Private The Brighter Side

Falentra had been housed on this particular SD for about a month - sometimes generously getting some time on land. Unfortunately, not in water bodies. Although most of the Lightsworn would be familiar with this unique captive, she still was not allowed to roam around without supervision. There was not much harm she could do with anti-force administered, none of that she'd intend. The lightsworn were helping her get rid of the darkness - that shadow she once abhorred.

The teen was in her cell bunk waiting to be collected. She wondered what she'd be doing today and which of the lightsworn would be tasked to supervise her today.

Sol was no stranger to taking care of others, but it had been a long time since she had to do something akin to babysitting. 'Supervise' was definitely a better term given the situation and age of the person she was going to be looking after.

Sol didn't have much planned for herself today, so when Kyric Kyric asked her to keep an eye on Nouqai, why would she say no?

Kyric had briefed Sol on Nouqai early on. The Lightsworn were attempting rehabilitation, a move that Sol was surprised by given the more extremist ideas that separated the group from others. But it was a pleasant surprise, and Kyric had high hopes. So Sol would, too.

Sol had given the girl a simple nod in greeting when they were first introduced, unable to do much more before continuing on her mission for the day. The mirialan didn't know much about the girl other than what she got from the briefing, and what she would sometimes overhear in passing. She mostly saw the teen from afar when they did cross paths.

Today would be different.

Sol made her way to Nouqai's room with her hands clasped behind her back. She mulled over things the two could do to pass the time. She eventually settled on something that would let the two move about and engage their brains, instead of just wandering the halls or sitting idle.

A durasteel door slid open, and Sol stood in it's frame. Her blue gaze easily caught sight of the colorful teen on her bunk.

"Nouqai," Sol offered a polite smile and bowed her head. "It's been awhile. I hope you are doing well." The mirialan raised her head. "You'll be with me today."

The door of her cell opened to a green mirillian whom shed seen around every now and then, but now she was here, she could get a better look at her and the young woman was actually quite lovely. There weren't a whole lot of women among the lightsworn. With short dark hair framing her petite face, her cerulean blue eyes complimenting emerald skin, her features were almost envious compared to her freakish ones. They were about the same height, but she had 8 more limbs extending from her head.

"Good morning. Sol is it?" She asked, confirming her name. "What are the plans for today?" Hopefully no chores this time. Perhaps some time on land, and maybe even a small mission. But she doubted Sol would risk the latter, she barely knew her unlike the other lightsworn who had more time with her over the past few weeks.

The mirialan nodded at Nouqai's correct guess.

" Tydeus of Tion Tydeus of Tion has set up a mock gym in one of the cargo holds of the ship," Sol barely suppressed an amused smile at the thought. "Would you be interested in some light sparring and exercise? I assume it would be more entertaining for you than most things happening here."

Sol gestured for Nouqai to accompany her into the hallway.

Most things happening on the ship, from Sol's perspective, involved a lot of thinking and talking. Discussions about hyperspace lanes and the occasional pirates. Maybe Sol had to heal an injury or check on the recovery of one of her comrade's wounds. None of it was particularly exciting or fun, probably less so for a tag-along with no stake in any of it.

Beckoned, Nouqai trailed along. Training did not sound too bad, although she was feeling more for some proper duels than 'light sparring'. Her training sessions under Darth Malum of House Marr Darth Malum of House Marr were intense, especially after he had found out the implant she gotten installed in her head without informing him prior. It was a secret that remained for 3 months before he inevitably discovered, and was not too happy about it. Through blood, sweat, and much stress, she had to prove herself that she was not just better because of the augment in her head. It was almost cruel, but made her tougher, physically and mentally nonetheless.

"Were you at coruscant during the battle?" She asked as they walked along.

Sol led the two with a relaxed but steady pace.

"I was. It was quite the experience. Like nothing I'd seen before." The two turned a corner. The mirialan mulled over how to continue the conversation. What parts to add or omit. Sol decided not to immediately touch upon the cruel realities of war in her first real conversation with Nouqai, and summarized. "I helped people evacuate and healed the wounded I came across in between. I wasn't personally involved in any pivotal battles, or something like that, though."

Sol flashed the teen a sorry smile, as though she wished she had something more exciting to say. "
Have you been to Coruscant?"

Nouqai nodded sombrely. The planet was once her home, she could only imagine the extent of damage caused by the battle. Two sides, the clash of light and left a trial of destruction. "I wished I could have helped." She admitted, but then, she was in a cell while the others fought.

"Believe it or not, I grew up in the temple. Coruscant was my home." Not all the lightsworn knew about her unique case, or the full details of it. It was unlikely given that she was a Sithspawn. Her history was still much a mystery to herself. "I was Jedi - a padawan. Damien Zannen Damien Zannen was my master."
