Tertius C. Nargath
The Third

A sense of pride washed over Tertius as he heard how his words were not seen as the ramblings of any old corporate in this primarily military driven meeting. At the very least it was a testament to the expertise of the men and women in this room that they did not ignore the opinion of a corporate entity whose bread and butter was military hardware, even if the company had offered a large amount of civilian services, it was undeniable throughout its history that it had mainly thrived on the military aspect of most of its products.
This expertise thus also translated itself in a knowledge on its clients, a better view of its opponents and rivals, thus a much clearer sight on the issues related to various military institutions and their thought process.
hearing how his new CEO also seemed to be quite keen on giving her own opinions, the man at first leaned back a bit in his chair, closing his eyes as he listened to the words of the others present, their thoughts on how the doctrines should work and be approached, their mindful observations of possible flaws in eachothers proposals and effective solutions to the aforementioned. Yet, it was only when

"I believe that an expansion of the academic locations would still be beneficial for the confederation, Supreme Commander Sularen," The Marquis exhaled gently, raising a hand, and stretching out his index finger upwards, as if to make a poignant statement which could and should not be ignored. "To put all of one's eggs in one basket would result in a problem when there is a hole in the basket. Though I have no doubt the academic locations you currently hold are secure and strongly defended, perhaps you could build up several excursion sites spread across the confederation for training purposes, but also to spread out the students...avoiding the possibility of irreparable damage to the future of the Imperial Confederation were any enemy; be it foreign or domestic, to target the future of the military."
