The ship entered orbit without issue. The cloaking more than enough to avoid casual observation and molestation by random checks. The ancient clan ship broke through the clouds leaving nothing but a trail of steam in it's wake as it neared the watery surface of the world. The dotted islands of the planet scattered like spines of a sleeping beast as the ship marked the starting location of its galactic safari.

The warrior moved low and slow over the water before finding a location to sink his ship and slowly lowered it to the bottom of thee rocky ocean. Methodically the ancient armored warrior gathered the tools of his trade. He exited from the airlock and left the ship in stealth before he began the long swim to the rocky island shore. He wass hunting a strong creature. Long lived and powerful, especially with all of the temples and ancient places of this planet. He had done his research well. He only hoped the creatures, the La-Dab were worth his time. A weak hunt was not honorable.

He climbed over the rocks and stone. The glistening rock of the cliffside bit at his unarmored hands as he made his way. The crash of the ocean waves beneath him as he climbed sprayed over his armor and caused sparks to fly from his active camouflage. It didn't particularly matter for this portion of the hunt, but soon, so he would need to be careful after his climb. The moonlight cast long shadows around him and made the edge of the cliff a near endless void that melded into the distant stars. He was willing to climb that far, for honor and glory of his clan and to be recognized by a mate he would do that and more.

A massive clawed hand reached over the edge of the island cliff followed by another. He pulled himself up hard and landed on his feet in a crouch and activated his thermal imaging on his buy'ce and quickly surveyed his surroundings. Caves and and hills rolled across the island but he had chosen this particular spot for its remoteness. He would locate a smaller cave and possibly a hive. The creatures were invasive here. barely worth anything as anything more than a minor trophy on his wall. But as a starting point the unknown regions and an isolated world would allow him to begin to hone his technique and work out the best methods for remaining unseen during a hunt.

Guan-Thwei hit a few keys on his gauntlet and overlaid a map over his vision for a moment as he plotted a path to the nearest cave for his first inspection of the world and its flora and fauna. Then after a brief count of his weapons and tools he was on the way.

Long strides devoured the ground like a starved strill with a mound of bones. The night time island blurred by like a fever dream as Guan-Thwei moved. He barely made a sound as He covered the distance between the cliff and the nearest cave mouth. His active camouflage activated as he neared and his massive predatory form became nearly perfectly translucent. Only the slight blurring of lines around his silhouette were noticeable while he was in motion. The visor over his eyes flashed green briefly as his vision mode changed.

Motion was marked in several places as he checked his location overlay in his hud but none were the crrect size for his prey. Too small bird like creatures and overly large non aggressive herbivores in multiple areas caught the edges of his vision as he stopped to observe the cave he had picked out for his hunt. Heating coils in his armor warmed him against the night air and wicked away the small amount of musky sweat that had tried to accumulate after his sprint. He armed his shoulder mounted plasma blaster and his gauntlet blades as he watched the cave. He saw signs of his prey already. Gouges and prints from their claws.

He was ready. He checked his spear, medkit, and discblade before he slowly approached. It could almost sense it when the first of the La-Dab stuck its head out of the cave to sniff the night air. He was ready to the battles to come.

The sun rose slowly over the undulating horizon as the distant rise and swell of the world sea made it's way toward him. His clawed feet hung over the rocky tower as it stood sentinel over the island. The Hunter slowly sprayed a sealant over the elongated fanged skull in his hand to preserve it for his wall. The hunt had been a good one. However, not exactly as planned. The La-Dab males were simple animals. Nothing more than an annoyance one on one. They became dangerous in large numbers however. It was the females, like the one who's skull he now held that were the dangerous prey.

He had drawn it out. Coaxed it from hiding with the trail of corpses of its drones. The heads and spines removed from the trail of corpses that lead out into the night. He knew that it would come if anger enough so he had left the bodies displayed, hung from the cave tunnels by their feet. It was far more intelligent than he had given it credit for. The female had not followed the trail, but had exited the cave system from a hiden entrance and tried to flank him. He had succeeded however in stirring the cunning thing into a rage.

She had attacked with tooth and claw. For honors sake he had fought the creature equally unarmed. It was fast and vicious. And even managed to tear a quartet of furrows across his arm before lunging at a poor moment. He had caught her by the throat with one clawed hand and held her aloft like a kicking rag doll before He grabbed her with his other hand and removing her head while she still lived. He had watched for a moment as the body kicked its heels against the rocky ground and then he had went back to collect his trophies. Twenty three successful and honorable kills. A good hunt. Now with a sack of trophies he stood on the rocky spire and roared into the rising sun before he called his ship with the autopilot.

The ship came and he boarded. Moving first back into orbit and cloaking before he began putting the trophies up in his trophy room in the back of the ship where he could display them proudly. He would return to Mandalore next. To hunt the badlands the sith had made for them.
