The Clans Return

Jaster stood in the middle of a large circular room inside his Flagship, Mando Loot, not a strong name, but when you steal a sizable ship for no more of a reason then you could, naming things just becomes tedious. He had sent out a call to the Branch Clans of the Awaud Clan. Many had lost touch since his grandfathers death during the 1st siege of Mandalore. Since then the seat of Alor was left untouched by many. That was until the heir and younger brother of Jaster was killed in a Mass Murder by Death Watch and the Mandalorian Empire. Since then Jaster took up the Title and lead what remaind of his immediate family and used his mass resources to create this mass Fleet Flotilla to wonder the galaxy in search of a new home and reason to be.

He just returned from being trapped on the war torn world of Thyferra, a new ally to his clan in tow. As he arrived to the meeting the other Clan Representatives were already there and quite as he walked in. His Droid attendant was not with him and no other member of Clan Awaud was joining them. He stood alone with his full cybernetic power armor and red closing eyes scanning the room. For a second he stood there, power and veteran experience viberatated from his armor as he broke his scan and took a seat. He looked up from the table as he was as comfortable as he was to get. "Apologies for inviting you all here and being so late, I've sent out the call to inform those of you here that I have taken the Title of Alor of Clan Awaud, though I'm sure all of you know that by now as you answered the call," he looked over the room, "I also wanted to see how much of the Clans accepted me as leader, more then I had thought though, as such I now offer you and your Clans this, by accepting this invitation you now have the full support of my resources and support of any claims, this includes all the ships, soldiers, and equipment I have to offer, and if need be Financial and Reputational support that this Clan can offer."

Mereel leaned forward in his seat and looked to the Mandalorian now sitting at the head of the table.

"I cannot offer you the support of Clan Vaun, but you have the full support of the Iviin'yc and her crew."

Mereel leaned back a little, "I am curious though. How can my vessel aid you?"

Awaud, a name that she had not made mention of for a long time, her family being one of those broken off from the Clan during the many civil wars and internal disputes that had engulfed the Mandalorians. Until now that is, with the invitation from [member="Jaster of Clan Awaud"] a new claimant to the head of the clan with the death of his father, as well as splitting off from the Mando Empire gave her all the hre reason to respond to attend the meeting, representing the Kaie family.

"My family has not keep close contact with what remained of the clan, but our allegiance is still strong and now with you as the heir being separate from the Empire we will once again serve the head of the clan to our full ability, even if its members are even less then before". In a sense, it was a fresh start for the clan in her books, hopefully they would be able to regain their strength in time and once again take place among the galaxy, all but independent.

He looked to the Heir of Clan Vaun, though he distanced himself from his fathers activities, he was a force user. His ship had veteran fighters and an able crew, the Clans and Refugees that joined him were less then that as all the men of Warrior age were killed. While on the Run from First Order Trackers, he meet up with run aways from the lost Civil War. Clan Awaud was always known for opening its arm to those in need as well as a friend to Force Users. He accepted them into the Nomad Fleet.

With the loss of the Dominion Remnants to the Republic, all he had left were the Escort Ships to protect the hundreds of Transport Vessels and Bioships for their food. He needed these Clans who were Loyal to his family to train and educate the next Generation of Mandalorians and possibly the Mandalorian Knights of legend. "With the Dominion Fleet gone, all my ships must now stay and defend the Flotilla, it is still open to attach by the Mando Empire should they find out my clan is hiding Force Users, your ship along with some corvettes will have to help me transport a small team to Vlemoth Port, a hidden planet near the Galactic Empire, that mission is later however."

The Kaie Family were long time allies of the Awauds but departed the family's years ago. Though little is known about them, he is well aware of their lethal abilities in Close Quarters Combat. His grandfather always said they were trained to become Assassins since birth. He was unsure if this was legends or truth, personally he never wanted to find out. The Shitata exile, though not an Under Clan like some others, where a Branch Clan through invite today. He never really spoke with her, and was surprised she even join this meeting. Being a Force Hunter, he could feel that the Representative was a Force User, a dangerous Combination in this current day and age. "I'd like to ask Clans Kaie and Shitata to help with the next mission as well as training the next Generations of Warriors, many of the family's who joined this flotilla are victims of the Civil War, they have asked the Clan Awaud help with their raising and agreed to join my clan when their training was complete, any warrior you train would join your clans if you wish, I'm doing this as a True Mandalorian, not to gain fame."

In truth he was, the war had left Mandalore a rubble of dirt and destruction. Two large clans were brought to ruin by this war, and many Clans were on the brink of extinction. Clan Awaud was known as the clan the supports and helps, while others fight, we heal and supply. It was their Mandalorian Way.

