling at the dark side that just seemed to scurry back a bit

Vallory grit her teeth together. Her fist to her chest clenched against it, as if holding back something. Holding back from hitting something, from unleashing something. What would her hero think? Would think her foolish no doubt. It took so much of her own mindpower to turn away from the darkness...she began down the other path. But there was one more test. Another presence. Vallory paused. A new feeling came through, this wasn't one she had felt yet. She kneeled. For before her, was the very hero that she spoke of. Or, so she believed.

Kneeling to them, she did not notice them activate a saber of their own. Not before they tried to strike at her, and she managed to roll out of the way. "W-Why?!" They said nothing, but she could hear whispers. Of how she would never be strong. It was the darkness, trying to push her back the way she came. This she did not know.

Stars presence melted away, back to her as she panted sweating as she wiped it away lookimg... it was over half closed...standing she wobbled and went to one knew....that took a bit out of her, setting again she closed her eyes and focused again on her apprentice

fight it...she ir that it can not bend your will...that YOU bend it to YOUR WILL

Vallory went to stand, only to have to flip out of the way as another slash came down at her. Star's voice was heard in her own mind, echoing against the whispers. "She's...she's too powerful! I can't face her! Why is she trying to kill me?!" All of those questions almost went all at once as she tried to comprehend all of it. Her hero, cloaked in a veil of darkness. They were armed, and there was a sudden hatred. A sudden burning feeling encircling them, attempting to force her back. "I need to be more powerful, I can't beat her..." she said quietly.

it is the dark side using what you love against you

A cruel thing it was, a frown formed on her face as she rubbed her chin and let a sigh out before eyes opened again to think over her words before closing them

you stood against a dragon, me, but me and even then tried attacking me after....you have the strenght qnd the bravery...look inside yourself

 

[Vallory]

Vallory held herself there as the presence stood over her. Saber at the ready to bring her down. She was almost about to go for another dodge, when she could hear Stardust in her head again. Now she knew what to do. She closed her eyes, looking inside herself. That's what she had to do, find the true courage. She had to stop acting like others, she had to be herself...to be Vallory. Opening them, she looked up and stood against the presence. Something about this made them pause.

"I am Vallory...born of the family of Sorenn-Syrush. My hero I met, and for so long I wanted to be them. I never looked to being myself. Now I see, I am no longer a copycat. No longer seeking to be someone else but myself. I see only myself...And I no longer need your power." It tugged at her heart, as if there was regret in her words. But after what seemed so long a moment, it vanished. And the dark presence was gone. And with that, she fell to her knees, holding herself up by her hands and only just missing the glow ahead, in the wall.

Stardust was starting to sweat a bit more, finally she broke off after her apprentice had finished and doubled over panting a bit as she sat up and laid back looking to the wall as she as it was nearly closed and drowned sending a quick message mentally


find it with haste

Vallory had to take some time there. So much she had just overcome, with herself and her fears. Her obsessions. Her wants, her only dream. Looking up when hearing Stardust, there it was. The glow. She was sure of it now, and slowly she approached. A dark purple glow to it, was this it? It almost seemed to reflect her eye color, she pushed her palm against the ice wall. Focusing on the wall, attempting t shatter the ice. And just that, she managed as it all came apart and the crystal fell to her feet. Vallory took it in hand then ran off as quickly as she could.

Stardust sgood, waiting now, pride swelled up in her as she smiled and placed her arms behind her back waiting for her apprentice to arrive. Turning she started preparing the ship getting things organized so that her apprentice could make her weapon...not kne given to he rbut ome she made herself

Vallory made it under the closing ice door. She looked back, gasping for air. She made it, didn't lose any pieces under it. She got lucky, very lucky. Turning back forwards, she saw that Stardust had already begun to leave without her. Making her way out of the cavern. But she did not stop in the cargo bay as they boarded the ship. Instead she went right up behind Stardust, and hugged her. "I...I was so afraid. You guided me...the whole way." At least she still had her daring side, pecking her cheek and then retreating to the cargo bay.

She felt her apprentice emerging from the cave, contrary to what she saw start had parts and everything out and about. She was about to turn towards her before she gasped and smiled turning and grabbing her in a tight hug

I can not...lose another apprentice...especially you...vallory...

She used the force to close the door and let go

now...kneel...and present your crystal

 

[Vallory]

Vallory was in surprise as Stardust returned the hug. She did not know at all what she meant by another apprentice and for a moment, she felt she should ask. But that would only ruin the moment they had. Instead she just relaxed in the presence of her master, her close friend. Once let go, she would kneel. Her crystal in the middle of both her hands, presented before her master. Glowing against her pale palms, a dull glow now.

Using the force she raised the crystal watching it glow as she smiled

it reflects the user perfectly, bow your head

Once she did stardust set the crystal back into her hands and pulled a saber out stepping back as she turned it on, raising the blade she went over the left then the right shoulder and spoke

it is my honor, as your master, to promote you to the rank of knight, you've proven yourself and have survived retrieving your saber crystal...and you've made me proud

 

[Vallory]

Vallory couldn't help but smile as she was knighted. She had finally reached a high point within her life. She waited for Stardust move her saber back, so then she would stand and give Star one more hug before going over to the pieces to build her saber. She gathered what she could, and set to work. Using imagination and what she knew of sabers to test different combinations. For sure, this would take much time to complete in doing. All the while, she smiled.
