Today was a good day, compared to the many others over the past two months. The usually troubled seer was feeling perhaps a smidge jubilant, and with good reason: word had reached him that only days after [member="Kian Karr"] had been congratulating him on his ascension had the Kel Dor been accorded further rank, as well.
Just a few days before, his friend had made him very carefully aware of the existence of the Shadows and his efforts to build them up again, and Jan had just as carefully made his offer to help in any way he could. Some of his skills could be quite useful to a Shadow and/or a Sentinel in particular, and that is why he was here today, the only extra item he had on hand was the pair of protective lenses perched atop his head.
It wouldn't do to temporarily blind himself in teaching, as he had managed to do in learning the skills of Force-flash and Force Light, the former of which he was here now to impart to a friend. While waiting, he slipped the protective lenses over his eyes and gave the skill a try-out, having not used it recently. After a moment or two a flash some degrees brighter than that first attempt on Ruusan resulted, some solemness creeping into his expression after the sudden brightness winked out; his hand dropped to his side, as he remembered [member="Kira Liadain"]'s cheerful face from that day, a constant of of his early days with the Jedi.
All he knew was that she was alive - something he had learned was called a 'master-student bond' would have let him know if she was gone. It was some small comfort.