The Skirata Clan, as far as her father was concerned, was long steeped in combat excellence. But with her exile still in place Shika was no longer welcome on the surface of her birth place, it was to dangerous to return whilst her Father breathes. The young girl was tired of running though, ready to return to her roots in Mandalorian culture. The one who had claimed the Title of Alor offered home and family to anyone willing to accept his cause and Shika willing agreed.

Her pacifist ways have hindered her path through the Force, but she felt this was a place she could help rebuild a better world than her Father envisioned. Shika Skirata held her Force sensitivities quiet, with her current company, as she spoke up to be counted amongst those who pledged loyalty.

"I can assist with training of young warriors. If you're people need medical assistance send them to me as well."

The talk of the dominion fleet and what had become of the nation for rejects was long old new, but many were still affected by the down fall, the lack of military ships on there part being a light problem, but in all honesty it could have been worse. As such Chetika was more then willing to help in anyway possible, and though a seemingly minor thing, training the next generation of Mandalorian warriors would be an honor, in addition to making sure the clan always had strong fighters. "I am mot much of a healer type, but I am a decent medic, as for combat skills, my marksmen ship and close quarters fighting could be of use to you and your youngsters, just make sure you are rady for my, 'rough teaching methods'.

Perhaps she would be able to glean some support from the Hutt Lords on Nal Hutta and financial backing from the FWC, but for now this would have to do, besides there was a very low chance anyone would take notice of the clan as of now, with each faction and government, even the Mando Empire having more pressing matters to deal with. "May I ask what else we are to discuss"?

The lack of Ships and support craft as well as money was their main problem, as such many of these young warriors would never receive their armor. Beskar, training, and forging was their current and major problem. All Beskar mining was on Mandalore and since some were Force Users, they would never be allowed entrance without a fight. However, that just couldn't stop them.

"The real reason I have called this meeting was that I was able to find the location of Arumorut, the forgotten settlement of Clan Awaud as well as the Armory for all of the Old Clansmen, and legend states that the Armor of Mand'alor the Uniter is entombed there, long forgotten by the sands of time and the invasion of the Vong."

Jaster hoped that with the Armor in his possession, a moral boost would pick up the Clans and make it through this rough time. They felt safer on the ships, and he wished to find a Colony or Home for these new Generation of Honorable Warriors. The Basics of the education would be handled by his Brother and fellow Clansmen would train large groups of children in the Columns of Honor and basic education. Many of these children's fathers were killed defending them, others lost both parents and siblings brought them to the Honorable Awaud Clan. His grandfather was known for his neutral stance, Clan Awaud never involved themself in state matters, training in the old ways passed down each generation, the way of the Supercommando Codex.

If Mereel would have been drinking when Jaster spoke, he would have spat out his drink instantly, "Osik. That armor would have to be close to three thousand years old now ner vod. If the armor is still there.."

Mereel stopped mid-sentence as he tried to remember the history lessons that he had received while he was a boy at the Clan Vaun estate, "you'd have a relic rivaling the darksaber in both renown and age."

He popped off his buy'ce and put it in his lap. He stared into the cold and unblinking visor. His beskar'gam meant a lot to him, and it had only been in existence for a little over three hundred years. He couldn't imagine how much the armor of Mand'alor the Uniter's must have meant to Jaster.

"Have you already done reconnaissance of the system?"

Chekita had always kept close with Mandaloiran history and culture in close attention, the mere mention of the armor and Jaster's plan to retrieve it sparking quite a lot of interest from the woman. "Are you for real? not only as Mereel said would it be ancient, but such a journey or vogue would take quite a long time to under take. Not that I mind, a nice adventure is always welcome in my books, but it is a monumental under taking". Not only that, having the armour in his use may also paint a target on the clans back, similar to the darksadre those who wielded it where challenged for its right, and in Mandalorian culture trail by combat was a very serious thing indeed.

"I suppose once you have this armor you are prepared to face down those who would challenge your right it wear it? As well as just those who would want it for their own selfish need". She would stand by the clan leader though any challenge that may come their way, but at the same time Kaie was smart, and was not someone to fight a losing battle, the whole reason her ancestors broke of from the clan and the constant civil wars that left countless dead and nothing to gain from it.

He had sent out a scout party to see if the rumors were true, but they were only able to locate the Vlemoth Port as when they arrived in orbit the Galactic Empire was also near and Mandalorian Ships were often fired upon. For good reason of course this was need, as the Mandalorian were raiding everything not nailed down. However, this made the mission a little harder. With the fleet gone and only Free Mandalorian Ships available he would have to ask Vaun for help. He would have to take the small strike force to the planet and assist with the taking of anything that belonged to the Awaud Clan, including the possible large armory that was rumored to be there.

He looked over the other Mandalorians, "We were only able to find the planet, anything else was nearly impossible, the galactic empire has set up a listening post in a near by system and my ships would be picked up easy by them." He looked over them, "Mereel is going to have to take us in with a small strike force of my Supercommandos, we will and at the legends locations and raid what we can, for those that help, there is legends of the Beskar Armor in the Armory, though many may be rusted to nearly unusable conditions, but you may use this armor for your personal units."

