The Blazing Chain is a conglomerate of pirate fleets, many of whom hail from the Firefist Galaxy or the outermost reaches beyond Kwenn Station. The opportunities created by chaos in the Core drew them together, as did the promise of safe haven in the Hapes System. Utilizing the Hapes nebula to launch raids and acting under the most dubious letters of marque imaginable, the Blazing Chain pirates prey upon the hyperlanes and worlds of Core and Mid-Rim alike, hoarding the riches sacked from merchant ships and vulnerable planets. For a price, they can be hired. The current makeup of the Blazing Chain consists primarily of Vahlan and Hapan pirates.
RATIONALE
Hasuras na-Gerra is the leader of the Vahlan corsairs from the Firefist Galaxy and their fleet, the Wrath of Vahl. After several victorious raids with the Sith Order, he launched a raid upon Hapes itself, which saw the death of the Queen Mother and the abduction of the Ducha Aurellia Revali. The clever Ducha cut a deal with him, whereby she would be released in exchange for a marriage arrangement between them. Now, as Consort to the new Queen Mother, Gerra secured safe harbor for many pirates who now band together under the flag of the Blazing Chain. His command over the Vahlan corsairs and political position with the Hapans has rendered him leader of the Blazing Chain, but such is always a precarious position.
