OOC account
There are two versions of the Bounty Hunter's League Code of conduct, One That extends to In character interaction, and one that extends to out of character interaction. the OOC variant of our code should be followed whenever possible, Part of bringing bounty hunting back to the galactic table is keeping everything civil OOC wise, and making sure that both sides of a hunt have fun, and tell their stories well.
The IC variant of the code is more so guidelines than actual enforced rules, but deviating from them can have IC consequences depending on the severity, We have to have some regulation after all ; )
Both Bounty Hunter and Bountee shall write for fun, not just victory. If only one writer enjoys the thread, than our occupation slips further away from progress, and nothing has been achieved.
(Public threads are open true, but one should check the thread's purpose and check in with the bountee ahead of time to avoid crashing a story.)
The Hunter should always strive to be as polite as possible, The league should be represented well, and so too should the hunters.
(More or less what we're really after is just basic civility if arguments break out and all that jazz, but it never hearts to be a gentleman.)
Help your fellow hunters
(This applies in several ways, we expect the community of hunters to help one another of course, be that in aiding the hunt, checking up on one another's general well being, or maybe even passing around knowledge to help one another's submissions. But this doesn't apply to league members only, The purpose of the league is to bring bounty hunting back to the stage as whole, not just our faction's hunters. Maybe you see a new player who wants to play a bounty hunter, do what you can to set them on the right path. and no, that does not mean having several league hunters jumping on them with faction invites. If you want to invite them to the league, make an offer and respect their decision regardless of the outcome)
IC:
"Charge and receive fair pay, Never sell yourself short, but never oversell yourself either"
"Never Disrespect an employer, or potential employer"
"Never lie to the league, and never betray your fellow hunters"
"Bounties may be acquisitions, but those acquisitions, if left alive, will remember you. keep that in mind when deciding how to approach your next contract"
And of course, How could anyone forget the bounty hunter's creed?