Chekita peaked her head up at the new information brought to light, a planet was a good start, more one that was not to heavy populated, around 500'000 or so, very small compared to places like Correlia well what was left of it. "So Galactic Empire's keeping an ye about ey seems like a good plan, small strike team, unmarked ship I hope, go in get out before anything bad happened and take hat is rightfully our, by the way Mereel, what type of ship do you have, also how many super commands are we taking with us".

She may not have been a military leader, or a commanding officer of any type, but Chekita was still a tactical person, a sticker for fine detail, she'd want to know almost the entire detail of the operation before hand, in the off hand chance things sent south and they needed a plan B. After all it was a living, getting out of tight spaces with the odd stacked against you, while trying to keep some ungrateful nerf herder alive. "Well if where already in orbit and a plans been set out I best get ready, maybe put my battle master armor to good use and all".

He couldn't help but flash a smile as he thought about the Iviin'yc, "My ship's a retrofitted CR90. She doesn't have much room for passengers though, only got room for twenty unless I empty out the cargo hold and throw bedrolls in it."

He chewed on his cheek as he thought over Jaster's comment about the Galactic Empire listening post. "If you can get past the low passenger count, she's perfect for being discreet. And she's probably the fastest corvette you can find that can also pass off as being a civvy vessel. Got a decent sized cargo hold to boot."

The planet was still somewhat of a problem to get to, Imperial Presence would mean pissing off a nation of crazed imperialist. It was true, a the nation was nearly falling apart, but the Neutral Clans were too small to take on a cornered Animal. Once this was over, he would conduct small raids on the nations boarders. It's wars with the CIS and GA, thinned their defensives and easy targets for outpost along the Mara Corridor, trade control of that literally was the Blood Line of the GE and the TSE supply line. Admiral Gaf was legendary for his Ship Build. He had the pleasure of fighting the man in Space Combat many years ago. Now however, was the time to retrieve his families Pride and Honor back.

Jaster looked at the people in the room. "My Clans Historians also state the same thing, they believe that the helmet and some thicker parts of the armor may remain," he straightened his posture, "The main thing that we will be raiding however is left over Salvagable Beskar, we just uncovered the possibility of recovering the armor after we learned the name of the planet."

The meeting was dragging for too long he decided to get to the plan, "A small force of Dia Shadow Mandalorian Warriors will accompany us, I have permission from the United Trade Coalition for Trade Cargo to the planet, we get in, get the stuff and get off world in 24 hours, quick and easy mission."

If histories had already confirmed the amount of armor present she had not issues with such a possible risky mission, as long as they had conformation, had a plan of attack and a clear objective she was all on board. "Salvageable Beskar hmmm, I could reforge such metal and armor pieces into wearable suits if need be, it has been a long time since anyone in my family has donned Mandalorian armor. Perhaps she would be able to get more members of her family to return to the clan and once again take up arms, but that was if such a mission succeeded in the first place.

Remaining seated she intently listened to the plan of action, the trade rout scam being a decent method of infiltration, [member="Jaster of Clan Awaud"] had definitely done his research on Graf and the Empire. These days it was quite easy to get into the Empire with the current wars a huge mercenary hiring campaign being broadcasted by the waning faction in attempts to bolster their ranks, what a foolish attempt at keeping power, it would only help their downfall.

"Sneaky sneaky I like sneaky sneaky, with a hint of brutal combat, too bad about the time limit, but I can't be picky about this", still such a combat mission was not something she took part in often, in her mind it was worth it. "If that is everything we need to know i'd best get ready, don't want to keep the enemy waiting now then".

[member="Jaster of Clan Awaud"] l [member="Mereel Vaun"] l [member="Shika Skirata"]

Jaster nodded at the crew, it was now time to run the mission for the group. Jasters personal Honor Guards of Mandalorian Warriors would accompany them. The government was still indecent from the Galactic Empire, so they didn't mind the trading caravan. Branches of the Intergalactic Banking Clan pretty much still ran the planet. Money was money, and they were in need of such here.

Exiting Hyperspace over the planets

The Ship that belonged to [member="Mereel Vaun"] entered the orbit of the planet. The government accepted the Merchant Codes and the ship was able to send Transport to the Requestes positions. Jaster expected worse resistance from the locals, but a neutral Star System between the CIS and the Galactic Empire, it took supplies from any source as anything was better then nothing. The UTC was also known for Trading reliable weapons and Droids, good for the defense of a planet for a short seige. It was possible they just wanted good favor with the merchant conglomerate. He loaded the Clan and its allies into two seperate transports and worked their way to the legendary location of the Awaud Homestead that was used as the headquarters of the planetary Colony. No-one would know what was laying ahead of them, this was a place of legend after all.
