BOUNTY HUNTERS' GUILD LODGE

The inside of the Guild Lodge on Nar Shaddaa needed serious renovations. It was old and rundown and had not seen routine maintenance in decades. Small wonder that the Bounty Hunters of the galaxy tended to steer their own way.

Mauve intended to right the ship.

"You're probably all wondering why I'm here," she said to the gathered bounty hunters inside the Lodge's grimy cantina. She glanced down at her glass of whiskey, which looked suspect.

"I intend to help finance the Guild getting back on its feet. My Whisper Network will supply you with intelligence on bounties, in exchange for which I receive small fees from the Guild. But the first order of business is very simple. You all need to elect a representative."

Violet eyes surveyed the gathered group.

"Once I've poured credits into this place it can be a properly functioning lodge again. A neutral zone for all hunters to meet and discuss business, organize hunts, buy equipment," she shrugged, "and whatever else it is you hunters do... but first you need a leader. So. Any takers?"

A representative. A face to be conjured up whenever someone thought of the guild, of all bounty hunters.

Pride made him dwell on the idea of being that face, and a word or two almost slipped forth from beneath that infamous helmeted visage. Almost, that is. Freedom was among the greatest virtues. The freedom to move, to hunt, to lie and to cheat - as much a part of a bounty hunter's arsenal as his blaster - and to kill. The bureaucracy of guild master would slow him down. Much like a shark, to slow was to die. He would settle for his current status being enough to sate his ego.

Though, he was still curious enough.

"Each bounty hunter represents himself," he said, nursing his slung carbine, "What would we need someone else for?"

"...so you can still have time to gallivant around in that armor."

Lifting his head up to the crowd, Lynch directed his eyes to the Mandalorian. Fett was no newcomer when it came to this line of work. But neither was Lynch. The man had been around this guild for long enough to witness its previous reformation, back when Bryn'adul were still on the menu. Once the Black Sun Syndicate took over, most of the bounty work got channeled there. Now that the Underlord has disappeared, the guild became a shell of its former self.

He knew about the inner workings of bounty hunting more than anyone this side of the Rim. What Fett failed to realize was there was someone that had to collect and issue bounties, assign hunters, datamine targets, direct capture rendezvous, and manage payouts. Wasn't as simple as just shooting someone dead in the street.

"I'm tossing my hat in the ring. Guild contracting has been my trade for a decade now. If anyone should be directing this place, it should be me."

The man was not simply speaking into open air. His reputation proceeds him. Hell, he had worked for Mauve in the past, alongside numerous other Vigos. The choice was obvious. It was only a matter of waiting to see who else tried taking the offer.
